A lonely maintenance worker gets tangled in an anti-corporation operation。

During a routine shift, Todd, an employee at Night City Area Rapid Transit, encounters an altercation between a mysterious woman and the Maelstrom gang。 As the woman attempts to escape, she hands him a chip。 To find her and uncover the data, he sets off on a wild journey through the city's seedy mekka and dangerous wastelands where he meets a sly new client, crazy cyberpunks, and the infamous Johnny Silverhand。 He'll finally discover what true love is and why it'll never be possible, not in a place like Night City。

After the other installments of the new comics published by Dark Horse I was definitely ready to pick this up right away。 This is a little bit different than the others, in the sense that this is the first mostly just graphic novel installment without having it released as individual issues first。 It's also interesting that this is labelled as Cyberpunk 2077, yet the the date we run into is 2023, so this is set in the Cyberpunk 2020 setting? This reads more like a quick short story adventure rath After the other installments of the new comics published by Dark Horse I was definitely ready to pick this up right away。 This is a little bit different than the others, in the sense that this is the first mostly just graphic novel installment without having it released as individual issues first。 It's also interesting that this is labelled as Cyberpunk 2077, yet the the date we run into is 2023, so this is set in the Cyberpunk 2020 setting? This reads more like a quick short story adventure rather than a really fully formed idea。 I think that's part of the problem with it, it's almost so minimalist in it's aim that you never really get to know any of the characters。 It's a fast paced quick read about a lonely maintenance worker that stumbles into a situation with a cyberpunk。 It's pretty clear that he's sort of instantly into her, but is clearly to shy to do much about it。 At first she treats him as beneath her, not surprising, but then he gets duped into something that enhances him and suddenly he's quite the asset。The story rushes past and you never really get to know anyone beyond their most basic existence。 I guess, if you wanted a comic with a Cyberpunk flair, but with little substance this serves as that kind of adventure。 But if you're hoping for a deeper dive into the world of Cyberpunk to fleshed out better, then this will be pretty disappointing。 I'm usually down for a good adventure and the basic idea and premise of the tale is pretty good and would make for a more compelling fleshed out episode。。。 but I think the pace is part of the point。 It's that whole whirlwind of getting scammed fast and hard and you just don't know, so they bring the reader along for that ride。The art is pretty interesting, it's definitely different from the standard comic experience。 I think it fit the depiction of what the authors were trying to present。 I preferred the art in the other comics, but this fits pretty well for a messy fast paced story at the end of the day。I don't mind a quick jaunt into the world of Cyberpunk and maybe I hated this less than other reviewers, but most of them are totally right that the other comics are definitely better。 So, if this is your first jaunt into the expanded comic universe, don't judge the other stories by this one。 Here's hoping the next round of comics planned are even better! 。。。more

Cyberpunk 2077: Your Voice is pretty damn rubbish in my opinion。The plot/central concept behind the story was weak and has been done far far better elsewhere。 The pacing was poor, with too many time jumps in too short a story - it all felt very clunky。 The characters weren't interesting and I saw and learned absolutely nothing about them to make me care about what they were doing and going through。What is supposed to be a twist at the end was also very underwhelming。 You know you've failed to cr Cyberpunk 2077: Your Voice is pretty damn rubbish in my opinion。The plot/central concept behind the story was weak and has been done far far better elsewhere。 The pacing was poor, with too many time jumps in too short a story - it all felt very clunky。 The characters weren't interesting and I saw and learned absolutely nothing about them to make me care about what they were doing and going through。What is supposed to be a twist at the end was also very underwhelming。 You know you've failed to create a compelling story when a reader's final thought after turning the last page was "oh。。。 OK。 That's it。"The art was hit and miss for me。 On the positive end of the spectrum, I like the stylized scenery and landscape stuff。 It was good and looked really nice。 The colourist did a good job too。However。 The characters, their faces and the way both action and movement were created was just terrible。 It was all so flat and dark and sharp。 There was very little fluidity, and the art between panels - as well as the angle from which we were seeing, was very poorly directed。I'm sure someone is going to come along and tell me it's all deliberate and that the sharpness, the darkness and the confusing angles are all just used to convey themes of discomfort and rigidity in this futuristic portrayal of society, but nooooooo I don't care, I'm not accepting that。 One of the central pillars of Cyberpunk as a genre, and as a group of people within said genre, is aesthetics。 This graphic novel was not aesthetically pleasing to me at all, and in my opinion it failed in almost every aspect。So 'Your Voice' is getting a 1 star from me。 Luckily I read this while at work and didn't buy it before giving it a try。 。。。more

