。。。more

My favorite person recommended this book to me。 Which beautifully illustrates one of the first principles of the book, that word of mouth is the best advertising and selling opportunity。 How would you like to access the tools and growth of an entire sales course in just under 200 pages? Written in 2004 and yet, still completely relevant brimming with actionable items that I was able to share with my sales team as well as implement immediately。 Get your own copy, you'll love being able to refer b My favorite person recommended this book to me。 Which beautifully illustrates one of the first principles of the book, that word of mouth is the best advertising and selling opportunity。 How would you like to access the tools and growth of an entire sales course in just under 200 pages? While I am not directly in sales, I believe that life—just as it is a stage and we are all actors—is a store and we are all salespeople。 With that said, this book is so much more than a book just for people interested in selling。 Like all things Tracy, this book provided lots of tips for motivation and success。 Many of Tracy's ideas are reused throughout his books and audio programs but that doesn't bother me。 I need the constant reminders。 This book got me to write down a list of goals, circlin While I am not directly in sales, I believe that life—just as it is a stage and we are all actors—is a store and we are all salespeople。 With that said, this book is so much more than a book just for people interested in selling。 Like all things Tracy, this book provided lots of tips for motivation and success。 Many of Tracy's ideas are reused throughout his books and audio programs but that doesn't bother me。 I need the constant reminders。 This book got me to write down a list of goals, circling the one that would have the most positive impact if achieved。 After that, I took Tracy's advice and add specifics to my top goal: deadline, action steps to achieve the goal and prioritization with mini-deadlines along the way。 That goal is on the desk of my home office and I am moving toward it each day, each week, each month! 。。。more

They were some really really good parts to this book, but there were also some that was just filler and pretty much pop psychology。 I guess it would depend on the type of sales person that’s going out。 I’m not of the mindset of believe in achieve, more of the mindset of practice, practice, practice correct techniques and understanding customers to achieve better results。 All in all it was a pretty good book and worth the read。

This book really focuses on the psychology and growth mindset you need to have to sell to pple。 He does make some big claims but I think this is go emphasise his enthusiasm and build up the confidence and positive mindset of the reader。 I think if he were to hedge his claims it would be against what he was selling and the purpose of building up the readers attitude toward selling。 It focuses on cold calling, client facing, presentation based selling rather than in print or social media。 Some tak This book really focuses on the psychology and growth mindset you need to have to sell to pple。 He does make some big claims but I think this is go emphasise his enthusiasm and build up the confidence and positive mindset of the reader。 I think if he were to hedge his claims it would be against what he was selling and the purpose of building up the readers attitude toward selling。 It focuses on cold calling, client facing, presentation based selling rather than in print or social media。 Some takeaways。 Positive mindset - self affirmations telling you like yourself。 Avoiding negative internal chatter。 Don’t take rejection personally。 Take it like the weather it is out of your control and part of nature。 Just move on。 Not about sheer number of knocking doors but number of rejections you hear。 Presentation pitch is key。 Prepare several types for different customers。 Evolve and tweak as you give them and react to the customer。 Throughout pitch put sign posts to where you can introduce the closing line。 Attentive listening to the customer。 Ask a lot of questions and react to what they want。 Keep the spot light on the customer not yourself or product。 Practice makes Perfect with the pitches。 Listen to better sales pple to make yours better。 Try to find the key factor hot button that each customer has that makes the difference to whether they buy or not。 Always try to make the sale then and there。 If they ask for you to come back later。 You’ve lost the sale。 Don’t keep a foot out the door。 Be confident and try to make the sale window smaller Be ok with silence。 Allow the client time to think through what you’re selling。 Otherwise they may exit the conversation to think。 Which is a lost sale。 If you do have an appointment later on。 Schedule it formally and call on the day to confirm beforehand Don’t be scared of rejection thereby don’t waste your time。 Make sure you’re talking to a person who has authoritative power to buy。 Don’t waste time on pple who will not buy no matter what。 Tell them what the product can do for them and not what the product does。 Selling is emotional not logical。 Tell them how it will benefit them in status or need。 Building rapport will do wonders。 Enthusiastic of the product。 If you don’t believe in they won’t believe in you。 First impression matter。 Dress to impress and relate to your preferred clientele。 Makes you more relatable if you look like them Growth mindset, always be learning from books and courses。 Staying still makes you become obsolete and overtaken by younger generations。 Ask advice from leaders of industry and act on it。 Leaders of industry are happy to help those below。 Goal setting。 Smart specific measurable actionable and time dependent goals。 Setting them each day in a list and adding to it constant。 You’ll eventually reach goals this way。 I was a little put off by how often he switched genders in his examples。 But otherwise I think it’s a nice book to get some context based advice on selling and productivity advice。 。。。more

Easy to read (listen to) and straightforward, but does not include any data driven methods to increase sales。 Some of the book (particularly the personal stories) doesn't apply to 2021 or tech sales。 Nonetheless, I would recommend most of the concepts of this book。 Easy to read (listen to) and straightforward, but does not include any data driven methods to increase sales。 Some of the book (particularly the personal stories) doesn't apply to 2021 or tech sales。 Nonetheless, I would recommend most of the concepts of this book。 。。。more

Very clear thought process written in absolutely simple and readable language。 A little repetitive to start with but gathers pace pretty quickly in the second half。 Answers pretty much any situation that you would come across in selling。

A blueprint for salespeople looking to succeed。 This is easily one of the best books of it's kind。Brian Tracy covers crucial topics including why sales matters, prospecting, objection overcoming, tactics to set yourself up for the close, and active listening skills (a skill many people need to brush up on occasionally)。 In addition, he gives his 7 step program for goal setting and achievement which is worth the cost of the book alone。"The Psychology of Selling" should be at the top of all sales A blueprint for salespeople looking to succeed。 This is easily one of the best books of it's kind。Brian Tracy covers crucial topics including why sales matters, prospecting, objection overcoming, tactics to set yourself up for the close, and active listening skills (a skill many people need to brush up on occasionally)。 In addition, he gives his 7 step program for goal setting and achievement which is worth the cost of the book alone。"The Psychology of Selling" should be at the top of all sales 101 required reading lists, right next to "Think and Grow Rich" and "How to Win Friends and Influence People"。 。。。more

Great introduction to selling。 It talks to common issues and solutions。 Selling is less about being awesome and selling awesome features。 It is more about making the other side feeling awesome, being understood and providing value。I need to look my best, communicate how the solution solves the problem, raises the status of the client etc。 Making the client emotionally opened up, communicating the value and closing

A decent read, nothing revolutionary but helps build confidence with some key actions and takeaways。

Read the audiobook。 Great intro for someone who has no experience and interest in selling!

The interesting part of this book it’s that it will not bring out the bestselling concept but how to become the best of yourself in every life aspect。 For me it’s not just a selling book but a game changer in every angle of my life。
