✨ Mi tío ha muerto。 Y no sé porqué， pero en cierto modo lo envidio。✨¡Hola a todos！ Hoy les traigo la reseña de Corona Cruel。 El libro está compuesto por dos relatos de unas 100 páginas cada uno。 Vamos en orden:Queen Song es la historia de la Reina Coriane， la madre de Cal。 Coriane es una persona con una mentalidad muy débil y siempre pensó que todo el mundo no la quería， y si bien no era tan cierto， un poco de eso tenía。Me pareció una historia que no tiene nada de relevante。 Todos sabemos que Co ✨ Mi tío ha muerto。 Y no sé porqué， pero en cierto modo lo envidio。✨¡Hola a todos！ Hoy les traigo la reseña de Corona Cruel。 El libro está compuesto por dos relatos de unas 100 páginas cada uno。 Vamos en orden:Queen Song es la historia de la Reina Coriane， la madre de Cal。 Coriane es una persona con una mentalidad muy débil y siempre pensó que todo el mundo no la quería， y si bien no era tan cierto， un poco de eso tenía。Me pareció una historia que no tiene nada de relevante。 Todos sabemos que Coriane murió por la maldad de Elara Merandus que quería quedarse con el trono。 Esta historia lo único que hizo fue dejarla en una posición mala a Coriane porque no fue lo suficientemente fuerte para protegerse de los juegos mentales de Elara。 Ni siquiera hizo lo necesario por su hijo。Es una historia muy corta y que se lee rápido。Lo único que puedo destacar es que podemos conocer que alguna vez el Rey Tiberias VI no fue tan malo。。。 Pero solo duró un tiempo limitado。✨ Soy de la Guardia Escarlata， jovencito。 Tenemos cosas más importantes de que preocuparnos que la piel desnuda。✨Terminé de leer Steel Scars y la verdad que fue bastante decepcionante。 Realmente esperaba más， conocer un poco más sobre el papá de Diana y como era su relación pero nada de eso sucedió， el cordero y el carnero quedaron en eso， dos personajes que。。。 No tienen nada para contar。Es la historia de Diana Farley， la capitana de la Guardia Escarlata， quién recluta en la reina roja a Mare y Maven。 Pero está historia es un poco antes de la saga principal。Este relato nos informa sobre cómo Shade Barrow llega con la Guardia Escarlata， de que forma fueron realizando los diferentes ataques en primer momento y como reclutaron gente para lo que se venía。Además en el final del relato ven como Mare y sus poderes se presentan ante el mundo y como su hermano Shade le ruega a la capitana Farley que la ayude。Es una historia corta， que no le encontré mucho sentido porque son personajes que ya tienen su explicación en la saga principal。 No les hacía falta un libro。 Pero bueno， la escritora lo quiso así。En fin， ninguna de las dos historias me convenció。 De preferir， pues me quedo con la historia de Coriane， capaz un poquito más de sentido tiene ya que no la llegamos a conocer nunca en la saga principal y acá se vislumbra lo desquiciada que se había vuelto。 Pero lo de Farley， me pareció totalmente innecesario。¡Nos leemos pronto！Elu 。。。more

Expande ideas que ya conocíamos y añade algunas cosas que nos hacen atar mejor los cabos。Diría que si no estas completamente amarrado a la historia no lo leyeras， pues una buena parte de lo que dice el libro es informacion conocida y a no ser que el estilo de escritura de victoria o los personajes resuenen contigo se te puede hacer pesado。Aunque su estilo no es particularmente de mi agrado （y mas por el hecho de que no soy muy entusiasta del uso de primera persona） si que se me hizo interesante Expande ideas que ya conocíamos y añade algunas cosas que nos hacen atar mejor los cabos。Diría que si no estas completamente amarrado a la historia no lo leyeras， pues una buena parte de lo que dice el libro es informacion conocida y a no ser que el estilo de escritura de victoria o los personajes resuenen contigo se te puede hacer pesado。Aunque su estilo no es particularmente de mi agrado （y mas por el hecho de que no soy muy entusiasta del uso de primera persona） si que se me hizo interesante de leer y reírme junto a mi amiga de algunos errores de continuidad o asombrarme por algunos detalles innecesarios que de cierta forma añaden un poco a que los personajes （en especial farley） sean creibles。 。。。more

omg！ If you have read Red Queen you NEED to read this。 It’s an easy wholesome read。 In Steel Scar you get an inside to Farley meeting Shade as she works with the Scarlet Guard。 and to mirror Red Queen we get to see Mare’s entrance to the Scarlet Guard from Farleys POV which i loved so so much。 Queen Song is also an incredible short story。 Getting a small look into the life of Coriane made my heart melt and fall in love with her so much。 While reading the rest of the RQ it also made it more touch omg！ If you have read Red Queen you NEED to read this。 It’s an easy wholesome read。 In Steel Scar you get an inside to Farley meeting Shade as she works with the Scarlet Guard。 and to mirror Red Queen we get to see Mare’s entrance to the Scarlet Guard from Farleys POV which i loved so so much。 Queen Song is also an incredible short story。 Getting a small look into the life of Coriane made my heart melt and fall in love with her so much。 While reading the rest of the RQ it also made it more touching when we hear Cal talking about her。 It’s another insight to this world which i loved 🥰 。。。more

i enjoyed reading about cals parents and their story but i really like farleys past。 especially when she met shade :（ it made me miss him so much more 3 i wish victoria went more in depth with both parts of the book but it was still a nice quick short read ！cry count: 0-1 cant remember

