Children’S Book

I bought this book for my child and was reading it to them one night when I noticed something odd about the illustrations contained within the book。 I have always loved illustrations in children’s books, because they are simple enough to be understood by little ones, but they can also carry meaning。 I noticed that a good amount of the pictures of this book were copy and pasted around the page。 The children might not notice this, but I certainly did, and I wonder why the artist would skimp out on I bought this book for my child and was reading it to them one night when I noticed something odd about the illustrations contained within the book。 I have always loved illustrations in children’s books, because they are simple enough to be understood by little ones, but they can also carry meaning。 I noticed that a good amount of the pictures of this book were copy and pasted around the page。 The children might not notice this, but I certainly did, and I wonder why the artist would skimp out on these fairly easy illustrations。 It would not have been hard to do, and In my opinion would have made my experience reading the book more enjoyable。 I think this one little detail shows how little effort was put into this book, and it just doesn’t sit right in my heart。 。。。more

This is a super cute board book that would be great for an interactive storytime session。

Mary

A beautiful board book that is both a counting book and guessing game。 At first glance, each page displays an ordinary everyday item, but once the fold is expanded a total different picture is revealed。 This is a very clever book that has much to offer and will be fun to share。

Anna

This book was super cool! Not only did it work on counting, but also with different perspectives of things。 Fiona loved looking at the pictures。

Theme: counting, animals, predictions, animalsThis is a great flap book with clever drawings that transform into new larger images。 I like this book for my 3 year old who is learning to recognize his numbers。

Beth

Great book for super young readers。 The pages allow interaction and the surprise pictures encourage rereading。 And counting is always fun as are the monochromatic cover pages。

Look, Look Again is a colorful, whimsical, and well-designed board book that combines a counting lesson with a guessing game。 Ten delightfully surprising fold-out pages first depict one object and then reveal it to be something entirely else:It is so much fun to witness a donut turn into a cat, an apple into two crocodiles, a flower into three roosters, or a lemon into “10 little chicks saying goodbye,” that it is easy to ignore the fact that a couple of transformations are not very convincing ( Look, Look Again is a colorful, whimsical, and well-designed board book that combines a counting lesson with a guessing game。 Ten delightfully surprising fold-out pages first depict one object and then reveal it to be something entirely else:It is so much fun to witness a donut turn into a cat, an apple into two crocodiles, a flower into three roosters, or a lemon into “10 little chicks saying goodbye,” that it is easy to ignore the fact that a couple of transformations are not very convincing (e。g。, when a carrot becomes a part of rabbits’ ears, the ears still have green carrot leaves sprouting from the top)。 。。。more

Lift-the-flap books are a great for holding baby's attention, and building the page-turning anticipation that is the foundation for a life long love of books。 This one is particularly well designed, and will also start to instill in the wee ones an understanding of numbers and counting。 Lift-the-flap books are a great for holding baby's attention, and building the page-turning anticipation that is the foundation for a life long love of books。 This one is particularly well designed, and will also start to instill in the wee ones an understanding of numbers and counting。 。。。more

Great board book about illusion- you think you see one thing and then you unfold the pages and it's something else entirely! Great board book about illusion- you think you see one thing and then you unfold the pages and it's something else entirely! 。。。more

Love the anticipation of finding out what it really is revealed in unfolding the page。Love the inclusion of numbers。Novelty + Concept (counting) = win, win。

A creative mix of guessing game, pull out the flap which extends the page to three panels where one counts the objects had have the form of the one object worked into their design。 Well done。

This book blew my mind。

A precursor to optical illusion books for little ones。 Fun way to get kids to try to look at things in a different way while also counting to 10。

Leslie

Darling book! Looking forward to sharing this!

This is a counting boardbook with pull out flaps。 Originally an illustration of one item, each page pulls out to be the next number of characters counting from 1 to 10。 A flower becomes 2 crocodiles, a carrot, 8 rabbits。 Provides lots of counting opportunities。

Samantha

A clever board book that counts from 1-10 using folded illustrations that appear to be one thing, but then unfold to reveal a completely different scene。The writing is great for reading aloud, the premise is well done, and vibrant digital artwork is beautiful and features well-played transformations。Highly recommended for sharing with Toddlers and PreK。

I love Minedition board books。 They are so unique and thought-provoking。

Excellent and durable flap book, sure to withstand many readings - and there will be many repeat readings of this one, as it's so appealing and clever。 Great way to introduce numbers, and to start early with the concept that things usually merit a second look。 Excellent and durable flap book, sure to withstand many readings - and there will be many repeat readings of this one, as it's so appealing and clever。 Great way to introduce numbers, and to start early with the concept that things usually merit a second look。 。。。more

Board Book ages 0-2This interactive counting book asks children to look again。 Each spread features an image made from a folder page - one strawberry opens up to be 5 birds, etc。 It's very clever and sure to keep kids guessing from page to page time and time again。 And unlike flaps or tabs, these page cannot be destroyed by little ones。 This book is excellent。http://www。momsradius。com/2016/11/cyb。。。 Board Book ages 0-2This interactive counting book asks children to look again。 Each spread features an image made from a folder page - one strawberry opens up to be 5 birds, etc。 It's very clever and sure to keep kids guessing from page to page time and time again。 And unlike flaps or tabs, these page cannot be destroyed by little ones。 This book is excellent。http://www。momsradius。com/2016/11/cyb。。。 。。。more
