A continuation， in tone and story， of the first book。Satou continues to explore the area and defeats another epic foe。If you enjoyed the first， this is more of the same。

Not as interesting as the first volume。I’m loving Pochi， Tama， and Liza。 Arisa and Lulu are interesting new additions to the team and lots of world building is happening。My biggest problem with this volume is the romance antics。 Arisa is so horny for Satou， and for the first 60 pages Satou keeps reminding us that he isn’t a pedophile。 It’s so annoying。 I understand the age thing has to be addressed， but does it need to be addressed every other page？ And my god， Satou’s obsession with big breasts Not as interesting as the first volume。I’m loving Pochi， Tama， and Liza。 Arisa and Lulu are interesting new additions to the team and lots of world building is happening。My biggest problem with this volume is the romance antics。 Arisa is so horny for Satou， and for the first 60 pages Satou keeps reminding us that he isn’t a pedophile。 It’s so annoying。 I understand the age thing has to be addressed， but does it need to be addressed every other page？ And my god， Satou’s obsession with big breasts near the end was insufferable。 Then there’s the Dryad who is super old but looks like a 6 year old that French kisses him。 Face palm。 I have no idea what the author is thinking。 Maybe this is supposed to be comedic relief？ I just don’t know。 The tone is everywhere when it comes to these bits in the story。When it actually has a plot it’s kinda interesting， but the amount of times that age and ogling boobs is addressed made me think twice about picking up the next volume。 。。。more

Background:This Isekai， Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody， is one of the best I have read so far。 It starts off with the protagonist， Satou who is a programmer at a gaming company falling asleep under his bench at work after working himself to fatigue and then he finds himself in a fantasy world similar to the game he was working on， and he soon realises he is not dreaming but really there。 He soon is in a harem situation， starting with 3 slave girls he rescued。In this， the second book Background:This Isekai， Death March to the Parallel World Rhapsody， is one of the best I have read so far。 It starts off with the protagonist， Satou who is a programmer at a gaming company falling asleep under his bench at work after working himself to fatigue and then he finds himself in a fantasy world similar to the game he was working on， and he soon realises he is not dreaming but really there。 He soon is in a harem situation， starting with 3 slave girls he rescued。In this， the second book 3 new ladies join the harem。 Don't worry the book is tastefully written and Satou is a gentleman。 。。。more

This is the second volume of this series， and I enjoyed it enough to actually borrow the rest of the series from the library。 In it， Satou discovers Arisa's background and some of her magic abilities。 Then he ends up sucked into a fight in the Cradle， an elven training environment。 Suddenly he's having to fight his way through to the end in a very uncertain situation。There's a lot of fascinating worldbuilding here， especially the strong hints that something *very strange* is going on with the pe This is the second volume of this series， and I enjoyed it enough to actually borrow the rest of the series from the library。 In it， Satou discovers Arisa's background and some of her magic abilities。 Then he ends up sucked into a fight in the Cradle， an elven training environment。 Suddenly he's having to fight his way through to the end in a very uncertain situation。There's a lot of fascinating worldbuilding here， especially the strong hints that something *very strange* is going on with the people being pulled in from Earth， and how trying to introduce Earth technologies， even as simple as crop rotation and fertilization， have disastrous results that can lay an entire kingdom to waste。I'm hoping that future books will make these peculiarities clearer。 。。。more

Book 2 was much more disappointing than book 1。 First half was rather interesting， introducing more aspects of the world。 The second half was quite boring。The RPG element of these light novels is quite entertaining， but the way all the authors insist on building a harem for the main character annoys me。

Really it took me 2 days to read as I wanted to read every word in it and had to go on a day trip on the 20th。 It is a good book to be the middle and end of a story。 The character introductions for the majority of characters are already done so just character building， world building and of course plot progression was done in this one。Looking forward to how volume 3 is written now。

Satou has broken free of the demon's labyrinth， rescuing Pochi， Tama， and Liza。 And after liberating two more girls from slavery， one of which has a surprising knowledge of Japan， he's on his way in to a new adventure as it's now long before a new character makes an appearance and a rescue mission is launched in to place。 But once the missions complete。。。where's Satou's next destination？Okay， so I fiddled with the synopsis a bit to give you a smidge more information without spoiling the volume！ Satou has broken free of the demon's labyrinth， rescuing Pochi， Tama， and Liza。 And after liberating two more girls from slavery， one of which has a surprising knowledge of Japan， he's on his way in to a new adventure as it's now long before a new character makes an appearance and a rescue mission is launched in to place。 But once the missions complete。。。where's Satou's next destination？Okay， so I fiddled with the synopsis a bit to give you a smidge more information without spoiling the volume！ For a good chunk of this volume we're getting to know the two new members to Satou's group， as well as a couple of other new characters。 We have Arisa and Lulu from the end of the first volume， the former being the one that knows all about Japan！ They're sisters and the newest members of the group！ We have Nadi and her elf boss Yusaratoya， who run the general store！ We also have Mia， another elf， and Nana right towards the end who I'm sure we'll get to know in the next volume！ So we get a few new characters to spice up the plot， which I enjoyed。 It was nice to meet these new characters， and see their interactions with our favourites from the first volume。 It's kept the story fresh and intriguing， I think。 Volume 2 picks up not long after Volume 1 ended， and there's a little flashback to fill in the gap。 Thanks to Arisa we get to learn a lot more about the world， and how it works thanks to her knowledge， which makes it all the more fascinating。 In this volume， Zena is present but she kinda takes a backseat， and Arisa takes to the stage as it where。 There's a tonne more of her， as we get to know her and see her settle in to the group， we get to know Lulu a bit， but I'm hoping to see more of her in the next volume， along with Mia and Nana！ There's lots of action and adventure in this book， to go with the new characters， plus a new part of the world to explore that comes to life from the page。 Sure there are some slow parts as the group's dynamic adjusts and everyone settles in。 But there's some brilliant action sequences。 I feel like I'm enjoying the light novel more than the manga， there's more information and more background on the world， characters and plot。 Theres more detail， and I just find myself reading the light novel and getting lost in the story， whereas with the manga I feel like there's something missing and it's not as engaging。 The characters come to life a lot more too！ The story progresses in this volume， as the ending wraps up this particular arc rather nicely， and our characters set out on a new journey with new characters。 I'm intrigued to see how the story is going to continue！ We've got new characters to get to know， and more of the world to see plus the whole deal with Satou and why he's there and what his purpose is！ 。。。more
