Summary

After hearing about Lucinda Riley’s recent passing in June a few days ago, reading this book (and the acknowledgements at the end specifically) was made all the more emotional and special。 what a truly incredible woman with such a talent for writing unique stories。 i knew i would love Tiggy before even starting this book, as a vegan animal lover myself i knew she would be the sister i had the most in common with。 and i’m actually very jealous of this fictional life i will never have。 and Charlie After hearing about Lucinda Riley’s recent passing in June a few days ago, reading this book (and the acknowledgements at the end specifically) was made all the more emotional and special。 what a truly incredible woman with such a talent for writing unique stories。 i knew i would love Tiggy before even starting this book, as a vegan animal lover myself i knew she would be the sister i had the most in common with。 and i’m actually very jealous of this fictional life i will never have。 and Charlie has been my favourite romantic interest to any of the girls to date! Riley really has a special way of transporting you into the different locations she writes about。 i could picture the Scottish land of Kinniard as if i were there myself - as well as then being flung into the world of Sacramento and all the culture that came with it。 loved both present and past tenses of this book, and it was super refreshing to have broken away from the forbidden/lost love theme that the rest of the precious stories have all included。 the narrative following La Candela’s career was a unique introduction for the series! i’m very sad i’m slowly getting to the end of this series although i am super excited to read about the mysterious Electra in the next book。 seeing the cover of The Sun Sister in one of my local bookstores and seeing the African picture of the front is what led me to begin this series in the first place after a swift research of whether the book was worth buying。 excited to finally get into it as an Africa lover myself! Bravo Lucinda yet again, and RIP ❤️ 。。。more

Once again, I’ve enjoyed the story of another sister! Her journey to find her beginnings and the fulfilment at the end of the story! On to Electra next!

I was most anticipating the story of Tiggie, one of the 'seven' sisters and it did not disappoint。 The geography and history of the stories are woven so well with believable (even the 'seers') characters。 Ill never be able to choose my favorite sister! The Moon sister is the 5th installment in the Seven Sisters Series by the late Lucinda Riley。In this installment we follow Tiggies story and her discovery to her heritage and family history leading up to her being adopted as a baby。Toggle takes a job position in Scotland where she meets Chilly who is part of the key to her back story。Tiggy travels to Granada to seek out a blue door behind which her history lies in wait of her discovery。 We follow Tiggies grandmother's story as it flits back in t The Moon sister is the 5th installment in the Seven Sisters Series by the late Lucinda Riley。In this installment we follow Tiggies story and her discovery to her heritage and family history leading up to her being adopted as a baby。Toggle takes a job position in Scotland where she meets Chilly who is part of the key to her back story。Tiggy travels to Granada to seek out a blue door behind which her history lies in wait of her discovery。 We follow Tiggies grandmother's story as it flits back in time and this is where we meet Lucia。 I wasn't so keen on Lucia, I wanted to give her a good shake at times as she is a very self absorbed and selfish character。 However whenever we visit Lucias era I was totally captivated with the settings in the book and felt like I was truly there! Tiggy is the spiritual sister and very modern in this sense compared to the other sisters we have met so far。 Tiggy discovers her spiritual side and nature and embraces it。 She and the Laird of the Manor she works at have an attraction to each other which was sweet however I felt it wasn't as believable the way they ended up together at the end and would have enjoyed more of a build up between them through the book。I'm also very intrigued by Zed and how he fits in with this story and their family with all the coincidences with him and his belated father and lived Tiggys curious exploration of the wine cellar back at Pa Salts House。This series always sweeps me away when I read any of the books and I can't wait to read the next installment - The Sun Sister ASAP。 。。。more

This was the story of Tiggy。 Originally based in Scotland, I enjoyed this but found it not as compulsive reading as the other Sister books。 I really enjoyed the parts of the book set in Spain though。 The historical content is where Lucinda Riley really seems to shine in her books。

