Cute little book for the 9 to 13 year old set, especially those that are reluctant readers…

I actually just rated this really high because of the illustrations (like they are super detailed and frankly really enjoyable)。 Rachel kinda went off there, kween 🎨💅

oh nikki

This is a good book! I do believe that the story was overdramatic in some parts, but a lot of it tackles real-life situations such as multitasking, planning, and persisting。

This was great for nostalgic purposes and it really had a better plot than the first book。 This book's plot really exposes the main antagonist as the two faced school bully。 It also gives the antagonist more dimension and makes her seem smarter in this book and I really enjoyed that element。 Compared to the first one this was done better。 This was great for nostalgic purposes and it really had a better plot than the first book。 This book's plot really exposes the main antagonist as the two faced school bully。 It also gives the antagonist more dimension and makes her seem smarter in this book and I really enjoyed that element。 Compared to the first one this was done better。 。。。more

3。5/5 stars, probably leaning towards 3This book was so cute。 I did take a really big break (I started this book in March, read 5%, then read the other 95% in one day during June)。 I was in college when I was reading this book so the story got a bit disrupted。 However, I finally finished it on my flight back home for summer break !!This was such a fast read, regardless of the fact that it took me over 3 months to finish。 I finished 95% of it in one sitting and it was so cute。 The humor here is s 3。5/5 stars, probably leaning towards 3This book was so cute。 I did take a really big break (I started this book in March, read 5%, then read the other 95% in one day during June)。 I was in college when I was reading this book so the story got a bit disrupted。 However, I finally finished it on my flight back home for summer break !!This was such a fast read, regardless of the fact that it took me over 3 months to finish。 I finished 95% of it in one sitting and it was so cute。 The humor here is so pure and adorable that it genuinely made me laugh。 I was on a plane, sitting in the middle seat between two complete strangers, suppressing my giggles over the silliest jokes。 No, this book doesn't have the most substance or the most originality, but it's very sweet and gentle。 It's a soft read that leaves you feeling soft vibes。 It makes me remember what I was like in middle school and I think that's really cute。 I loved so many portions of this story。 I love love loved the friendship that the author develops in this series。 Growing up, I found myself obsessed with girl/boy love interests and romantic aspects of books。 Now that I'm older, I've come to appreciate books that actually put time and effort into developing the friendships into the books。 I like this book because it's not about Nikki and her crush on Brandon。 It's about Nikki and her journey through a new place with new people and changes happening all around her。 And while I, a college student, can't necessarily relate to her anymore, middle school me absolutely did and I love that so much。 I love seeing pieces of my old personality scattered in this book and remembering what it was like。 These books are so soft and cozy and they give me a huge break from the pressure of reading about a new world, understanding a made up world, and keeping track of the implications that come from the actions main characters make。 In this book, the main character makes some dumb choices (like put down women at times or reacting to things badly) but in the end, she's a CHILD, she's supposed to act that way。 It's just really refreshing to read a story where I don't feel obligated to criticize the main characters every move and decision。Overall, this book was cute。 And while, I'm not sure if I'd reread it, I've definitely enjoyed rereading my old favorite books from a new perspective。 Summary for the future: There's a school dance and somehow Nikki books herself to go with her friends, her crush, and to babysit children。 She attempts to do it all and she succeeds until Mackenzie gets in the way。 In the end, everyone finds out what happened and Nikki finds out that she should've just communicated with them。 Reading thread: https://twitter。com/sapphicaffair/sta。。。 。。。more

Amazing!! I love these Nikki Maxwell tales。 These books are funny, relatable and sweet。 Love them so so much, your tween/teen gal must read or she cannot call herself a female! If you are a tween or teen who has not read this, well, honey, you NEED to read it! It'll become like the girly girl Bible to you! (this is not meant to be an offensive joke about God or Jesus, as a Christian I love Them。) But seriously, READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS there should really be more stars。 But still, even a bi Amazing!! Ok I'm not even sure if I reviewed it before but I think I might have read it in the past。Anyway, the book was fine, silly drama, rivalry, etc。 If you're bored and just want to read something light hearted I guess you could just read it。 Ok I'm not even sure if I reviewed it before but I think I might have read it in the past。Anyway, the book was fine, silly drama, rivalry, etc。 If you're bored and just want to read something light hearted I guess you could just read it。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I liked this book because it's funny。 It's funny because Nikki is always talking about how Mackenzie Hollister makes her want to scream。 This book is also like you reading about a girl that has a very upside down life。 Nikki's band lost the talent show (well kind of) and she was really sad because she thought that she was going to have to transfer to another school。 But she didn't know that Trever Chase thought that her band was to good for his TV show and he wanted to start working with them ri I liked this book because it's funny。 It's funny because Nikki is always talking about how Mackenzie Hollister makes her want to scream。 This book is also like you reading about a girl that has a very upside down life。 Nikki's band lost the talent show (well kind of) and she was really sad because she thought that she was going to have to transfer to another school。 But she didn't know that Trever Chase thought that her band was to good for his TV show and he wanted to start working with them right away。 In conclusion I would really recommend this book to you。THE END 。。。more
