This was a helpful supplement to the Genki textbook。 This workbook gives the reader questions using new vocabulary and grammar lessons from each chapter。 If you decide to use the Genki textbook， I also recommend the workbook！

This book helped me make the leap from knowing some Japanese words to being able to have simple conversations in Japanese。 After finishing Genk 1 and 2， the workbooks， and some courses on Memrise， I am around level N4。 Good luck in your studies， this is a must-have！

Some good additional practice to go with each chapter of the main book。 An answer key to check yourself against would have been great though。

The Genki 1 workbook is a great companion to the Genki 1 textbook。 It mirrors the textbook exactly， so there is never any confusion on how to do certain exercises。 I also appreciated the differing kinds of exercises: written， oral， and listening， which are necessary in order to learn a language as completely as possible through a textbook/workbook combination。
