The Night Before Kindergarten is a spin-off of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas。 It shares the same pattern and rhythm。 It goes through how students are getting ready for their first day of kindergarten。 As parents drop their kids off at Miss。 Sunrise's class, they are nervous that the children will miss them。 However, I think, and what the book portrays, is that it's always the parents who miss the children more than the children miss the parents。 The children love school and get excited once t The Night Before Kindergarten is a spin-off of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas。 It shares the same pattern and rhythm。 It goes through how students are getting ready for their first day of kindergarten。 As parents drop their kids off at Miss。 Sunrise's class, they are nervous that the children will miss them。 However, I think, and what the book portrays, is that it's always the parents who miss the children more than the children miss the parents。 The children love school and get excited once they get involved。 I remember my mom reading this to my little sister when she was about to start school。 My mom would cry every time。 I never understood why, but now I have a pretty good idea。 I think this is an adorable story for both parents and children who are about to start school。 I also think it was smart to use the same pattern tone as 'Twas the Night Before Christmas because it is usually familiar to students and something for them to get excited about。 。。。more

This book is good for kindergarten。 The young children are anxious and worried about their first day of school。 They quickly realize that it is not going to be the same as daycare。 However, the children adapt rapidly and it is the parents who struggle to say goodbye。 I like how this book ackowledged the students and the parents emotions。 I was always nervous before my first day of school in elementary because I did not know what would happen when I arrived。 Parents, because their child is so you This book is good for kindergarten。 The young children are anxious and worried about their first day of school。 They quickly realize that it is not going to be the same as daycare。 However, the children adapt rapidly and it is the parents who struggle to say goodbye。 I like how this book ackowledged the students and the parents emotions。 I was always nervous before my first day of school in elementary because I did not know what would happen when I arrived。 Parents, because their child is so young still, worry about how they will handle learning and socializing their first day of kindergarten。 This book could be read the first day of school to calm students down so that they know that it will not be a bad year and everything will be okay。 The book could also be used to try to talk about emotions and how everyone is feeling。 This could show other students that they are not alone in their feelings。 。。。more

This story can help ease the first day of school nerves! I really enjoyed this book。 The Night Before Kindergarten shares exactly what the title says and a little bit more。 This book shows different families as they all prepare for the first day of kindergarten。 The kindergarteners pack their backpacks with crayons, erasers, pencils, and many more。 Yes, some were scared and some were excited。 When they reached school all the first day jitters disappeared。 This is a cute book to read to a child who is starting kindergarten the next morning。 I feel that I really enjoyed this book。 The Night Before Kindergarten shares exactly what the title says and a little bit more。 This book shows different families as they all prepare for the first day of kindergarten。 The kindergarteners pack their backpacks with crayons, erasers, pencils, and many more。 Yes, some were scared and some were excited。 When they reached school all the first day jitters disappeared。 This is a cute book to read to a child who is starting kindergarten the next morning。 I feel that this book can help the child get all their nerves out and hopefully help them realize that kindergarten isn't all that scary。 I really loved the illustrations because it filled the whole pages with its water color detailing。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this book, it was so cute and I loved the illustration。 This book is about children going to kindergarten for the first time ever。 They were all worried because it wasn't like daycare, but in the end it was actually the parents who ended up being sad。 The children were all happy and enjoyed their first day of class。 This book would be really good for a first day of kindergarten reading。 It would be a nice book to kick off the year。 I really enjoyed this book, it was so cute and I loved the illustration。 This book is about children going to kindergarten for the first time ever。 They were all worried because it wasn't like daycare, but in the end it was actually the parents who ended up being sad。 The children were all happy and enjoyed their first day of class。 This book would be really good for a first day of kindergarten reading。 It would be a nice book to kick off the year。 。。。more

Genre: PoetryAwards:Audience: 3-6 years oldA。 This book uses lyric poetry because it imitates the story a night before Christmas。B。 The author uses rhyming to create a story that flows well and imitates the night before Christmas。 It is important to expose children to rhyming early because it helps them create patterns and comparisons in the sounds of similar words。 C。 What is another time in which you might be really excited but nervous for something? Talking in front of a group of people

This book would be great to read to Pre-K students on the last day of school, or to kindergartners starting their first days of school。 It is a story about how the students are scared for their parents to leave the classroom on the first day of school, but as they day go by they love school and tell their parents they can leave。 Reading this to kids might make them less nervous to start school。

I liked “The Night Before Thanksgiving” a LOT, but this one was just okay。 The end added a whole new thing for my kiddo to be worried about — “Why are the parents crying? Why are they sad” which hadn’t even entered her mind。 No need to impose adult emotions on little kids’ worries, I feel like the ending of the books was written for parents’ enjoyment rather than focusing on kids。

I read this book on the last day of preschool and I loved Reading this with my mom the summer before I went to kindergarten, I felt a lot less nervous about going to elementary school, because the book explained how much fun kindergarten can be。 I hope to read this to my sisters if they are nervous about kindergarten。

I read The Night Before Kindergarten by Natasha Wing。 This book would be considered contemporary realistic fiction because although none of the characters (no main character in particular) are real, the events are true and realistic for those entering kindergarten。 This book is about the anticipation and excitement that students and parents feel when a child enters kindergarten for the first time。 It depicts the excitement of students, and the struggles parents experience watching their children I read The Night Before Kindergarten by Natasha Wing。 This book would be considered contemporary realistic fiction because although none of the characters (no main character in particular) are real, the events are true and realistic for those entering kindergarten。 This book is about the anticipation and excitement that students and parents feel when a child enters kindergarten for the first time。 It depicts the excitement of students, and the struggles parents experience watching their children grow up and enter school。 I thought back to my first days of school and related to the excitement that I felt (although, I never picked out my outfit because I wore a uniform)。 I would recommend this book to families with children who are about to start or are in school。 It allowed for you to understand a parent's view and a student's view on the first day of school, and it is relatable on many levels。 。。。more

The Night Before Kindergarten is a children's picture book written by Natasha Wing and illustrated by Julie Durrel。 It is a book that shows families getting ready for the first day of school – specifically kindergarten。 As today is the day before the first day of school, I thought reading this book would be apropos to my nieces, particularly the middle one, who is heading off to kindergarten。Wing's text is simplistic and lyrical。 It is written in the style of "The Night Before Christmas"。 The po The Night Before Kindergarten is a children's picture book written by Natasha Wing and illustrated by Julie Durrel。 It is a book that shows families getting ready for the first day of school – specifically kindergarten。 As today is the day before the first day of school, I thought reading this book would be apropos to my nieces, particularly the middle one, who is heading off to kindergarten。Wing's text is simplistic and lyrical。 It is written in the style of "The Night Before Christmas"。 The poem was written especially well and follows the rhythm and style of the original poem extremely well。 Durrel's illustrations are wonderfully depicted, albeit a tad cartoonish, but represented the text and tone rather well。The premise of the book is rather straightforward。 It is the day before the first day of kindergarten and families are getting their children ready for it。 When the day comes, the children are surprised that there won’t be any nap time, but quickly forget it and have fun。 The parents, however, feared separation anxiety had nothing to fear as the kindergarteners declare that school is cool。All in all, The Night Before Kindergarten is a wonderful children's book done in the style of "The Night Before Christmas"。 It is a story about families getting ready for school – particularly kindergarten and the worries that both parent and child may have。 。。。more
