Review: Beauty and The Beast By: Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve5/5 ⭐️🥀“Presented to her view the most beautiful spectacle she had ever seen， nor help saying to her father that the preparations for her death were more brilliant than the bridal pomp of the greatest king in the world。”Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve🥀I absolutely adored this story。 Beauty and The Beast is my favorite fairytale， but I’ve never read the original version。 I read adaptations all the time and of course the Review: Beauty and The Beast By: Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve5/5 ⭐️🥀“Presented to her view the most beautiful spectacle she had ever seen， nor help saying to her father that the preparations for her death were more brilliant than the bridal pomp of the greatest king in the world。”Gabrielle-Suzanne Barbot de Villeneuve🥀I absolutely adored this story。 Beauty and The Beast is my favorite fairytale， but I’ve never read the original version。 I read adaptations all the time and of course the Disney movies are simply amazing！ This story is NOTHING like the Disney adaptation。 It’s brutal and full of gut wrenching scenes that make me wonder， what on earth was going on in children’s books back in 1740s。 There is gruesome murder， where people are torn apart limb by limb。 We have fairies who snatch dead infants and replace them with Changlings。 An old hag trying to marry her god son， whom is just a child and let’s not forget the fact that the suicide rate is astronomically high。 Someone wants to off themself every other page！ With all that said， this was still brilliant and extremely imaginative。 I loved every second of it and I urge you to read the original published work if you’re a fan of this fairytale。 It really brings into perspective all the adaptations I’ve read。 I can see now they pulled the story from the original and not the Disney adaptation， like I always thought they did。 Ohhh and heads up， there aren’t any cute talking furniture or falling rose petals。 。。。more

This is a classic fairy tale that， like most， is actually deeper and darker than the Disney versions。 This deals in metaphors that stand for how many of us deal with romantic relationships and our own inner feelings。 This edition is the MinaLima designed edition that is loaded with great illustrations and graphic design work， including interactive illustrations， which make it a feast for the eyes。 Recommended。

Es la primera vez que leo la historia original de la Bella y la Bestia， y la verdad es que me ha sorprendido bastante todas las diferencias que hay entre la película de Disney， y la novela original de Gabrielle-Suzanne。 En general me ha gustado bastante， han habido partes que me han costado un poco por el idioma （sobre todo cuando usan un lenguaje más coloquial）， pero así mejoro un poco el inglés que eso nunca viene mal。 Esta edición de la editorial Minalima es simplemente fabulosa， me encanta！！ Es la primera vez que leo la historia original de la Bella y la Bestia， y la verdad es que me ha sorprendido bastante todas las diferencias que hay entre la película de Disney， y la novela original de Gabrielle-Suzanne。 En general me ha gustado bastante， han habido partes que me han costado un poco por el idioma （sobre todo cuando usan un lenguaje más coloquial）， pero así mejoro un poco el inglés que eso nunca viene mal。 Esta edición de la editorial Minalima es simplemente fabulosa， me encanta！！ Creo que todos los libros que crean esta colección son preciosos， por lo que este no será el último que lea :） 。。。more

Wunderschön aufgemacht und sein Geld total wert: Auf jeder Seite gibt es unten kleine farbige Illustrationen und alle paar Seiten entweder weitere sehr schön kolorierte Illustrationen oder kleine Gimmicks/Basteleien zum Rumspielen。 Alles natürlich passend zur Geschichte， fand ich sehr unterhaltsam und schön！Die Geschichte ist ja aus dem Disneyfilm grob bekannt， obwohl im Original vieles ganz anders ist als im Film:Es geht um eine Kaufmannstochter， gütig und selbstlos， die die jüngste von sechs a Wunderschön aufgemacht und sein Geld total wert: Auf jeder Seite gibt es unten kleine farbige Illustrationen und alle paar Seiten entweder weitere sehr schön kolorierte Illustrationen oder kleine Gimmicks/Basteleien zum Rumspielen。 Alles natürlich passend zur Geschichte， fand ich sehr unterhaltsam und schön！Die Geschichte ist ja aus dem Disneyfilm grob bekannt， obwohl im Original vieles ganz anders ist als im Film:Es geht um eine Kaufmannstochter， gütig und selbstlos， die die jüngste von sechs ansonsten missgünstigen und raffgierigen Schwestern ist。 Dafür ist sie der Liebling ihrer Brüder und ihres Vaters， der unverschuldet in finanzielle Not gerät。Auf dem Rückweg einer Geschäftsreise kommt der Vater in einen schlimmen Schneesturm und findet Unterschlupf in einem verborgenen， herrschaftlichen Anwesen。 Als er dort jedoch eine Rose für seine geliebte jüngste Tochter， die von allen nur die Schöne genannt wird， mitnehmen will， wird er von einem Biest überrascht， das ihn so sehr einschüchtert， dass er seine Tochter herbringt。Die gruselt sich zunächst vor dem Biest， wandert den ganzen Tag im Schloss herum， bewundert die verzauberten Zerstreuungen （u。a。 Theater spielende Papageien und Diener-Affen）， und träumt jede Nacht lebhaft von einem hübschen Jüngling - ohne zu schnallen， dass dies das Biest in seiner wahren Gestalt ist。 Schlussendlich sorgt das große， selbstlose Herz der Schönen dafür， dass der Fluch aufgehoben wird， der den Jünglich zum Biest gemacht hatte。Es gibt hier keinen Pöbel vom Dorf und auch keine verzauberte Rose， die eine Dringlichkeit erschafft。Dafür eine gute Fee， die für SEHR viel Hintergrundgeschichte sorgt。 Tatsächlich fand ich alles perfekt bis in etwa Seite 150， dann wurde die Vorgeschichte von etlichen Verwandten/Vorfahren des Biests und der Schönen geschildert und ich bin total ausgestiegen。 Das war mir tatsächlich zu viel， zu wirr und kompliziert。 Und ein bisschen Zauber darf meinetwegen in einem Märchen gerne unaufgeklärt bleiben。Solide 4 Sterne für dieses Märchen einer weiblichen Schriftstellerin aus dem 18。 Jahrhundert！ 。。。more