FUE GENIALprimero la historia de Coronel nos hizo saber muchas cosas de un personaje que apenas pudimos conocer， y te deja muy en shock。PERO LA DE FARLEYA medida que iba avanzando se ponía cada vez mejor， y ver lo que sucedió en el primer libro， pero desde un punto de vista totalmente diferente al que lo conocíamos fue lo que hizo al libro buenísimo。Y claramente llore cuando apareció Shade， no podía no hacerlo。 Me meten de repente a mi novio muerto， y mi estabilidad emocional se rompió。

I loved both stories， the first one just strengthened my hate for Elara。 I wish we got to meet Coriane as she seemed wonderful and had quite a fantastic story to share， I enjoyed all I learned about her， but I felt that it was just not enough compared to the things she actually experienced and went through。 Second story was brilliant as well， my love for Shade and Diana went through the roof。

Queen Song - 5 stars Queen Song was such an interesting short story to read。 I really enjoyed reading about Queen Coriane’s history on how she became queen。 Steel Scar - 3 stars I was struggling to read this novella。 Farley is a character I could care less about。 Nothing about this short story was interesting in the slightest bit。 It did， however， redeem itself toward the end when Shade was introduced。 Overall， I rate this novella bind up 3 out of 5 stars。

These novellas were good and I think that they added some extra depth to the characters， especially after reading the entire Red Queen series。 Personally， I believe that they were more effective to read after finishing the series instead of between books one and two， which is when I believe you are intended to read them。 I enjoyed learning more about Queen Coriane and her background before having Cal， and I also really enjoyed watching the development of the relationship between Shade and Farley These novellas were good and I think that they added some extra depth to the characters， especially after reading the entire Red Queen series。 Personally， I believe that they were more effective to read after finishing the series instead of between books one and two， which is when I believe you are intended to read them。 I enjoyed learning more about Queen Coriane and her background before having Cal， and I also really enjoyed watching the development of the relationship between Shade and Farley。 Neither of these novellas really had much of a plot/storyline， but I don't think that's what they were intended for。 I enjoyed them， and they are definitely a quick read if you're looking for a little bit more on some of your favorite characters。 。。。more

Although these are two prequel novellas， it is highly recommended to read Red Queen （#1） and then read the two novellas as additional information/background。 Cruel Crown is three different pieces compiled into one book。 Two are the prequel short novellas that take place in the past and give insight into the main series。 The last part is an excerpt/sneak peek of Glass Sword （#2） and can be skipped if you are planning on moving forward in the series。 The first novella is on the Silver side of Although these are two prequel novellas， it is highly recommended to read Red Queen （#1） and then read the two novellas as additional information/background。 Cruel Crown is three different pieces compiled into one book。 Two are the prequel short novellas that take place in the past and give insight into the main series。 The last part is an excerpt/sneak peek of Glass Sword （#2） and can be skipped if you are planning on moving forward in the series。 The first novella is on the Silver side of society。 Queen Song， is about Coriane， Cal’s mother and first wife of Tiberias before her passing。 The second is on the Red side of society。 Steel Scars focuses on Farley as she is working on gathering forces that eventually lead to Mare （the main character in the central series）。 Queen Song [4 out of 5]It opens with their Coriane Jacos is Prince Cal’s mother and the first wife of King Tiberias （“Tibe”） Calore V， a prince in this part of the story。 Not only does it give some background in Cal’s mother， but it also gave some more insight into Tiberias and gave his character some more depth。 He was more vulnerable and human in this story compared to how I perceived him in Red Queen。 The romance between the two of them was very sweet and I loved their relationship。 It was interesting to see how their courtship led to a lot of tension due to complications with the Queenstrial that typically chooses a Queen。 Elara enters the scene in this novella and you see more about how she eventually becomes the villainess character we already know from Red Queen。 Overall， it was great to see Tibe’s first love and how Coriane navigated the many difficulties of the Court all leading to the love both parents have for Cal。 Steel Scars [2。5 out of 5]There seem to be three camps for this novella: those that disliked it， those that loved it only for Shade （Mare’s brother）， and the minority is those that fully loved it。 I found myself more or less between the first two as I did not love it， but I did not hate it and Shade’s part definitely helped。 The story covers the revolution side of the main series and takes place a few years after Queen Song ends。 Diana Farley grew up in the Lakelands before coming to Norta and eventually joining the Scarlet Guard。 There are a lot of narrative mission reports in this novella that are all the different transmissions between members of the rebellion。 While interesting， the inclusion of all the details seemed to take away from the story。 Instead， brief recaps/summaries would have kept the flow going a little more for me。 Shade and Farley have a romantic connection， but it was not as developed as I expected。 Overall， this story was interesting but would have been more engaging from Shade’s point of view as his character was more dynamic than Farley’s and would have captivated the reader more than Farley's。 She was an okay character， but not enough， in this novella， to be the main one。 。。。more