*Thanks to Edelweiss and the publisher for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review。*This deserves less than 1 star。 It’s 80 pages of utter confusion in which I had no idea who was who, what was what, or what on this entire planet was even happening。There was zero explanation, zero coherent storyline and complete chaos。 The colours were wild and pretty but made everything that was depicted extremely incomprehensible。 There was no way to discern different faces or settings。 An i *Thanks to Edelweiss and the publisher for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review。*This deserves less than 1 star。 It’s 80 pages of utter confusion in which I had no idea who was who, what was what, or what on this entire planet was even happening。There was zero explanation, zero coherent storyline and complete chaos。 The colours were wild and pretty but made everything that was depicted extremely incomprehensible。 There was no way to discern different faces or settings。 An incoherent work of art。If you want to read a Cyberpunk 2077 related comic I suggest you check out Cyberpunk 2077, Vol。 1: Trauma Team, otherwise forget it because this comic isn’t even worth the half an hour it’ll take you to read it。 。。。more

(Note to self: don't mention the video game!)Here's another tale from the world of tabletop role playing game Cyberpunk 2077, and it's a perfectly nice story, written by writers coming off the recent video game we no longer mention。Todd (most cyberpunk of names) is a maintenance worker in the underground of Night City, and gets tangled up in a fight between a woman and a local gang。 This all spirals out in an action against a corporation, there are gunfights, explosions and it all ends on a bona (Note to self: don't mention the video game!)Here's another tale from the world of tabletop role playing game Cyberpunk 2077, and it's a perfectly nice story, written by writers coming off the recent video game we no longer mention。Todd (most cyberpunk of names) is a maintenance worker in the underground of Night City, and gets tangled up in a fight between a woman and a local gang。 This all spirals out in an action against a corporation, there are gunfights, explosions and it all ends on a bona fide twist! It's okay, nothing mindblowing。 The art is more interesting - it reminds me a bit of '80s Vertigo art, including the neon colours that we have come to expect from cyberpunk (be it the genre, the tabletop role playing game but not the video game)。 I can't decide whether I like it or not。(Thanks to Dark Horse Books for providing me with an ARC through Edelweiss) 。。。more

Basically shows how Johnny Silverhand his crew got the Pocket Nuke that they detonated in Arasaka HQ。 The main character (Todd) is along for the ride and unknowingly a "star" in the Braindance/SimStim film "Badland's Raid" that 2077 references often。In the grand scheme of things, it jumps a little too fast despite 80 pages and being digital。 Not really absolutely NEEDED to read, unless you want some Cyberpunk。 The art is serviceable, but could be better。GOG's comic reader interface sucks, though Basically shows how Johnny Silverhand his crew got the Pocket Nuke that they detonated in Arasaka HQ。 The main character (Todd) is along for the ride and unknowingly a "star" in the Braindance/SimStim film "Badland's Raid" that 2077 references often。In the grand scheme of things, it jumps a little too fast despite 80 pages and being digital。 Not really absolutely NEEDED to read, unless you want some Cyberpunk。 The art is serviceable, but could be better。GOG's comic reader interface sucks, though。 I have a 1080p monitor, I shouldn't have to scroll wheel up the zoom to read the page, just click-drag up and down the page and then next-page it。 。。。more

The somewhat minimalist story was decent and I enjoyed the highly stylized neon artwork which was cool and fit the setting well。 Overall I much preferred Your Voice to the other CP2077 promo, Big City Dreams。

Vypraví příběh který se stal před hrou, zajímavé doplnění děje。 Bohužel kresba až moc stylizovaná ocenil bych trochu obyčejnější podání。
