This book provided a very nice beginners overview of several different types of flowers。 I especially appreciate how the book was grouped by season and provided tips on preparing your garden each season。 The photos in this book were visually stunning but I wish there would have been more informative captions and perhaps more photos of the stages of maturity for different flowers。

This book is not only beautiful， it serves as my backyard flower garden encyclopedia。 Ms。 Benzakein tells the readers what has worked best for her - tools， growing strategies， and plant types - so that we do not have to learn by trial-and-error。 Unlike many other flower books， she includes pictures of each flower she references。 I rarely purchase books， but I am glad to have this in my library。
