This information is useful。 It is very dry。 The PMP exam changed format earlier this year and used this 6th edition as the textbook。 The material included in the exam prep materials provided by PMI was organized in a more intuitive manner （according to how the exam is organized as opposed to the linear style shown in this book）。 Overall， this is dry， but it tells you what you need for the exam。

I read the PMBOK 6th Edition without the Agile guide。 The book could be 3/5 as long and provide a more succinct description of Project Management。 It also has a few typos。 It hammered home that I need to compartmentalize projects and have a time horizon for the implementation of many processes。 I would not suggest this book to others for learning。

- The book is a good guide forbest project management processes and practices。- It contains a hude compressed data spread along 13 chapters， each represent a separate major field of knowledge that has lot of sub branches and applications。- It is a real nightmare to remember all of that and keep them in mind till the exam moment。- Unless I had to attend the exam， I will never ever thajbk to read it。

The information is valuable， but the presentation is extremely repetitive because of how the inputs， tools & techniques， and outputs are detailed for every knowledge area。 Learning to skim past the repetitive content is essential for gleaning the takeaways。

A good guide that works as a textbook base for project management a lot of useful information and technic that define project management as a scientific method rather than a tacit knowledge that can only be taught through experience。However， these technics and knowledge are surrounded by tons of unuseful nonsense that increased the number of pages to the double。 Also， there is a lot of repetitive statement and information。

Read this for my Fundamentals of Project Management class。 Good book， full of insightful information。 Does get slightly repetitive， but it is more of technical guide than anything else， so I can forgive it for that。 Definitely recommended for anyone who is interested in Project Management as a career or as a new endeavor in their current employment。

A dry book that presented valuable information， that it contains， in the worst possible structure。 I was obliged to read it for the usage in my work。 Some others I know are reading it for the certification。 If you want to just get the basics of project management only look for other books not that one。

When doing the PMP exam， you HAVE to read the PMBOK， but I strongly recommend using other sources as well！ Thinking that this book alone would bring you through the exam successfully might be a mistake。

This is a reference book。 It is meant to be used as a tool for the PMP exam and nothing more。 I recommend reading the Kim H。 study guide with the Pmbok。 She does a great job of connecting the dots。 Other study guides are the pmbok with a couple of examples。 I only rate it 4 stars because some material that may be on the exam is not in the pmbok。 Nothing to cause concern。
