Not the greatest volume in the series, but we still get some entertaining Stands and fights as we move towards the conclusion of Stardust Crusaders。

The entire first arc is basically Yu-Gi-Oh, but the second arc makes up for it with a cool villain, drama, and heroic character deaths。

Yeah。。。 It's dragging on a bit。 I liked the concept of the two stand users introduced (well technically three)。 The second section was more suspenseful than the first。 I really admire Araki's willingness to experiment with different art styles。 Also I really liked old Suzy Q's design and now I want to see JoJo's Elderly Adventure。 Yeah。。。 It's dragging on a bit。 I liked the concept of the two stand users introduced (well technically three)。 The second section was more suspenseful than the first。 I really admire Araki's willingness to experiment with different art styles。 Also I really liked old Suzy Q's design and now I want to see JoJo's Elderly Adventure。 。。。more

The D'arby arc is continued in this volume with many more chapters than expected。 We later proceed to Vanilla Ice arc and end the volume with Suzi meeting her daughter and knowing about her illness。 The D'arby arc is continued in this volume with many more chapters than expected。 We later proceed to Vanilla Ice arc and end the volume with Suzi meeting her daughter and knowing about her illness。 。。。more

Objectively, this is a very solid volume of JoJo's, but I'm getting a little fatigued。 I hoped Stardust Crusaders was on an upward trajectory, but honestly, it hasn't been GREAT in a while, when compared to its contemporaries。 Still a lot of fun, and this arc had some good villains in it, but the monster of the week formula gets too far away from what I understood to be the potential of stands as a plot device。 Polnareff has had a good arc, and this volume has some somber goodbyes, but as with t Objectively, this is a very solid volume of JoJo's, but I'm getting a little fatigued。 I hoped Stardust Crusaders was on an upward trajectory, but honestly, it hasn't been GREAT in a while, when compared to its contemporaries。 Still a lot of fun, and this arc had some good villains in it, but the monster of the week formula gets too far away from what I understood to be the potential of stands as a plot device。 Polnareff has had a good arc, and this volume has some somber goodbyes, but as with the other arcs, I've become more curious and excited about Diamond is Unbreakable as I near the end of Stardust。 。。。more

I love the D’Arby arcs。 This one provides not only humor and high stakes, but a hint of nostalgia too。 Instead of poker, the younger D’Arby steals souls through the old video games of the late 80s。 Again I have to marvel at how easy it is to follow the flow of the art。 Other than that, we are now nearing the end of the Stardust Crusaders, and there are some conclusive climaxes as they enter the lair of Dio。
