Summary

Four-time New York Times bestselling author Gary Vaynerchuk offers new lessons and inspiration drawn from the experiences of dozens of influencers and entrepreneurs who rejected the predictable corporate path in favor of pursuing their dreams by building thriving businesses and extraordinary personal brands。

In his 2009 international bestseller Crush It, Gary insisted that a vibrant personal brand was crucial to entrepreneurial success, In Crushing It!, Gary explains why that’s even more true today, offering his unique perspective on what has changed and what principles remain timeless。 He also shares stories from other entrepreneurs who have grown wealthier—and not just financially—than they ever imagined possible by following Crush It principles。 The secret to their success (and Gary’s) has everything to do with their understanding of the social media platforms, and their willingness to do whatever it took to make these tools work to their utmost potential。 That’s what Crushing It! teaches readers to do。

In this lively, practical, and inspiring book, Gary dissects every current major social media platform so that anyone, from a plumber to a professional ice skater, will know exactly how to amplify his or her personal brand on each。 He offers both theoretical and tactical advice on how to become the biggest thing on old standbys like Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest, and Snapchat; podcast platforms like Spotify, Soundcloud, iHeartRadio, and iTunes; and other emerging platforms such as Musical。ly。 For those with more experience, Crushing It! illuminates some little-known nuances and provides innovative tips and clever tweaks proven to enhance more common tried-and-true strategies。

Crushing It! is a state-of-the-art guide to building your own path to professional and financial success, but it’s not about getting rich。 It’s a blueprint to living life on your own terms。

Thank you Dr Brandi Moore for loaning me the book。 Dr Brandi is a naturopathic doctor, podcaster (The Pretty Healthy Podcast), and she is Crushing It! Gary Vee is no nonsense when it comes to brand growth。 Be real, connect and learn。 It’s not a sprint but a marathon of a process but anyone can start。 The entrepreneur world is wide open。

Gary is a clear, concise, and great communicator。 The stories are engaging and prove that everyone comes from somewhere。 Loved the law of thermodynamics and even though this is a few years old, it is still relevant!

English Review : Definitely a good book to build a foundation on personal branding, the concepts are simple yet sound complicated because it’s really a matter of understanding and doing it。Indonesian Review : Buku yang menarik untuk orang yang belum pede branding dan ingin insight dari orang orang yang berpengalaman。 Kalau mencari buku step by step, ini bukan bukunya karena concept2 ini sangat universal gitu。

If you have read Gary’s other books, or paid attention to any of his content, there won’t be a whole lot of new information here。 Which, is good because that means his message is consistent。 However, what you will find is new information that’s more current than his 2009 book, Crush It。 If you’re looking to start a new business venture, wherever point of that you may find yourself in, Gary offers practical tips on how to get started and be effective on any social media platform。 Sure, some may r If you have read Gary’s other books, or paid attention to any of his content, there won’t be a whole lot of new information here。 Which, is good because that means his message is consistent。 However, what you will find is new information that’s more current than his 2009 book, Crush It。 If you’re looking to start a new business venture, wherever point of that you may find yourself in, Gary offers practical tips on how to get started and be effective on any social media platform。 Sure, some may read this and think it’s a load of bull。 But I’ve implemented some of the things he has mentioned in this book, and others, and it’s benefitted my podcast。 So, take my opinion for what you will。While I appreciated the brevity of the book, it did come off as though he was trying to get you to read his 2009 book, Crush It。 Which, is a bit weird。 Some of the information in the book is out of date now, specifically the chapter focused on Musicaly and the chapter on Voice First seemed out of place。 But I will hand it to Gary, he is not afraid of new technology and has a way of getting people to try out those platforms because you really never know what could come of it。All in all, a good read that will give you ideas on how to manage social media for your business and how to handle interactions with customers and community。 。。。more

