Summary

As the Covid-19 pandemic continued to escalate far beyond any reasonable expectations, Crisis Zone escalated right alongside, in real time, with daily posts on Instagram。 Crisis Zone's battle mission was to amuse the masses: no matter how horrible and bleak everything seemed, at least Werewolf Jones wasn’t in your house! Over the course of 2020, Crisis Zone has amassed unprecedented amounts of new fans to the Megg and Mogg universe and is presented here, unabridged and uncensored, with a slew of added pages and scenes deleted from the webcomic, as well as an extensive “Director’s Commentary” from Hanselmann himself。

Watch Megg attempt to bury herself in a digital world of escapism! See Mogg fall down the rabbit hole of paranoia and conspiracy theories! Experience Owl's metamorphosis from timid and uptight worrywort to a no-holds-barred, asskicking leader and back again! Witness Werewolf Jones's journey from reluctant erotic performer, to viral TikTok stardom, to Netflix sensation! Bouncing rapidly between comedy, horror, action, and relational soap-operatics, Crisis Zone refuses to take the pedal off the gas as we all hurtle towards unknown destinations。

a truly filthy masterpiece - crisis zone gazes into the gaping anus of 2020 and emerges as a perfect encapsulation of that time。 It now reads as a sort of "greatest hits" of the collective insanity of the beginning of the pandemic year and while this will age it - some of the dialogue of the kids for instance already comes off as slightly corny - this is to its credit。 It truly does capture the exact feeling of living through the event。 The confusion, the media addiction, the ennui, the constant a truly filthy masterpiece - crisis zone gazes into the gaping anus of 2020 and emerges as a perfect encapsulation of that time。 It now reads as a sort of "greatest hits" of the collective insanity of the beginning of the pandemic year and while this will age it - some of the dialogue of the kids for instance already comes off as slightly corny - this is to its credit。 It truly does capture the exact feeling of living through the event。 The confusion, the media addiction, the ennui, the constant idiocy, the new directions in life we all had to take。。。 Fearless and transgressive, Crisis Zone puts its middle finger up to good taste, shoves it right up its anus and laughs madly。 Hanselmann is the people's comic poet。 。。。more

I don’t usually post comics to Goodreads but this was amazing。 Really great when read day to day as he posted it and surprisingly even better when collected。 Takes a bit to kick in but once the “Anus King” sections start it’s on fire

I feel like the person who gave this one star had no idea what they were reading and doesn’t get what it’s about。

A poignant and revolting masterwork。 A perfect encapsulation of a micro-dark age。 Ideally, no other art from the year 2020 will survive and this will be the only historical document available for future scholars。

My introduction to Megg, Mogg, Owl and WWJ, and one of the high points of 2020。 Excess, absurdism, squalor, heinousness, and vulnerability captured with aplomb。 Stoked to binge it in one go。

Couldn't read it。 Got too gross。 Can't believe anyone would find this entertaining。 Couldn't read it。 Got too gross。 Can't believe anyone would find this entertaining。 。。。more

Painfully hilarious。 A rather accurate, though exaggerated, portrayal of the lockdown experience。 I can’t wait for when the Instagram panels are collected with the alleged other panels into a compendium come August (I’ve already pre-ordered my copy!)。 Hanselmann really outdid himself here—superb storytelling and gripping artwork。 Excellent!

Fantastic webcomic。 Can’t wait to read Crisis Zone in print
