Trilogy Review: 3。5/5I feel like I got a reverse experience compared to what I've seen from other people。 I thought it started very mediocre and got better as it went。 The Death Cure was my favorite of the three, but I see most people found that one to be the worst。Teresa, the main love interest, introduced in The Maze Runner, seemed unlikable。 The characters in the book did not like her, and I could not figure out for the life of me why Thomas liked her。 As I said in my review of The Scorch Tri Trilogy Review: 3。5/5I feel like I got a reverse experience compared to what I've seen from other people。 I thought it started very mediocre and got better as it went。 The Death Cure was my favorite of the three, but I see most people found that one to be the worst。Teresa, the main love interest, introduced in The Maze Runner, seemed unlikable。 The characters in the book did not like her, and I could not figure out for the life of me why Thomas liked her。 As I said in my review of The Scorch Trials, I think it's due to forced time spent together for familiarity。 I can't think of any other reason。The Maze Runner and The Scorch Trials both dragged in large sections。 I don't think The Death Cure did at all。I'm content with the way the series ended。 Prequel Review: The Kill Order 3/5I will start by saying, I think this can be read as a stand alone。 It would spoil things from the initial Maze Runner trilogy, but it can definitely be read as a stand alone story。 It would come off as having an incomplete ending, but it can be done。 It feels complete as a prequel, read in order as book 4, because at that point the reader already knows everything else。It wasn't great。 The first half of the book was slow。 I was only going to give it a two, but the second half of the book was significantly better。I read Crank Palace before this, since it was supposed to take place during part of The Death Cure。 The Kill Order felt a lot like Crank Palace。The swipe data section in the back wasn't what I was expecting。 I thought it was going to be a report of some kind, like what the other Maze Runner books had at the end of each volume。 Instead, it seemed like an extension of the epilogue, which seemed odd, because they didn't even have the swipe at the time shown in that section。 。。。more

Review of the actual last book in this four book novel - The Kill Zone started sometime in April 2021。I didn’t enjoy this book, but felt I needed to finish the four book seriesJust violence after violence, and this is aimed at young adults? Really? Ah well, done now, won’t be revisiting them。

Excelente saga, te atrapa desde el inicio y los dos libros complementarios son perfectos para acabar la saga。

GabeS

Not very in-depth characterization。 Characters are not very intelligent。

Sabru

Toda la tetralogía está llena de suspenso, acción y un poquito de romance, lo que lo hace muy buena colección。No me gustó el final。

Much better than any movieI loved the movies but the books are even better and they give you a better perspective of what each person is thinking and why。 There are numerous differences between the books and the movies。 I would say the movies only capture about 40% of the books plot。 Reading the books will definitely shed light on some of the characters behaviors。

Alex

This series is okay。。。 but i believe that the first book was the best of them all。

James Dashner does a good job immersing the reader in his world。 This is how I would give my reviews to the trilogy - Maze Runner - 4。7 stars Scorch Trials - 4 stars Death Cure - 2 starsAs you can clearly see, the series keeps going downhill until it completely crashes。 James Dashner could have done way better。 All the people looking forward to reading this series should be aware this series will have a pathetic ending。 I would not recommend this series to anyone。 Yet I give this series 4 stars James Dashner does a good job immersing the reader in his world。 This is how I would give my reviews to the trilogy - Maze Runner - 4。7 stars Scorch Trials - 4 stars Death Cure - 2 starsAs you can clearly see, the series keeps going downhill until it completely crashes。 James Dashner could have done way better。 All the people looking forward to reading this series should be aware this series will have a pathetic ending。 I would not recommend this series to anyone。 Yet I give this series 4 stars because I loved the Maze runner and liked the Scorch trials。 。。。more

Dystopia Sci-Fi。 15 AR points。 Lexile = 770

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 The author applied a very primitive style of writing。 The whole plot of the four books was deciphered in book one。 The rest of the books were a mere copy-pasting process of mimicking the book one。 From the book two and on I lost my interest in reading it, though I managed to finish the badly injured book off。

Sara Young

I haven’t seen the movie, but the books are fast-paced for action, but slow enough for character development

Anne

They are a bit gory but very well written and prescient in these changing times

Ashley Robellard

Excellent series!

Seany Boy

Some of the best books written。 This is a must-read series for people aged 10 and upwards。

Laurel

Awesome story, great characters。 I would love to reread this series to see everything I missed the first time around, but it sure is a rolar coaster of emotions。
