Honestly this was kinda just a confusing volume。 I found myself lost a lot of the time and not really sure what was going on, I think this probably has to do with the pacing but I just didn’t enjoy reading this。 The art was nice just like volume 1 but there was still some weird things in the story idk

2。5/5Unfortunately this wasn't really any better than the first one。 I continue to like the art and I did like how over the top the ending was, but I don't connect to the romance。 Tamaki's feelings came out of nowhere, and often seemed more like she agreed to the relationship out of convenience。 And Kagetora's desire felt more like obsession than anything。 2。5/5Unfortunately this wasn't really any better than the first one。 I continue to like the art and I did like how over the top the ending was, but I don't connect to the romance。 Tamaki's feelings came out of nowhere, and often seemed more like she agreed to the relationship out of convenience。 And Kagetora's desire felt more like obsession than anything。 。。。more

This was extremely rushed。 It seemed like every single thing was resolved in one panel after the other。 The author really tried to tie up every single loose end, but it all happened so quickly。 It was kind of ridiculous and every single thing was more unbelievable than the next。 Honestly half the problems that got resolved didn't even need to be problems at that point。 But due to the ridiculousness of it all I found it very entertaining。 What a mess。 This was extremely rushed。 It seemed like every single thing was resolved in one panel after the other。 The author really tried to tie up every single loose end, but it all happened so quickly。 It was kind of ridiculous and every single thing was more unbelievable than the next。 Honestly half the problems that got resolved didn't even need to be problems at that point。 But due to the ridiculousness of it all I found it very entertaining。 What a mess。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 so cuteeee! i throughly enjoyed it! he literally fell in love at first glance。 at the end it was so funny when she was fighting the dudes。 i thought it was a prank or something that the dude made。 i wished it was one volume longer though。。。

I wish this story was longer。 It didn’t have enough time to let us even get invested in Tama and Kagetora’s relationship。 I needed more of a build up。 More bonding time。This would’ve been a 4 star story if it were a couple more volumes long。 It felt rushed at the end。 Plus, it barely had the smut Enjoji usually has in her manga! Boohoo!

Ugh。 That was pretty gross。 I didn’t care for either of the main characters。 I liked the brother and the main bodyguard (Mikê??)。 The story was fast because it was a twoshot。 The quality of the story suffered both because of how the author told the story and what the story was about。 I didn’t understand what was happening in quite a few scenes because of the mediocre narration and the poor paneling。 Oh well。 Art was decent。

Since this is a manga series, I don't want to be too harsh on it, hence why I am not taking it too seriously。 But even without that questionable thing that happened, the story itself feels too underdeveloped, because I knew how it is going to end after I read the 1st chapter。 It was too short。 It needed more。 Overall, it wasn't so bad。 Quite enjoyable for what it was。 Since this is a manga series, I don't want to be too harsh on it, hence why I am not taking it too seriously。 But even without that questionable thing that happened, the story itself feels too underdeveloped, because I knew how it is going to end after I read the 1st chapter。 It was too short。 It needed more。 Overall, it wasn't so bad。 Quite enjoyable for what it was。 。。。more

