I have no words which could fully describe how i feel having finished this book。 This took me completely unawares; despite the slow pace at the beginning i found myself absolutely tearing through it towards the end。 I loved seeing how the characters developed and grew and how it ended!

ok i loved the romanticism-going to balls-distress over relationships-fancy dresses ness of this book。 it’s very me。 the only part that seemed to drag to me was the winter after bingley and darcy left, and the trip to rosings。 otherwise i enjoyed the subplot。 i really had no affection for darcy until he was met again at pemberely。 i also really hated a lot characters (collins, wickham, lady catherine, caroline)。 i really enjoyed the sisterly relationships, especially of jane and elizabeth and ly ok i loved the romanticism-going to balls-distress over relationships-fancy dresses ness of this book。 it’s very me。 the only part that seemed to drag to me was the winter after bingley and darcy left, and the trip to rosings。 otherwise i enjoyed the subplot。 i really had no affection for darcy until he was met again at pemberely。 i also really hated a lot characters (collins, wickham, lady catherine, caroline)。 i really enjoyed the sisterly relationships, especially of jane and elizabeth and lydia and kitty。 i also love lydia oops。 once again would have enjoyed more if i wasn’t being forced to read for school。 i liked the ending。 。。。more

I’m ashamed to admit I slightly dreaded reading this book。 Feeling as if I’ve not had the best literary upbringing, I’m trying to work my way through some acclaimed classics。 So far very few have interested me and instead have been a burden to read。 The young man at the book shop assured me it was one of his favourites and his eyes lit up when I told him it was my first time reading。 This still didn’t persuade me into thinking I would enjoy。 It’s hardly an original thought but this book is so br I’m ashamed to admit I slightly dreaded reading this book。 Feeling as if I’ve not had the best literary upbringing, I’m trying to work my way through some acclaimed classics。 So far very few have interested me and instead have been a burden to read。 The young man at the book shop assured me it was one of his favourites and his eyes lit up when I told him it was my first time reading。 This still didn’t persuade me into thinking I would enjoy。 It’s hardly an original thought but this book is so brilliant, modern and captivating for it being written 200 years ago。 Jane Austen has an incredible ability to capture society (and it’s meany qualities that are still relevant today) in a witty and charming manner。The story of the Bennett’s and their 5 daughters had me hooked from the beginning and though the story is rather predictable it didn’t deter me from wanting to finish the book and know the outcome。 I only wish Austen could have been bolder with her feminist views but I assume this is a sign of the 19th century and she didn’t want her perceptivity to be known to everyone。 It’s an easy read and for those looking for an introduction to classic literature, I highly recommend。 。。。more

Jestem zachwycona

Whilst any book of these times comes with a language unusual to the modern ear, with patience and trust the charming nature of Austens crown jewel begins to beguil you。 So much so that cynics will fall and romantics like myself will believe in love that little bit more!

Lilian García

“You are too generous to trifle with me。 If your feelings are still what they were last April, tell me so at once。 My affections and wishes are unchanged; but one word from you will silence me on this subject for ever。”In love forever

My Rating: 5/5I finally read this classic that people have been on my case about for years! And I get it now。 The romance in this is just astounding and really timeless。 I understand now why women talk about finding their Mr。 Darcy and how he is a true love interest for the ages。 Elizabeth is an amazing character especially to be written in the time that it was, I'm impressed by the way she holds her own。 I plan to read more classics from Jane Austen, and exploring more classics via audiobook as My Rating: 5/5I finally read this classic that people have been on my case about for years! This book is captivating。 Even though there aren’t really any mind blowing events in the beginning it can suck you into the story。 And even though it is a bit of a slow book/burner I really liked the story and the characters

Natasha Belle

A classical novel with amazingly written characters! It’s such an accurate reflection of the old society standards: the race to marry the wealthiest gentleman, the game that young ladies pretend to play with them and vice versa, the position in the hierarchy of the middle, low and high classes and the family, and of course, the pride and the prejudice。

Alessandra

Sopravvalutato。

I absolutely loved this book and once again I can only say that Jane Austin is a genius。 Not only is the book well written it also has many surprising turns which makes you want to continue reading it but on the other hand it took along time getting there。

Lesley

Just fabulousJust loved it all will probably read again as there is so much more than any of the movies show
