America has won in the space race。 Through the hard work of the Apollo 11 Astronauts and everyone helping them， we have been to the moon and back to earth successfully。 Discover what it takes to become an astronaut and how we completed this successful mission by reading Moonwalk: The First Trip to the Moon。Reading this book actually taught me a lot that I didn't know。 I didn't know beforehand that only two men actually walked on the moon。 I'm sure I've heard that before and just forgot but it sh America has won in the space race。 Through the hard work of the Apollo 11 Astronauts and everyone helping them， we have been to the moon and back to earth successfully。 Discover what it takes to become an astronaut and how we completed this successful mission by reading Moonwalk: The First Trip to the Moon。Reading this book actually taught me a lot that I didn't know。 I didn't know beforehand that only two men actually walked on the moon。 I'm sure I've heard that before and just forgot but it shocked me。 When I think about the Apollo 11 trip I think of how everyone says the team of three landed on the moon and I guess I've always assumed the three walked together and the spaceship stayed where it needed to。 It was also interesting to find out that they once thought craters were oceans on the moon。 Some information we take for granted because it was always a known fact to us。 I have grown up knowing facts about the moon without even thinking about how amazing it must have been to discover completely new information about something unknown。 Finally， I thought it was interesting to find out that everyone was afraid of the astronauts when they got back to earth。 Everyone thought that they might have germs from space and didn't want to be contaminated。 No one could touch them until they believed they weren't contaminated and dangerous。 After reading the book the class could study spaceships， the shape of them and how they are made。 The class could practice making spaceships from crafts。 It could teach them how hard it is to build rockets and how hard the engineers worked to create it。 Great things take a long and a lot of work。 。。。more
