As his classmates celebrate their middle school graduation, troubled Mirai is mired in darkness。 But his battle is just beginning when he receives some salvation from above in the form of an angel。 Now Mirai is pitted against 12 other chosen humans in a battle in which the winner becomes the next god of the world。 Mirai has an angel in his corner, but he may need to become a devil to survive。

The remaining god candidates are separated into two sides as the final confrontation over who will become the next god begins。 Professor Yoneda seems to have everything figured out, but can Mirai turn the tables before they all wind up dead?

I thought vol 12 would be the last。。。this just feels like the story is dragging 。。。

Platinum End, Vol。 13 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next six chapters (48–53) of the on-going manga series。The meeting of the five God Candidates continues。 Gaku Yoneda with Shūji Nakaumi by his side and under the influence of the red arrow tries to explain to the rest of the God Candidates: Mirai Kakehashi, Saki Hanakago, and Yuri Temari his reasoning as to why he needed to be God, while keeping secret that he wants to make sure that no God is chosen, by mutual Platinum End, Vol。 13 continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next six chapters (48–53) of the on-going manga series。The meeting of the five God Candidates continues。 Gaku Yoneda with Shūji Nakaumi by his side and under the influence of the red arrow tries to explain to the rest of the God Candidates: Mirai Kakehashi, Saki Hanakago, and Yuri Temari his reasoning as to why he needed to be God, while keeping secret that he wants to make sure that no God is chosen, by mutual annihilation。His reasoning to become God is an odd combination of nihilism and predestination – as he views humanity is destined to die within half a millennium。 Naturally, the opposing three disagrees as Gaku Yoneda expected and asked to speak with the opposing member chosen to be God – Mirai Kakehashi one-on-one, which they agree。 Mirai Kakehashi and Gaku Yoneda would speak one-on-one, while the rest returns to the capital building, which turns out to be a trap。Surprisingly, Mirai Kakehashi shoots a white arrow at Gaku Yoneda, but he easily dodges。 Knowing that this tête-à-tête would be fruitless, Gaku Yoneda would force Mirai Kakehashi to give up his claim to becoming God。 First he stops Mirai Kakehashi in trying to kill him as he proved that Saki Hanakago is captured and he has Shūji Nakaumi on the ready to kill her – that works。 Secondly, to seal his fate Gaku Yoneda forces Mirai Kakehashi to choose his life or Saki Hanakago's, which he was willing to lay down his life。As the white arrow is approaching him, Mirai Kakehashi is saved not once, but twice。 First by Nasse, who is demoted, because she interfered with her God Candidate and their fate, because of her demotion, Mirai Kakehashi loses his abilities to shoot white arrows and have to choose between red arrows and flight – he chooses red arrow。 The second time his is freed by Saki Hanakago, who is surprisingly freed。This tankōbon is written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata。 It deals with the confrontation between Gaku Yoneda and Mirai Kakehashi in order to peacefully determine the next God。 The reasoning behind Gaku Yoneda wanting to become God is quite confusing and I have to read it a couple of times – not sure if it is the translation of the text that is confusing, but it could have been clearer。 Otherwise, the narrative was done rather nice。All in all, Platinum End, Vol。 13 is a wonderful continuation of the series and I can't wait to read more。 I am intrigued to find out how the story continues。 。。。more

Encore un tome dans le combat final, je ne sais meme plus depuis combien de valûmes on en est la… mais je suis sure que ça commence à faire long ! Le combat avance un peu, on a encore des développements philosophiques, tout ça… mais ça traine ! je suis vraiment curieuse du prochain tome qui devrait conclure la série… mais je suis presque soulagée qu’il n’y en est plus qu’un。
