It was easy to spot the twists。 I liked the storyline of Jo and the other flight attendants but the backstory of the pilot was uninteresting。 Good first shot at a mystery thriller though。 She should consider writing a series on Jo or Big Daddy’s characters。

If you are in the mood for a contemporary thriller, look no further than "Falling" by T。J。 Newman。 When the captain of a commercial airline has to choose between saving his family or crash his flight, per terrorist's demands, Newman set the stage for nonstop literary suspense。 From the moment you board the plane (pun intended), take flight and the wheels do or do not safely touch the ground at its intended destination, you are on the edge of your seat。 As interesting as the scenario is, more so If you are in the mood for a contemporary thriller, look no further than "Falling" by T。J。 Newman。 When the captain of a commercial airline has to choose between saving his family or crash his flight, per terrorist's demands, Newman set the stage for nonstop literary suspense。 From the moment you board the plane (pun intended), take flight and the wheels do or do not safely touch the ground at its intended destination, you are on the edge of your seat。 As interesting as the scenario is, more so are each character, especially the ones on the plane。 For the most part, Newman does a really good job of writing fully-drawn characters, and navigating from each of the four main scenes/locations, and sets of characters。 This is good commercial fare that lives up to the hype and is without a doubt, headed to movie adaptation。 You'll be casting it as you read 。。。 which may or may not be a good thing, but true。I especially recommend listening to this book, as I did, thanks to Libro。FM, over reading it。 Narrator/actor Stephen Weber is excellent 。。。more

High octane action but riddled with cliche characters and characterizations。 Of course it's being made into a movie。 Still, a quick, loopy ride。 High octane action but riddled with cliche characters and characterizations。 Of course it's being made into a movie。 Still, a quick, loopy ride。 。。。more

Not really my cup of tea, but a good book if you’re into thrillers。 Had a very nice happy ending to it which I’m also not the biggest fan of—I like the depressing, realistic books more。 Not my favorite, but if you want something action-packed it’ll definitely do the trick。

I love John J Nance airplane thrillers, so when I saw this book, I was so excited。 And I wasn't disappointed。 There weren't a lot of unexpected twists, but the tension in the story was real, and the ending was excellent。 I love John J Nance airplane thrillers, so when I saw this book, I was so excited。 And I wasn't disappointed。 There weren't a lot of unexpected twists, but the tension in the story was real, and the ending was excellent。 。。。more

I picked this book to read while on vacation at York beach as I knew it would engage me and I would finish it before coming home and I was right! But be forewarned, if you have any air travel in your immediate future hold off on this book until after! It’s a thrill ride but I’d probably freak out if I read this in a plane!

2。75Falling contains loads of action and kept me engaged almost the entire time, but if you're trying to find something like the skeleton of the book or so, there's not really much there。 It's all based on terrorists trying to。。。 I don't even really know what they were trying to achieve, but (minor spoiler ahead) obviously they're foreigners, from the Middle East, hate Americans and are very vengeful, which is kinda questionable, even borderline problematic。 Also, a lot that happened in this boo 2。75Falling contains loads of action and kept me engaged almost the entire time, but if you're trying to find something like the skeleton of the book or so, there's not really much there。 It's all based on terrorists trying to。。。 I don't even really know what they were trying to achieve, but (minor spoiler ahead) obviously they're foreigners, from the Middle East, hate Americans and are very vengeful, which is kinda questionable, even borderline problematic。 Also, a lot that happened in this book didn't seem entirely plausible to me, but that's often my problem with thrillers。 What I really enjoyed though were the scenes in the back of the plane and the relationships between the crew members。 。。。more

I was intrigued by the plot and wanted to read it。 I thought it might be be like “The Martian” or “Gone Girl” which kept me on edge and turning pages ASAP。 This started good but quickly turned flat。 I just wanted to get to the end。 I do see it as movie。 It would have better dialogue and more defined characters which could be really good。 But for the book it didn’t click entirely with me。

Very exciting。 Was rooting for the characters。

I had to go with 4 stars because of the ingenuity of the author- a former flight attendant。 Without that ingenious touch I would have gone with 3 stars because my credulity was pushed to its absolute limit from the 55% point through to the end。 An entertaining and fast read though- I’m sure it will make a great movie。
