A current fave。 Rowan loves it。 Loves those trucks。 And it’s been fun to see him begin distinguishing between cars, trucks, and jeeps。 Though all are still trucks, they’re just now car trucks, jeep trucks, engine truck (the fire engine, and a train truck。The motorcycle weaving through traffic seems an unsafe thing to illustrate。 But also, a lot of bullet bike bros weave dangerously through traffic, so I guess there’s a life truth to be learned there。 No need to sing this one to the tune of “Baa, A current fave。 Rowan loves it。 Loves those trucks。 And it’s been fun to see him begin distinguishing between cars, trucks, and jeeps。 Though all are still trucks, they’re just now car trucks, jeep trucks, engine truck (the fire engine, and a train truck。The motorcycle weaving through traffic seems an unsafe thing to illustrate。 But also, a lot of bullet bike bros weave dangerously through traffic, so I guess there’s a life truth to be learned there。 No need to sing this one to the tune of “Baa, Baa, Black Sheep” in order for it to be a good time。 。。。more

This book is fun for infants and toddlers as you sing the baa baa black sheep tune as you read the book。 It has lots of "things that go" in the pictures, which most kids seem to really like。 Some of the words are a little forced into the tune though, which makes it a little awkward when singing/reading if you aren't expecting it。 Our child loves this book, and sometimes will have us read it multiple times, but it hasn't risen to a daily favorite in the last 6 months。 This book is fun for infants and toddlers as you sing the baa baa black sheep tune as you read the book。 It has lots of "things that go" in the pictures, which most kids seem to really like。 Some of the words are a little forced into the tune though, which makes it a little awkward when singing/reading if you aren't expecting it。 Our child loves this book, and sometimes will have us read it multiple times, but it hasn't risen to a daily favorite in the last 6 months。 。。。more

Kids who love cars and other things that "go" will get a kick out of this sing-song celebration。 I like this version better than the original (and vaguely creepy) "Baa Baa Black Sheep" rhyme。 Kids who love cars and other things that "go" will get a kick out of this sing-song celebration。 I like this version better than the original (and vaguely creepy) "Baa Baa Black Sheep" rhyme。 。。。more

Very cute, and funny book about vehicles that follows the tune of Baa Baa Black Sheet。 I must've read this 1000 times already to my son。 Now he has it almost memorized。 Very cute, and funny book about vehicles that follows the tune of Baa Baa Black Sheet。 I must've read this 1000 times already to my son。 Now he has it almost memorized。 。。。more

A fun rhyming book, written to match the song Baa Baa, Black Sheep。 Nick Sharratt is a longtime favourite in our house for his colourful illustrations, so this was an easy choice when I spotted it at the library。 My 3yo is enjoying it as a bedtime read and likes tracking the main characters’ blue car through the story, as they see all sorts of different vehicles。 Good to see both women and men represented as drivers of the vehicles too!

Vellanorah

Cute kid book that you can sing but we can sing anything。

Anna Jewkes

I like this version of the song better than the original! Ending with going to sleep is always helpful。

I really love this book。 This book would be great for teachers to read to children and even sing because it is to the tune Baa Baa Black Sheep。 I love that this books shows a variety of ways people get to where they are going。 I also love that the book has the names of the vehicles。 This would be great to teach children about the different vehicles。

There's one or two places where the cadence seems off (maybe regional dialects?) so I can't give this one five stars, but overall it's a blast! There's one or two places where the cadence seems off (maybe regional dialects?) so I can't give this one five stars, but overall it's a blast! 。。。more

Fans of vehicles rejoice! Every vehicle you can think of from cars to helicopters to diggers can be found in this fun board book。 Nick Sharrat’s bright illustrations pair well with text featuring onomatopoeia that can be sung to the tune of “Baa Baa Black Sheep。” A strong choice for board book collections, there is a larger format paperback available that would better for read aloud。

Very sweet little book with catchy new lyrics to a classic song (Baa Baa Black Sheep)。 My youngest loves this one, and it's fun for me to read/sing to him! I like singing books。 My mom is good at singing!

