InspiringThis book is everything I already believe in and try to do but with an easy application。 Doing it EVERY morning with my coffee that I dare NEVER forget is BRILLIANT!

Kristen's energy is very infectious, and I was totally enthralled by the prospect of pairing my morning beverage (I'm a coffee snob) with making magical things happen in my life。 There isn't enough fun literature out there testifying to the magic of coffee! So I bought this immediately thinking there would be new attestations to the wonders of enjoying coffee in the morning light, and how we may practise gratitude with such a pleasing daily ritual。I'll say what others have said - so much padding Kristen's energy is very infectious, and I was totally enthralled by the prospect of pairing my morning beverage (I'm a coffee snob) with making magical things happen in my life。 There isn't enough fun literature out there testifying to the magic of coffee! So I bought this immediately thinking there would be new attestations to the wonders of enjoying coffee in the morning light, and how we may practise gratitude with such a pleasing daily ritual。I'll say what others have said - so much padding。 75 percent of the book was the same thing over and over, the chapters reworded, with some science thrown in。 No new material or new approaches presented。 I felt like I owed it to the author, whose encouragement is sublime, to stick with it。 I feel chapter 11, which touches upon the dangers of over-consumption of news and social media and negative people, could have been expanded upon。 Ultimately, a bit disappointed。 I wish there was less of "here's how this works and why you should do it" and more of a reflective and thoughtful theme to follow along with。 I'm also irritated when a writer speaks to the reader as if they're in a casual conversation and resorts to slang and bad language, even if I am properly fluent in said bad languages。 It makes for disjointed reading。 。。。more

I don't know much about affirmations, but I do know what I expected from this book and that is exactly what I got。 It is cute and fun to read and I did enjoy it, but it is no better than any other self help I've read before。 I don't know much about affirmations, but I do know what I expected from this book and that is exactly what I got。 It is cute and fun to read and I did enjoy it, but it is no better than any other self help I've read before。 。。。more

I like it。 It was a little cheerleader in the language lol but the concepts are great, and I really am starting to use the daily coffee self-talk, and I also grabbed another book it recommended。I find we are all in a funk right now, this is a great time to start this new habit!

The book is a bit repetitive for me。 I felt like everything could have been summed up on 50 pages。 I do like the idea behind it and think a little positive self talk could do us all some good。

There were some things I really loved about this book。 I loved that the author attached coffee drinking, an activity I do every day and enjoy, with an affirmation practice。 She made it very easy by stating that it would only take 5 minutes while drinking your coffee in the morning。 I did follow along, not sure it would work for me, but I found I loved doing it。 I have been writing and re-writing my affirmations and it saying them each day starts my day on a positive note! Affirmations are positive statements you say to yourself i。e。 I take care of my body by exercising, eating right and practicing mindfulness, etc。 Critique: the author curses unnecessarily at times and it turned me off。 She is talking about creating a beautiful and peaceful way to start the day and then throws in some curses from time to time。 It detracted from my enjoyment of the book - it didn't fit! Also, I was turned off by affirmations to garner more wealth - just not my thing。 I was inspired by the affirmations dealing with health, happiness and love。 The author never suggested any affirmations to do with service to the community or others and I felt that was sorely missing from this book。 It is something important to me i。e。 using my gifts to make the world a better place。 The author's affirmations were very "me" oriented。 All in all, I'm glad I read this book。 I have started a practice of doing my affirmations while drinking my coffee in the morning。 It is a really nice way to start the day! 。。。more

I could just feel her awesome high vibe energy through the words。 She really wants to spread the secret to being empowered, your best self and live a magical, lit up life! I LOVE the idea of this book! I love reading a book like this once a year。 It's so nice to get some tricks and tips to help myself grow and be better than I was yesterday。 Coffee Self-talk is a way to transform your life by boosting your self-esteem, filling you with happiness, and helping you attract the magical life you dream of living。 All of this in the time it takes you to drink your morning coffee。This was quick but I enjoyed it。 There are a lot tip and tricks anyone can sprinkle into your life。 It was so uplifting jus I love reading a book like this once a year。 It's so nice to get some tricks and tips to help myself grow and be better than I was yesterday。 Coffee Self-talk is a way to transform your life by boosting your self-esteem, filling you with happiness, and helping you attract the magical life you dream of living。 All of this in the time it takes you to drink your morning coffee。This was quick but I enjoyed it。 There are a lot tip and tricks anyone can sprinkle into your life。 It was so uplifting just reading this book! I have read a few self-help books since I was younger so some of the tips were repeats for me BUT it was a good reminder to be kinder to myself。 I tried this for the first time on Sunday。 I wrote down some stuff。 Brewed my coffee and took about 10 minutes to drink my coffee and read my list out loud。 It did feel awkward at first, but by the time I was done reading my list a couple of times and finishing my coffee。。。I felt better。 I smiled and then turned on some music to start getting dressed and ready to conquer the day。 I ended up doing everything on my Sunday to-do list。 Got all my running around done。 Went shopping and my normal anxiety wasn't there。 The busy and annoying people didn't bother me as much because I was happier and calm。 It was nice。 Even if you do not do this every morning, its good to take just a few minutes to remind yourself of how awesome you are and to remind yourself you CAN conquer your day and your goals。I'm not a morning person so starting my day by myself, with my coffee (or tea), and getting myself hyped on positive energy is perfect。 I'm normally a cranky morning gal, but doing this really seemed to help。Overall, some of the content is similar to other help books, but the concept of just self-talking while you drink your first drink of the day is awesome and totally manageable。 I highly recommend checking this book out。 I'll give this 5 stars。 。。。more