Tiggy, vilken kvinna! This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I have to say I was a little disappointed in a few aspects。The good ones are that you are really teletransported to a different time and space。 The author is so capable of giving the right amount of details to make you like you are actually living the story but not too much in a level that gets you bored。That said, I was hoping that in this book the romantic idea of love would not interfere in Tiggy’s decision。Even tough Lucinda says the series is not about the search for love in a conventional I have to say I was a little disappointed in a few aspects。The good ones are that you are really teletransported to a different time and space。 The author is so capable of giving the right amount of details to make you like you are actually living the story but not too much in a level that gets you bored。That said, I was hoping that in this book the romantic idea of love would not interfere in Tiggy’s decision。Even tough Lucinda says the series is not about the search for love in a conventional way, I think thats sort masked。Here are some thoughts:1- Everything revolves around this savior MAN (Pa Salt) that everyone on the book depends and relies on。 I would’ve LOVED to see a different interpretation of Atlas as an empowered woman who adopted the six (maybe seven) sisters and built her own Empire : Atlantis2- So far, none of the sisters at the end of the book really found something related to their WORK life。 Its always very secondary in the stories。 And to me Ally and Cece had actual passions for music and painting that could’ve been more explored3- Sex is a very idealized in the books。 Most of the sisters had very few sex experiences and none of them seemed to be really secure about it。- Maia carried a burden that NO woman should ever carry because on an abortion, while the man co-responsible for the child was never warned nor took any place in that experience。 Maybe abortion should not be seen as something that terrible and actually a thing women are allowed to do。 That vision might it less of a tabu and women that had to go through it would feel like are supported。 Sorority is very powerful - In Ally’s book I was very frustrated because I saw Tom as a sexist and, honestly, a bad boss。 I do not see his decision to save Ally heroic, I see it as a captain who risked everyone eles lives just for him to be crowned。 Even tough she finishes the book alone we have hints that somewhere down the road she is going to connect with the Piano player。 That got me thinking: was it because she was pregnant? Wasn’t she free to fall in love again?- Star and Tiggy have saviors men that change their lives and basically isolate them from the rest of the society。 I clearly do no agree with that。 There is NO problem at all with beign a housewife if that is what the woman wants。 It just saddens me to see that both of them felt like that was ment to be and all they wanted for their lives。 In Tiggys case is even worse because Charlie basically goes to Spain and forces her to go back。 Wasnt she getting better with the gipsy medicine and very happy that she finally met her people and where she belonged? That was a BIG disappointment - Lastly Cece and her almost lesbian experience。 Why didn’t we explore this sooner? And why didn’t Lucinda go deeper in this as she did in the other heterosexual love stories?I have high hopes for Electra and the Sun sister to be an empowered woman that is going to find her destiny and that depends on her happiness and her whises only。I would to make clear that im not criticizing in a bad way an taking credit from the author and her brilliant ability to story-tell, Im just raising awareness on topics that sometimes fade in the background。To me, bottom line is that this series is a romantic fairytale of the 21st century and I was really hoping to have a less classical point of view on women, work and society in general。 。。。more

Ok, firstly - it’s seven sisters and it’s Lucinda Riley’s writing so it goes without saying that this book is fabulous。 The writing, the character development/journey and the linking between past and present is as phenomenal as it is in all the books。 But this is my least favourite in the series (so far) and purely down to personal preference - it was very much based on spiritual awakenings and greater powers and that’s not really my thing。 Anyone who watches my stories know that I’m about ‘as s Ok, firstly - it’s seven sisters and it’s Lucinda Riley’s writing so it goes without saying that this book is fabulous。 The writing, the character development/journey and the linking between past and present is as phenomenal as it is in all the books。 But this is my least favourite in the series (so far) and purely down to personal preference - it was very much based on spiritual awakenings and greater powers and that’s not really my thing。 Anyone who watches my stories know that I’m about ‘as spiritual as a potato waffle’ so it just didn’t set as well with me as the other characters have。 The historical setting (which is often my favourite part in all the books) is as always, fabulously written and I definitely feel that it’s taught me a lot but I really didn’t like the main character!
