I rather enjoyed this volume。 It is filled with a number of connected side stories that are the end of the summer vacation for the students。 It is filled with a number of shenanigans that you might expect。 Some secrets， some plots， some summer love。 And of course Ayanokoji's working behind the scenes。While it doesn't have any momentous moments like the special tests， this feels a lot more down-to-earth and it makes the series even more likeable because of it。As usual it was a fast， easy， enjoyab I rather enjoyed this volume。 It is filled with a number of connected side stories that are the end of the summer vacation for the students。 It is filled with a number of shenanigans that you might expect。 Some secrets， some plots， some summer love。 And of course Ayanokoji's working behind the scenes。While it doesn't have any momentous moments like the special tests， this feels a lot more down-to-earth and it makes the series even more likeable because of it。As usual it was a fast， easy， enjoyable read。Verdict: Volume 4½ doesn't take the plot massively forward in any real way， but it does give you some insight into the characters that I'm guessing will be useful。 。。。more

My favorite so far and yet also the most inconsequential。。。 I like that the characters in these are various shades of gray rather than being all good or bad。 Makes them more interesting。

I usually really dislike short stories but this one made sense and since it all took place during the summer break it still felt cohesive。 I like that we got a deeper understanding for many of the characters and got to see more of them and their personalities。 There are so many characters that they sometimes have to fight for the spotlight but here many got chances to get flashed out。 I am looking forward to se how this plays out in the main story。
