3 stars ⭐It was a pretty predictable end to the series。 I liked it fine。 It took me 12 days to read this though 😰 but that could be because I got distracted by the blood and ash series！！ This review is going to be basically for the series as a whole。 Things I didn't like about the seriesFirst of all， I think my expectations for the series were high so I was dissapointed when I read it。 It wasn't bad， it just wasn't something that I think I would rereadSecond， I think that it's just not my taste 3 stars ⭐It was a pretty predictable end to the series。 I liked it fine。 It took me 12 days to read this though 😰 but that could be because I got distracted by the blood and ash series！！ This review is going to be basically for the series as a whole。 Things I didn't like about the seriesFirst of all， I think my expectations for the series were high so I was dissapointed when I read it。 It wasn't bad， it just wasn't something that I think I would rereadSecond， I think that it's just not my taste。 The plot was really slow the whole series for me。 I've seen people say that it was fast-paced which confused me， but I think it's a personal taste thing， the plot just didn't hold my interest that much。 I think it's not quite an own worthy series， but it's too late for that now 😐Third， the characters weren't like amazing。 They were alright but I didn't really relate to them and I felt detached。 Lia， the MC is like brave and courageous and wise and everything， just felt distanced from the characters for some reason？？ I don't know why， maybe because I was reading other books while reading this one。Fourth， the romance（s） just didn't do it for me。 I didn't really get Rafe and Lia's romance。 It was just there？？ I don't know but i just didn't ~vibe~ with it。 Also， I think I've finally accepted that I just don't like Rafe。 He's just not my type and I just don't really like his personality。 Honestly out of the main 3， Kaden was my favourite。 Although， I wish his romance with Pauline （which I ship） was a bit longer。 I don't loooove him but I do like him the most from everyone。 Also， his looks reminded me of Maxon Schreave sooo yeah。 😊 #unpopularopinion🙄Fifth and final， the writing just wasn't my style。 I guess it's beautiful but it was just too flourishy and mystical for me。 Don't get me wrong， I love dramatic， descriptive writing！！ But， this writing just put me off。 It was like the writing was trying to be too wise for its words？？ Does that even make sense。 I don't know but I just didn't mesh well with this writing。 Also， I didn't really see the point of the excerpts from Gaudrel， Morrighan and Venda throughout the book。 It was pretty useless， honestly。It probably seems like five things is a lot and it doesn't seem like the series deserves 3 stars， but I was nitpicking and going in depth for each thing I didn't like。 But I did still like the book enough to give it 3 stars。Things I liked about the seriesFirst， I liked Kaden。 I think he was a great multi-faceted character， not to mention very attractive。 After all， how can the infamous Assassin NOT be attractive？Second， even though it was wayyyy too rushed in my opinion， Kaden and Pauline are the best romance in the Remnant chronicles。 They actually had attraction， unlike Lia and Rafe。 🙄Third， I liked Rafe's crew， Jeb and Tavish and the gang were funny and nice。 Also I have to say Lia， the main character， for a while I was contemplating a Komizar X Lia romance， it's a bit far-fetched but I can see it！ All in all， nice， adequate fantasy series。 I can see a lot of people enjoying it and others hating it。 I'm kind of in the middle， leaning to good for this one。 However， I am excited for the spin off duology Dance of Thieves because I've heard great things about it。 Apparantly it's way better than Remnant Chronicles and the enemies to lovers romance is super good！ 。。。more

The best plotline in this book was Pauline spending almost all of her screen time not knowing what to name her baby but then she decided to name him after the High Lord of the Night Court。Everything else was just not as interesting。 This series was suppose to be about a runaway princess but that was not what we got :/

Just as good as the first 2 books and was a great ending to the series！ Loved it！ The battle scenes were amazing and loved how well they were described。。。 it made it easier to feel like I was there！ This was a wonderful book and I have enjoyed reading Mary’s books， they were all incredible！

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 This book had me very worried and stressed out。 Never have I ever been so infuriated with characters and their decisions and it seems like they weren’t getting better。 I didn’t foresee how it would work out and how the happy/romantic ending would come to pass with all the challenges and stubborn characters but it worked out and I was satisfied。 I LIVEEEE for the tension and arguments in this series though， it’s so juicy。 Overall this was the best of the trilogy！！

Fantastic end to the trilogy。 I loved the twist and turns both with the relationships in the book as well as the political plotting， never really knowing who is out the help themselves， who is lying， and who is on the side of our hero。 It left me guessing and clear up to end I could have seen the love triangle going either way， and I loved the mystery about it and the constant wondering。 Fantastic end to a fantastic series。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 It’s so hard to say good bye。 I don’t want to leave Lia， Rafe and Kaden yet。 This book was a whole journey and I’m amazed about how many things were able to fit in just one book。 Unlike the second book， this one has a solid start and keeps the rhythm all to the end。 The only thing that keeps me from giving a higher rate is how some things （Kaden + Pauline） developed so fast。 I did saw it coming， and I’m glad they happened but we deserved a couple of pages more of them。 And the ending， it was goo It’s so hard to say good bye。 I don’t want to leave Lia， Rafe and Kaden yet。 This book was a whole journey and I’m amazed about how many things were able to fit in just one book。 Unlike the second book， this one has a solid start and keeps the rhythm all to the end。 The only thing that keeps me from giving a higher rate is how some things （Kaden + Pauline） developed so fast。 I did saw it coming， and I’m glad they happened but we deserved a couple of pages more of them。 And the ending， it was good and I’m satisfied but still it’s a little bit open ending and I hate with all my soul open endings。 On the positive side， i think it is the first time in my life that in a love triangle， the main character ends up for the guy I have been rooting since the beginning。 I can’t believe this， this is historic。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I have to admit， this book was pretty good。 I had genuine trouble putting the book down between the days and managed to complete it in just 3 days。 Pretty impressive considering the rough start I had with this series。 I found it preposterous that the whole kingdom and army had to listen to a 17 year old girl with a sight， not many believed in。 I also found it incredibly weird that I reached page 600 of my 684 page book and they were still preparing for the battle against the Komizar。 It made the I have to admit， this book was pretty good。 I had genuine trouble putting the book down between the days and managed to complete it in just 3 days。 Pretty impressive considering the rough start I had with this series。 I found it preposterous that the whole kingdom and army had to listen to a 17 year old girl with a sight， not many believed in。 I also found it incredibly weird that I reached page 600 of my 684 page book and they were still preparing for the battle against the Komizar。 It made the ending super rushed for me， especially since the whole series was building up to this battle and it started and ended in just 50 pages。 It was super odd too that the war just ended because she spoke to them and somehow， a large majority of the people fell for it and laid down their weapons。 I mean there definitely has to be some that didn’t care for what she was saying and they had to have continued fighting right？ Wished we got some sort of resolution as to the missing traitors post the war too。 Also， they kept mentioning how the cabinet and people in power did not believe in them losing the war because of Morrighan being the chosen remnant but again， they didn’t explain what that meant。 Ok but， if I were to close both my eyes and ignore all those shortcomings， the story overall was quite well developed in this book。 I liked how both Rafe and Lia were given the chance to split up and settle down in their roles as monarchs of their respective kingdoms before they actually got back together。 Jeb’s death did get to me。 Kaden and Pauline’s slow development to a romance was super cute。 Definitely one of my cuter couples。 。。。more
