What a wonderful graphic novel。 Loved the art, and the story had some pretty interesting twists as well。

A plot based on deception: to make it work Batman has to become the worst detective of all time! He is tricked, confused, deceived and doesn't understand anything of what's happening。 The formula on how different villains appear became predictable very soon, and I feel like it was stretched too much。 Good art though。 A plot based on deception: to make it work Batman has to become the worst detective of all time! I find myself in two minds with respect to this story: on the one hand, Loeb delivers an outstanding thriller which, as usual, doesn't untangle until the very last minute。 He manages to keep the tension throughout the whole book。 However, on the other hand, the story introduces many characters, with little depth。 While this does make it quite fast paced, it makes the story shallower。 I much prefer the approach he takes in The Last Halloween, where he evolves the characters much more。 Other than I find myself in two minds with respect to this story: on the one hand, Loeb delivers an outstanding thriller which, as usual, doesn't untangle until the very last minute。 He manages to keep the tension throughout the whole book。 However, on the other hand, the story introduces many characters, with little depth。 While this does make it quite fast paced, it makes the story shallower。 I much prefer the approach he takes in The Last Halloween, where he evolves the characters much more。 Other than that, a very enjoyable story。 。。。more

Holds up pretty well。 Finished in one sitting。 The only thing I disliked about the Deluxe edition is that the art work on the initial pages sort of spoils the end but it was a great read nevertheless。 Curious about how much of this plot will play out in Matt Reeves' The Batman movie。 At least the trailer confirms the similarity of the plots but I think there might be connections to the Court of Owls storyline too。 Holds up pretty well。 Finished in one sitting。 The only thing I disliked about the Deluxe edition is that the art work on the initial pages sort of spoils the end but it was a great read nevertheless。 Curious about how much of this plot will play out in Matt Reeves' The Batman movie。 At least the trailer confirms the similarity of the plots but I think there might be connections to the Court of Owls storyline too。 。。。more

Jim Lee is one of the best working comic artists and this is his magnum opus。 Engaging storytelling that manages to completely up the stakes with every entry and pit Batman against every big name in his rogues’ gallery without feeling overwhelming or bloated。 A masterpiece。

2。5 stars。 So much going on, most not necessary。 I enjoyed the writing and various scenes with certain characters (the depiction of Harley in this was strong) but it lacked consistency。 Jim Lee's art saved face for the messiness in some of the storyline。 Underwhelming ending。 2。5 stars。 So much going on, most not necessary。 I enjoyed the writing and various scenes with certain characters (the depiction of Harley in this was strong) but it lacked consistency。 Jim Lee's art saved face for the messiness in some of the storyline。 Underwhelming ending。 。。。more

Incredible art and a compelling storylineThis story graphic novel held my attention throughout and I found myself reading a little every day。 The art is excellent, some panels flowing so easily that I blew through them, while others were so incredibly details that I'd spend a few minutes just taking it all in。 Usually when a story involves so many characters it becomes confusing and convoluted but each one of them had their own place in the story, and I found myself smiling after each one popped Incredible art and a compelling storylineThis story graphic novel held my attention throughout and I found myself reading a little every day。 The art is excellent, some panels flowing so easily that I blew through them, while others were so incredibly details that I'd spend a few minutes just taking it all in。 Usually when a story involves so many characters it becomes confusing and convoluted but each one of them had their own place in the story, and I found myself smiling after each one popped up。 I felt the ending was a little off-kilter, which I find with many comics。 They always feel like endings without an end, if that makes any sense。 Overall I see why this is one of the more celebrated Batman stories, and I had a very easy time reading it on my Kindle and phone。 。。。more

Revisiting HUSH always brings me Joy。 I can´t even count with two hands on how many times I have returned to this excellent story and artcraft by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee。 It is for me one of the best starting points if you want to turn somebody into a Batman fan。Maybe it´s not the most practical origin tale story。 But if you know Batman, you know Batman。 And with this story you get a look and meet over half of his classic rogues gallery amongst getting lots of hints of past events that you´ll want Revisiting HUSH always brings me Joy。 I can´t even count with two hands on how many times I have returned to this excellent story and artcraft by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee。 It is for me one of the best starting points if you want to turn somebody into a Batman fan。Maybe it´s not the most practical origin tale story。 But if you know Batman, you know Batman。 And with this story you get a look and meet over half of his classic rogues gallery amongst getting lots of hints of past events that you´ll want to check up on later and discover once you´ve finnished this modern day Classic。 。。。more

Hush is a Batman story that has aged well。 This is what you get when you pair DC's most popular artist with its most popular character, making the most of Lee's idiosyncratic pencils by letting him illustrate almost all of Batman's popular allies and rogues。 The story by Loeb dives deep into Batman lore, except, incidentally for Hush, who is an entirely new character。 Hush is a Batman story that has aged well。 This is what you get when you pair DC's most popular artist with its most popular character, making the most of Lee's idiosyncratic pencils by letting him illustrate almost all of Batman's popular allies and rogues。 The story by Loeb dives deep into Batman lore, except, incidentally for Hush, who is an entirely new character。 。。。more

Great detective story with plenty of action。 I think I enjoyed the Long Halloween story a tiny bit more, but the depth of characters & dialogue in this one was excellent!! Can’t wait to read the sequel。

This was my technically my first Batman comic (If you count The Killing Joke as a Joker comic) and was such a blast read, the story was thrilling and the mystery was page turning。 Jim Lee's art was incredible, this is easily the best format to own the story in。 This was my technically my first Batman comic (If you count The Killing Joke as a Joker comic) and was such a blast read, the story was thrilling and the mystery was page turning。 Jim Lee's art was incredible, this is easily the best format to own the story in。 。。。more

Batman: Hush portrays Batman as the detective he deserves to be。 Batman's investigation into the new, strange behaviors by his rogues gallery is a mystery in the vein of Batman: The Long Halloween 。 This is no coincidence: Jeph Loeb wrote both。 In my opinion, Hush deserves to be seen as one of the best Batman comics, though there are some rushed subplots which knock its rating from a clear five stars to four, though I would have preferred to give it four and a half stars。 Its drawings, by J Batman: Hush portrays Batman as the detective he deserves to be。 Batman's investigation into the new, strange behaviors by his rogues gallery is a mystery in the vein of Batman: The Long Halloween 。 This is no coincidence: Jeph Loeb wrote both。 In my opinion, Hush deserves to be seen as one of the best Batman comics, though there are some rushed subplots which knock its rating from a clear five stars to four, though I would have preferred to give it four and a half stars。 Its drawings, by Jim Lee, Scott Williams and Alex Sinclair, alone count for three of the five stars。 Beautifully drawn, wonderfully written: give it a try。 。。。more

3。5 stars Art: 4。5/5Story: 3/5That turned out to be。。。quite disappointing。 Honestly, the only thing that kept me reading was the art。 And to some extent the Batman-Catwoman storyline - which, again, came to a slightly disappointing end as well。The central "mystery" of the villain tormenting Bats was executed pretty terribly - let's be honest, we all knew who it was from the outset - and the motives of said villain were even more terrible。 3。5 stars Art: 4。5/5Story: 3/5That turned out to be。。。quite disappointing。 Honestly, the only thing that kept me reading was the art。 And to some extent the Batman-Catwoman storyline - which, again, came to a slightly disappointing end as well。The central "mystery" of the villain tormenting Bats was executed pretty terribly - let's be honest, we all knew who it was from the outset - and the motives of said villain were even more terrible。 。。。more