Tamaki has to miss work due to a fever and is overjoyed when Natsu, her secret crush, sticks around to take care of her。 Unfortunately, Kagetora, Tamaki's handsy boss, also shows up。 It isn't long before Tamaki is finally forced to deal with her unrequited feelings for Natsu and whatever seems to be developing between her and Kagetora。。。who is still engaged to another woman。 I had to struggle to work up the willpower to review this。 In some ways it was better than the first volume, but honestly Tamaki has to miss work due to a fever and is overjoyed when Natsu, her secret crush, sticks around to take care of her。 Unfortunately, Kagetora, Tamaki's handsy boss, also shows up。 It isn't long before Tamaki is finally forced to deal with her unrequited feelings for Natsu and whatever seems to be developing between her and Kagetora。。。who is still engaged to another woman。 I had to struggle to work up the willpower to review this。 In some ways it was better than the first volume, but honestly it just dissolved into an unfocused mess。 Although I gradually came to like and root for Tamaki by the end of volume 1, in this volume it seemed like Enjoji forgot what kind of person she was supposed to be。 The young woman who tried to put professional distance between herself and her employer and make him take her seriously as his new bodyguard was gone。 And, once again, Tamaki did things that prompted me to remember that I'd initially dismissed her as an idiot。 When Tamaki's dreams of ending up with Natsu went up in smoke, she dealt with it by spending an evening drinking until she puked and eventually passed out。 She later woke up in bed with Kagetora - she was dressed in pajamas she couldn't remember putting on, and he was shirtless。 She later learned that they hadn't done anything - apparently Tamaki had complained of being cold and Kagetora felt that the best way to warm her up was with his body heat。 After all, they were stuck out in the frozen wilderness and had no other options。 Oh wait, no, they were in his mansion and he could have gotten her an electric blanket or something。 Kagetora came across as slightly less horrible in this volume than in the first one, but that was mainly because Tamaki was more receptive towards him。 Since I already disliked them as a prospective couple after the events of the first volume, I had trouble working up any enthusiasm for the developments in their relationship in this volume。 Tamaki and Kagetora overcame the obstacles standing between them way too easily。 It didn't even work well with the series' internal logic。 Readers were told that Kagetora's uncle, the prime minister, had previously tried to adopt him but that Kagetora's father hadn't allowed it。 Suddenly, for absolutely no reason, Kagetora's father was fine with that arrangement。 All of the pieces in Kagetora's plan fell into place in a matter of days。 Oh, and the whole mystery of how Kagetora and Tamaki first met was a complete letdown。 Was that one brief meeting supposed to be the moment he fell in love with her? Or was it some combination of that and his leg fetish? No wonder she couldn't remember when they'd first met。 And what did any of that have to do with the whole "you're the only one whose touch I can feel and enjoy" thing? (I have a feeling Enjoji got some reader complaints about that, because she specifically addressed it in a note, saying that in real life analgesia is a serious condition and that, although she didn't have time to explain it more in the manga, Kagetora's condition was actually more psychological。 Which left me with lots of questions。) On the plus side, this series was short。 It's too bad it didn't have anything to offer other than relatively decent artwork。Extras: A 2-page "characters and story" section, character profiles (I would not have guessed that Tamaki was 23, her younger brother was 15, and Mike and Kagetora were both 25), and a short bonus comic showing how Master Daitokuji and his wife first met。(Original review posted on A Library Girl's Familiar Diversions。) 。。。more

Liked this one a lot。 I like that it was short, but I wish it had one more volume to flush out some of the parts that felt a little rushed。 But all in all good!

2020 Read #30Meh。 This was just a mediocre series with no real emotion or comedic verve。 Even the “past history” between Tama and Tora was weak, not adding up to enough reason for Tora to hold Tama in his heart all those years。 There are better josei manga out there, like Princess Jellyfish or Tokyo Tarareba Girls — series that actually manage to be fun, comedic, and a tad romantic。 Give this series a pass。

Carrie (The Butterfly Reader)

One Line Review: A beautifully drawn cute romantic comedy that will bring a smile to your face。

♡♡♡I honestly love the two books。 Maki Enjoji did such an amazing job with this! The only thing I wish is that it would have been a longer series (like hapi mari) it definitely had the potential to be a longer series but like Enjoji-San explained it was hard for her cause she was pregnant and having a new born was difficult to handle。Regardless these two books are definitely one of my absolute favourites! I love them!! ♡♡♡

Predictable plot but still a quick and enjoyable read nonetheless。 Although I do wish Tora had more of a backbone instead of being Tamaki's yes man。 Predictable plot but still a quick and enjoyable read nonetheless。 Although I do wish Tora had more of a backbone instead of being Tamaki's yes man。 。。。more

Very cute and sweet。 A couple of risqué panels at the end。I just didn't get why Torah did what he did。 Why couldn't he just be who he was anyway, but maybe I missed the point。I liked it。 Very cute and sweet。 A couple of risqué panels at the end。I just didn't get why Torah did what he did。 Why couldn't he just be who he was anyway, but maybe I missed the point。I liked it。 。。。more

I'm not sure what happened here。 It was like there was potential, but then a rush just to end it。 I know there was a break for the author in Japan, but did she just decide to end it? Meh, I can't really recommend this。 I'm not sure what happened here。 It was like there was potential, but then a rush just to end it。 I know there was a break for the author in Japan, but did she just decide to end it?
