Just as adorable as the last one。 Loved the cameos of the humans from the previous book。 I hope there are more stories to come in this series。

This is an absolutely delightful graphic novel about three squirrels that set off to rescue their grandfather。 Gramps is accidentally knocked into a truck going to Crunchy Acres Apple Farm where they also make apple pies。 The squirrels are adorable, their adventures are hilarious, and the reader is left wanting more。

Book two of the Norma and Belly series with a continuation of delightful squirrels。 Gramps accidentally ends up in an apple truck and the others must go rescue him。 With light, water color graphics, the squirrels work together and all get a chance to finish the book Gramps was reading。 Short chapters with little dialogue, a great graphic novel to help younger kids develop their literary skills。

Thanks to NetGalley and Random House Graphic for sharing the ARC of this book with me!Pops and his grandsquirrel are visiting the local Farmer's Market。 They stop to sample some apples when - Oh no! Pops is accidentally loaded into a truck full of apples! He's always wanted to visit the country but not via the apple processing factory at the local orchard。 Fortunately, Norma, Belly and their friends are all on the case to rescue Pops before there is a pie-tastrophe。 This is a delightful intro to Thanks to NetGalley and Random House Graphic for sharing the ARC of this book with me!Pops and his grandsquirrel are visiting the local Farmer's Market。 They stop to sample some apples when - Oh no! I received an eARC courtesy of Random House Graphic via NetGalley in exchange for my honest review。Chaos ensues as Gramps accidentally ends up on a truck that is farm-bound, but there are no worries with Norma & Belly on the case。 Some familiar faces make this story as silly and enjoyable as the first one。For Libraries: Fans of the first Norma & Belly are going to love following along during their next silly adventure。

This is the second in an intended series of early graphic stories starring two squirrels siblings, their friend Little Bee, and other cast members。 In this case, Gramps has been enticed into a situation involving a truck full of apples that are headed to a pie factory。 When Norma and Belly realize he is missing, each successive graphic chapter proceeds with enough tension and hilarity to insure page-turning passion。 The minimalist, delightfully simple art allows full focus on expressive small de This is the second in an intended series of early graphic stories starring two squirrels siblings, their friend Little Bee, and other cast members。 In this case, Gramps has been enticed into a situation involving a truck full of apples that are headed to a pie factory。 When Norma and Belly realize he is missing, each successive graphic chapter proceeds with enough tension and hilarity to insure page-turning passion。 The minimalist, delightfully simple art allows full focus on expressive small details and laughable connection with the heart and intentions of this rescue trio。 Following the original title, DONUT FEED THE SQUIRRELS, this needed to meet a high bar of humor and storytelling, and it cleared it with ease。Great fun! Kids will be pestering to know when the next tile is coming。 。。。more

Norma and Belly are back for an another adventure。 This time, they need to save Grandpa from the apple farm。 This book is good for PK-1 children who like animal stories and adventure stories with a bit of silliness。

I loved this book it is just what I don't have enough of in the library and easy chapter book that kids will find funny and engaging。 I am going to be adding it to the library as soon as it comes out。 This book is hilarious and I loved the story line。 The illustrations were great as well。 I loved this book it is just what I don't have enough of in the library and easy chapter book that kids will find funny and engaging。 I am going to be adding it to the library as soon as it comes out。 This book is hilarious and I loved the story line。 The illustrations were great as well。 。。。more

In this sequel to Donut Feed the Squirrels, the intrepid squirrel friends find themselves on a rescue mission after Gramps accidentally hitches a ride on an apple truck。 Hilarity ensues when the four squirrels find themselves in an apple processing plant。。。will they end up baked a pie or will they ever find their way back home??I loved the reappearance of the favorite human characters from the first one, as well as the uniqueness of this new story, but a few times there were gaps in the timeline In this sequel to Donut Feed the Squirrels, the intrepid squirrel friends find themselves on a rescue mission after Gramps accidentally hitches a ride on an apple truck。 Hilarity ensues when the four squirrels find themselves in an apple processing plant。。。will they end up baked a pie or will they ever find their way back home??I loved the reappearance of the favorite human characters from the first one, as well as the uniqueness of this new story, but a few times there were gaps in the timeline that made me feel like I’d missed a panel or two, and when the most action was taking place it was hard to understand which squirrel was which (and where!)。 Overall though very enjoyable! 。。。more

Last time round our squirrel heroes were stealing from the donut van that visited their park。 This time round, they have to undertake a dare-devil rescue, as someone they know gets sucked up into an apple pie factory。 This is something of a mind to give us Wallace and Gromit-styled action as the conveyor belts, processors and what-nots of the plant try to do their mechanical worst with the heroes, but the ending is pretty much a cop-out。 Once again the artwork is really rough and ready – I forge Last time round our squirrel heroes were stealing from the donut van that visited their park。 This time round, they have to undertake a dare-devil rescue, as someone they know gets sucked up into an apple pie factory。 This is something of a mind to give us Wallace and Gromit-styled action as the conveyor belts, processors and what-nots of the plant try to do their mechanical worst with the heroes, but the ending is pretty much a cop-out。 Once again the artwork is really rough and ready – I forget which character surprised me last time out by being a female, and it's still impossible to guess here too。 Worth a look? Yes。 Worth a purchase? That gets a 'hmmm。。。' from me。 。。。more

ARC for fair reviewThis is a very cute early graphic novel that would be great for kindergarten age readers who want to read comics with the big kids! Very fast-paced story, cute illustrations。

This is such a cute, fun easy graphic novel。 If you haven't read the first book in the series, Donut Feed the Squirrels, you'll still enjoy this book but I do recommend reading that as well because it's really good。 This book has fun, simple art that is appealing with lots of white space。 The text is simple and well-written。 Really fun read! Read more graphic novel reviews at The Graphic Library。This is another adventure of the lovable squirrels, Norma and Belly from Donut Feed the Squirrels。 In it, the squirrels are enjoying some apple pie when Gramps falls into an Apple Truck and gets carted off。 He thinks he's going to a picturesque farm where he'll be able to live out his life in peace, unlike the hustle and bustle of the city life。 Turns out, the farm is really a factory for making apple pies, and Gramps is in danger! Norma and Belly mount a rescue mission to save Gramps from becoming someone's dessert。This story is a cute follow up to the first book in the series。 The characters are introduced in the first book, and this one assumes you’ve read it and know who they are already, so there isn't much time spent on who they all are。 This graphic novel is a hybrid in between a picture book and a chapter book, which is a relatively new place in publishing。 It reads like a picture book but with panels and gutters, yet the book is much longer than 32 pages。 This series is a great in-between for readers who a ready for something a little longer than a normal picture book。The art is really cute and ephemeral in the way water colors can be。 The squirrels and other wildlife are drawn interestingly and very different than other stories with animal characters。Sara's Rating: 8/10Suitability Level: Grades Kindergarten - 3rd 。。。more
