I have been eagerly waiting for this book to arrive for weeks! And it was well worth the read。 Andrea Hannemann shares some great insight into why she changed her nutrition and the effect it has had。 The recipes are easy to recreate, even when you live in Germany and not in sunny Hawaii, and they are all down to Earth。 The only small issue I have with the book is that I wish there were more main dish recipes。 Other than that, I cannot recommend this book enough! I have already cooked some recipe I have been eagerly waiting for this book to arrive for weeks! I was given this book as a Christmas present from a friend who worships all those Instagram people。 I feel bad she wasted her money because there isn’t anything in this book that is worth the read。 It’s uninspired, there is nothing exciting and I’ve seen it all before。 The author comes across as try-hard and annoying。 It’s just a no for me。

A beautiful book that clearly defines the difference between based and vegan life styles。 Andy Hannemann, author of “Plant Over Processed” is a well known health & wellness influencer and is also “Earthy Andy” of the hugely successful Instagram blog。 Andy’s approach to food and that gut health is the key to all health was born out of serious medical issues that restricted her life and negatively impacted her family。 After the medical community gave her years of unsatisfactory results, Andy took A beautiful book that clearly defines the difference between based and vegan life styles。 Andy Hannemann, author of “Plant Over Processed” is a well known health & wellness influencer and is also “Earthy Andy” of the hugely successful Instagram blog。 Andy’s approach to food and that gut health is the key to all health was born out of serious medical issues that restricted her life and negatively impacted her family。 After the medical community gave her years of unsatisfactory results, Andy took matters into her own hands and “intuition” and the “Plant Over Processed” program was begun。 Important to note, she did and does continue to maintain appropriate medical care。 The book begins with a short bio about Andy, her health issues and the beginnings of plant based eating。 She moves on to a chapter about THE POWER OF PLANTS - detailing the science of plants。 It’s also here Andy shares the difference between Vegan Lifestyle & Plant Based Lifestyle, it’s very interesting。 Chapter 2 is: 30 DAY PLANT OVER PROCESSED CHALLENGE - all the rules and details of the challenge are spelled out。 Chapter 3 is: EATING THE RAINBOW - this entire lengthy chapter is all of Andy’s recipes。 They are laid out simply and are easy to follow。 The ingredients are easy to source in most places, I think, and not overly expensive。 There are ways to substitute ingredients for both taste and availability。 For example, I dislike bananas - a smoothie staple! But, mangoes or peaches make good substitutes and she mentions both of them! There are great pictures to go with almost every recipe so you can see what you’re supposed to end up with。 The only information provided with the recipes, (besides ingredients and directions), is yield/servings。 There’s no nutritional breakdown and it’s for this reason that I’ve rated the book 4/5 ⭐️ IMO, a health based book should include basic nutritional information。 All of the recipes are grouped by category into sub-chapters from smoothies thru desserts。 Also included are salads, soups, sauces, snacks, curries, lunches, dinners, breakfasts, hot drinks, and more。 The smoothies and desserts look particularly good as do a few of the soups。 I’m looking forward to trying a few of them very soon!Chapter 4, A WHOLE NEW WAY OF LIVING - is a brief look at how this way of eating is better for the earth, how it effects the carbon footprint, ways to reduce yours on a daily basis and other similar hot topics。 Andy adds a few closing remarks and the book ends with an index that is NOT interactive in the Kindle edition。 Professionally photographed, edited and published, “Plant Over Processed” is easy to read and look at, moderate to difficult to institute fully but a 30 day investment at some level would be an huge benefit for most of us📚 。。。more
