Summary

Wow， this one was really good！ I feel like we are finally getting into the actual story line， now。 That ending was so sad， too。 I was not expecting any character deaths yet， so it hit me like a brick when one happened。 The way Hiromu framed the pages afterwards really gave me the feels。 Probably my favorite volume so far， but chapter 5 is still my favorite part of it。

OOOOOF。 the page of the elrics talking about col。 hughes and then the flip of a page and the scene changes from joyful to sad。。。。。oooof。 still really enjoying the story though。 picked up 5&6 to keep going。

This was a great volume and like focuses on the brothers after their fight and they are recovering and we get to know a little about the enemies， Winry comes in to fix them and the drama that surrounds it， suspicions arise and then we have the death of a （view spoiler）[Hughes （hide spoiler）] which comes as a major surprise and its gonna have ripple effects for Roy's character for sure。 Meanwhile the villainplots occur and something with Ishbalans is happening and the brothers go to Dublith next This was a great volume and like focuses on the brothers after their fight and they are recovering and we get to know a little about the enemies， Winry comes in to fix them and the drama that surrounds it， suspicions arise and then we have the death of a （view spoiler）[Hughes （hide spoiler）] which comes as a major surprise and its gonna have ripple effects for Roy's character for sure。 Meanwhile the villainplots occur and something with Ishbalans is happening and the brothers go to Dublith next to meet their （view spoiler）[teacher （hide spoiler）]。This volume was good and like focuses so much on interpersonal drama and relationship and getting some obvious questions out of the way and the emotional beats hit hard and I also love the slow unravelling natures of the villains motive and the art while funny in some areas gets really good when called for。 Its one of the best mangas out there for sure and this volume proves why。 。。。more

Este es uno de los tomos más tristes。 Profundizamos un poco más en la hermandad entre los Elric y vemos que los misterios que envuelven la piedra filosofal se vuelve más peligroso。A destacar el balance que hace Arakawa entre los momentos dramáticos sin dejar de lado esas viñetas humorísticas， es un gran plus el cap extra。

I legitimately got teary eyed in the last chapter。 The author did a great job at turning seemingly light and silly humor into serious character work that laid the ground work for some seriously emotional power in the final chapter。 Really great。

In my opinion the best of the series so far， here we have a meaningful character die （and one who was among my favorites）， details about a great conspiracy within the military， and an update on Scar。 This volume seems like the one that could launch the series on a serious direction whereas to this time it has seemed somewhat meandering。
