I guess i will never know why he wanted that to happen。 This was a very good and informational book。 。。。more

America has won in the space race。 Through the hard work of the Apollo 11 Astronauts and everyone helping them, we have been to the moon and back to earth successfully。 Discover what it takes to become an astronaut and how we completed this successful mission by reading Moonwalk: The First Trip to the Moon。Reading this book actually taught me a lot that I didn't know。 I didn't know beforehand that only two men actually walked on the moon。 I'm sure I've heard that before and just forgot but it sh America has won in the space race。 Through the hard work of the Apollo 11 Astronauts and everyone helping them, we have been to the moon and back to earth successfully。 Discover what it takes to become an astronaut and how we completed this successful mission by reading Moonwalk: The First Trip to the Moon。Reading this book actually taught me a lot that I didn't know。 I didn't know beforehand that only two men actually walked on the moon。 I'm sure I've heard that before and just forgot but it shocked me。 When I think about the Apollo 11 trip I think of how everyone says the team of three landed on the moon and I guess I've always assumed the three walked together and the spaceship stayed where it needed to。 It was also interesting to find out that they once thought craters were oceans on the moon。 Some information we take for granted because it was always a known fact to us。 I have grown up knowing facts about the moon without even thinking about how amazing it must have been to discover completely new information about something unknown。 Finally, I thought it was interesting to find out that everyone was afraid of the astronauts when they got back to earth。 Everyone thought that they might have germs from space and didn't want to be contaminated。 No one could touch them until they believed they weren't contaminated and dangerous。 After reading the book the class could study spaceships, the shape of them and how they are made。 The class could practice making spaceships from crafts。 It could teach them how hard it is to build rockets and how hard the engineers worked to create it。 Great things take a long and a lot of work。 。。。more

I liked the book because it showed me information about the moon and the astronauts who went to the moon。 One thing the author did well was the information and details。 My favorite part was the astronauts who went to the moon。 My favorite character was Neil Armstrong because he probably recorded any moonquakes。 I would recommend this book because it helps people learn what the astronauts do on the moon。

I enjoyed this book a lot。 When I was little I remember wanting to become an astronaut。 I read biographies and books about different astronauts of the time。 Reading this book about the historic Apollo 11 mission was interesting。 I learned lot of new facts about how astronauts are chosen and trained for a mission。 If you have ever thought about becoming an astronaut, this is a book for you。

This one was a little too long for the 3 1/2 year old I was reading it to so I skipped over quite a lot of the information to keep his interest。 We will have to revisit it later。 It's meant for a second to 4th grade student that is ready for chapters and longer paragraphs。 This one was a little too long for the 3 1/2 year old I was reading it to so I skipped over quite a lot of the information to keep his interest。 We will have to revisit it later。 It's meant for a second to 4th grade student that is ready for chapters and longer paragraphs。 。。。more

Mankind would never be the same after Apollo II’s historic flight。 This nonfiction book combines photographs with illustrations to take the young reader from lift-off to splashdown。 There is plenty of history about how a flight to the moon came about, how the astronauts were chosen and trained and how this amazing event has affected human beings in general。