Gary Vaynerchuk or GaryVee, is a Russian-American entrepreneur, author, speaker and internet personality。 It’s you’re an entrepreneur (or wanna-be) and active in social media, you’ll know him。 In his 2009 international bestseller Crust It!, Gary insisted that a vibrant personal brand was crucial to entrepreneurial success。 In Crushing It!, 9 years later, Gary explains why that’s even truer today, offering his unique perspective on what has changed and what principles remain timeless。How do I kno Gary Vaynerchuk or GaryVee, is a Russian-American entrepreneur, author, speaker and internet personality。 It’s you’re an entrepreneur (or wanna-be) and active in social media, you’ll know him。 In his 2009 international bestseller Crust It!, Gary insisted that a vibrant personal brand was crucial to entrepreneurial success。 In Crushing It!, 9 years later, Gary explains why that’s even truer today, offering his unique perspective on what has changed and what principles remain timeless。How do I know Gary? Through social media, books, and podcasts。 How Gary makes a difference in my life? Because of his in-your-face advice and sometimes renegade wisdom, I start again using Instagram again and created a Twitter account to share my materials on leadership, leadership, and creativity – in short, my personal brand。 Also, when my blog URL was blocked on Facebook last month, I have to find another way to spread my brand。 Wala!? Create videos and share them on YouTube! It’s not because of Gary alone, of course, but one of the cheerleaders is him。 So you can see how valuable this book is to me personally。There are two (2) parts to this book:Part 1: Get Pumped。 Here Gary tells the importance of building your personal brand, turn your passion into profit, eight things that really matter to “Crushing It!” (Namely, 1) Intent, 2) Authenticity, 3) Passion, 4) Patience, 5) Speed, 6) Work, 7) Attention, and 8) Content。 I shared briefly in the video), advised his readers to document rather than creating, reveals the reasons what stopping people from “Crushing It!” and a chapter on giving yourself permission to just do it! I’m pumped up after I finished reading this part。Part 2: Create Your Pillar。 Basically, this part is all about practicality。 There are three (3) basics things that you HAVE to do: 1) create a Facebook page; 2) the importance of using hashtags#, and 3) encouragement to collaborate and partner with others。 Then he devotes each chapter to explain about Musical。ly, Snapchat, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Podcasts and Voice-First。 Worth reading it! Gary also tells the stories at the end of each chapter how others used his timeless principles in “Crush It!” to build their businesses and influence :) To read my other BOOK REVIEWS, click here: https://legasitv。blogspot。com/search/。。。 。。。more

But by having guests throughout the book, examples of people who had read and followed Crush It, his previous book, it provided reference points and a mirror as to where I am, was, and where I want to be。Chronologically, I thought the it was mapped out very well。 From discussing;*Opportunity。 The internet。 And personal branding*Passion*Commitment*Meta content, in different and in varying。 Documenting your journey。 And genuine content。*Being resilient, because you’ll need to be。 Having courage, confidence, and belief。All before discussing how to build your brand via the various platforms。Generally, I’ve always understood the premises in having courage, confidence, and belief。 But what was very poignant for me were the stories and journeys which I related to a lot in which I’ve gone through, or going through。 And statements and topic such as:*Personal Branding, the importance。I think the book is most useful for those perhaps beginning on their journey。 But very much a great tool to revise and go over。 To which I will, as well as visit Crush it。 。。。more

Work harder, not smarter。 That's the main message of this book。I came across this book fairly recently (in the last year or two) in, I believe, an Entrepreneur article。 One of those "best business books" or "every book an entrepreneur needs to read。" And, quite frankly, I'm surprised that it would be in anyone's list in the Year of Our Lord 2021, or even 2019。The specific advice is painfully dated。 I mean, there's literally a section trying to convince the Dear Reader that Twitter might seem wei Work harder, not smarter。 That's the main message of this book。I came across this book fairly recently (in the last year or two) in, I believe, an Entrepreneur article。 One of those "best business books" or "every book an entrepreneur needs to read。" And, quite frankly, I'm surprised that it would be in anyone's list in the Year of Our Lord 2021, or even 2019。The specific advice is painfully dated。 I mean, there's literally a section trying to convince the Dear Reader that Twitter might seem weird, but it will be big one day。 Or that YouTube might be worth considering。 But beyond that, the age of inundating the world with mediocre content is mostly gone。 Flooding the channels isn't going to get you the attention you want anymore。Yes, I think there's still opportunities to capture niches if you have the right content on the right platforms。 So in that regard, he's absolutely right。 And, yes, he's right about a number of things that are still relevant today, which are, admittedly, his basic tenants (love your family, find your passion)。 But a 12 year old book that's mostly about what specifically you need to do to make a successful blog (he actually says buying the 。tv URL is essential。。。) is not going to be super helpful today。Also, anyone who literally suggests working from 6 am to 3 am every day belongs in a special circle of hell。 I don't care if you're doing the thing you love most in your life, working those kinds of hours for anyone other than a very, very, very small percentage of the population is going to lead to massive burn out。 There's growing evidence that working over about 50 hours a week is actually counterproductive for almost everyone。 And saying that anyone who isn't willing to work those kinds of hours is guaranteed to fail shouldn't bother writing a book, because only about 100 people could possibly take that kind of advice and succeed。But maybe that's really what he thinks。 In which case, very few people will ever be "crushing it。" 。。。more