Amanda

A highly recommended rhyming tale for the vehicle loving tots in your life, matched skillfully to the tune of Bah, bah, black sheep (which you can spot riding around in the back of a pickup truck throughout the book)。

Jesse

So much fun! We especially enjoyed making the car sounds stand out from the song in the most obnoxious ways。 :)

Toddler loved this one。 The rhythm is a little awkward at times and it ends on the second line of the song, not the end, which makes it feel incomplete。 Also, the only boat is a hovercraft? Seems oddly specific。 Oh and the train looked full of modern commuters but had a coal car and steam engine? Children’s book authors should know their work will be seriously scrutinized by parents who have to read it hundreds of times。

board book (transportation with diverse faces and female pilot/truckdrivers) a clear winner from a read-aloud perspective (kids love familiar tunes, and kids love cars)。 Expect to enjoy this one again and again at your child's request。Unfortunately, the board book version is a bit small for sharing with my baby/toddler storytime (5。75" x 6。5") but I will probably order the 9。6" x 10。8" paperback version, which will make this PERFECT。The only thing that may jar some readers is the imperfect rhyme board book (transportation with diverse faces and female pilot/truckdrivers) a clear winner from a read-aloud perspective (kids love familiar tunes, and kids love cars)。 Expect to enjoy this one again and again at your child's request。Unfortunately, the board book version is a bit small for sharing with my baby/toddler storytime (5。75" x 6。5") but I will probably order the 9。6" x 10。8" paperback version, which will make this PERFECT。The only thing that may jar some readers is the imperfect rhyme at the beginning, "fuel" and "full"--it was pointed out to me that the book was originally published in England, where the original "petrol" would have rhymed much better。 。。。more

Have currently read/sung this book approx 100 times- it is Ollie's absolute favorite。 We will be in the middle of another book and he will stop me to grab Car Car Truck Jeep off of the shelf。 I think a huge part of the appeal is that he already knew Baa Baa Black Sheep :P Have currently read/sung this book approx 100 times- it is Ollie's absolute favorite。 We will be in the middle of another book and he will stop me to grab Car Car Truck Jeep off of the shelf。 I think a huge part of the appeal is that he already knew Baa Baa Black Sheep :P 。。。more

Sung to the tune of “Baa, Baa, Black Sheep” this board book will quickly become a favorite for any little one who loves vehicles。 The book is filled with all sorts of cars, trucks, boats, and planes。 Each one carries a rhyme with it and creates all sorts of motion on the page。 The illustrations are bright and friendly, inviting the littlest readers to explore their thick lines and bold shapes。 This is one beeping good board book。

A great picture book to read (or even sing) aloud - who doesn't know the tune to "Baa Baa Black Sheep"?Filled with Nick Sharratt's bold, bright and instantly recognisable illustrations, we follow the journey of a car as it fills up with fuel and is driven up and down hills, through traffic, into the countryside and finally back home。A wide variety of vehicles are featured from buses and trains to hovercraft and planes, giving the reader lots to identify and talk about。 There's noises to make, co A great picture book to read (or even sing) aloud - who doesn't know the tune to "Baa Baa Black Sheep"?Filled with Nick Sharratt's bold, bright and instantly recognisable illustrations, we follow the journey of a car as it fills up with fuel and is driven up and down hills, through traffic, into the countryside and finally back home。A wide variety of vehicles are featured from buses and trains to hovercraft and planes, giving the reader lots to identify and talk about。 There's noises to make, colours to identify plus I love the female characters shown in typical male roles such as the garage attendant and digger driver, though my favourite has to be the bus with the "Read Books" sign on the side。 。。。more

This is a great singalong book。 I use it with toddlers in a group setting aged 2。5 to 4 years。 They love the bright pictures and singing along with the familiar tune。
