Summary

It's no longer safe for Harry at Hogwarts, so he and his best friends, Ron and Hermione, are on the run。 Professor Dumbledore has given them clues about what they need to do to defeat the dark wizard, Lord Voldemort, once and for all, but it's up to them to figure out what these hints and suggestions really mean。 Their cross-country odyssey has them searching desperately for the answers, while evading capture or death at every turn。 At the same time, their friendship, fortitude, and sense of right and wrong are tested in ways they never could have imagined。 The ultimate battle between good and evil that closes out this final chapter of the epic series takes place where Harry's Wizarding life began: at Hogwarts。 The satisfying conclusion offers shocking last-minute twists, incredible acts of courage, powerful new forms of magic, and the resolution of many mysteries。 Above all, this intense, cathartic book serves as a clear statement of the message at the heart of the Harry Potter series: that choice matters much more than destiny, and that love will always triumph over death。

Great book and so much more detailed than the movie but it did not surpass the Half-Blood Prince。 It took longer to read since I was not as engaged as the previous book still a great read to pass the time。

Mathew S

Okay, they said that better than I would。 This is the best 600 page book I have ever written。 To have action for that long with so little people for half the time is amazing。

Brillante! Acabo de terminar de releer la saga y 。。。 Brillante!!

In my opinion the best of the saga。 The most adult book of the seven。 I had loved the fourth one and I considered it my favourite but this one overcame it。

It was my first time reading through all of the Harry Potter books this year and I loved the experience so much。 The books give so much more than the movies and honestly I don't know how the movies made sense to me before I read the books。 There's so much that isn't explained and left out。 Also my favourite characters interestingly switched from Remus Lupin to Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter。 I still love the movies though, and there are elements that did improve the story。 For example, Alan Rickm It was my first time reading through all of the Harry Potter books this year and I loved the experience so much。 The books give so much more than the movies and honestly I don't know how the movies made sense to me before I read the books。 There's so much that isn't explained and left out。 Also my favourite characters interestingly switched from Remus Lupin to Draco Malfoy and Harry Potter。 I still love the movies though, and there are elements that did improve the story。 For example, Alan Rickman gave Snape's character elements of emotion that I found the book Snape to be missing。 I didn't feel empathy or any kind of sorry for the book character, but Rickman managed to completely turn that around with his performance。 Characters like Lupin and Sirius were also fleshed out better in the movies。 Lupin is my favourite characters from the movies and I was so disappointed with his book character。 He just felt flat, kind of unimportant and weirdly contradictory in terms of personality at times - but this may be because I was so used to the movie version。There are a lot of plot holes as mentioned by many previous to me, and some plot devices that seem thrown in to fill in the story and just to give explanations for particular things。 I still enjoyed it though。 It was whimsical, so cosy, I loved the characters and the settings。 I didn't want to put the books down and I am very sad to have completed the whole series now。My favourites of the series I'd say are The Chamber of Secrets, The Goblet of Fire, and The Half Blood Prince。 。。。more

Worth reading if you have read all the previous parts。All the facts, the meaning of deathly hollows, significance of love and friendship and true character of Snape is revealed in the book。

A great finish to a great series。 Re-reading this series reminded what I loved about it the first time: the world building, the seamless submersion into the story, how easy it is (usually) to forget everything around you and just plunge headfirst into Harry's life, just like he would into a pensive。 If a book manages to catch my attention until its end, then I'm happy, if a *series* manages to do that until the very end of the very last book, then I'm ecstatic。 I absolutely loved how timeless it A great finish to a great series。 Re-reading this series reminded what I loved about it the first time: the world building, the seamless submersion into the story, how easy it is (usually) to forget everything around you and just plunge headfirst into Harry's life, just like he would into a pensive。 If a book manages to catch my attention until its end, then I'm happy, if a *series* manages to do that until the very end of the very last book, then I'm ecstatic。 I absolutely loved how timeless it is for me, just being able to go back after years of having read it the first time and read them all one after another in quick succession was simply amazing, it made the whole experience for me even better。 I love these books, I really really do and I'm so glad that there are places that still surprise me, even after reading them over and over again, it's simply amazing♡ kudos。 。。。more

This one is certainly a lot scarier than the others, but the story kept an exceptional pace and so much excitement! I loved how she wrapped up the story, and so many dots were connected。 The series made me feel happy, I loved it so much!
