Oh dear， when I picked this book to read I didn't realize that it was Book 5 in the series。 No wonder I was feeling a bit like I was thrown in the deep end。 Well， at least at first it was a bit hard to figure out but I'm so glad that I kept with it。 It didn't really take that long to understand more and be pulled in。 Now I want to go back and read more of the earlier part of the books。 But for now about this book。。。 both Dina and her boyfriend Sean make quite the team。 There is also a few other Oh dear， when I picked this book to read I didn't realize that it was Book 5 in the series。 No wonder I was feeling a bit like I was thrown in the deep end。 Well， at least at first it was a bit hard to figure out but I'm so glad that I kept with it。 It didn't really take that long to understand more and be pulled in。 Now I want to go back and read more of the earlier part of the books。 But for now about this book。。。 both Dina and her boyfriend Sean make quite the team。 There is also a few other unofficial， team members as well。 People who stayed， some were rescues that became friends。 And the world building was out of this world， literally。 So enjoyable， creative and colorfully full。 The upsets at the inn were epic but nothing like the battle that was coming。Great ending that left me wanting more。 。。。more

This was a short novella that returned to Dina and Sean and Gertrude Hunt。 I was happy to get back to them and definitely not disappointed by the range of new species introduced。 Solid 4 stars！

After the amazing grand finale events in One Fell Sweep when the romance thread of the plot seemed to finish， I wanted more。 I love the world of the series， the cast of characters， and yes that low hum buzz of a romance for the Innkeeper and the werewolf。 So， this novella was welcome。Sweep with Me carries on during the events off world in book four and is part of a series that must be read in order。Dina and Sean nervously anticipate their summoning to the Assembly， but then Tony drops by with th After the amazing grand finale events in One Fell Sweep when the romance thread of the plot seemed to finish， I wanted more。 I love the world of the series， the cast of characters， and yes that low hum buzz of a romance for the Innkeeper and the werewolf。 So， this novella was welcome。Sweep with Me carries on during the events off world in book four and is part of a series that must be read in order。Dina and Sean nervously anticipate their summoning to the Assembly， but then Tony drops by with the mixed news that instead they have been asked to host an alien guest who will most certainly bring a tricky situation。 Sean is so new to his chosen place at Dina's side as an Innkeeper and she is still recovering from the hardship of losing that baby Inn and the rest of the catastrophic events that her confidence in bringing it all off is shaken。 They have the big Innkeeper's holiday that means they take in one and all who have not been banned that brings them a few more complications， too。But， each of her friends and most certainly her lover and Gertrude Hunt itself teach Dina that she is not on her own and it can all be done when they work together and she learns to rely on and trust them and herself。Sweep With Me was a lovely after story， but it also felt like a reset for a new series arc because there was tone to it and of course some series plot threads are left dangling。 That said， I loved seeing Dina and Sean continue to gel as a couple and a new pair who have very different skills and ways of doing things trying to work together。 Orro has his own culinary crisis that was fun and Caldenia and Officer Marais are as entertaining as ever。 I need more and can only hope the authors return to the series at some point。 Those who have not tried this series and love a mesh of urban fantasy and sci-fi really must give it a go。 。。。more

Once again， this book hits it out of the park！ I love that you never know who will be walking in the door of Gertrude Hunt。 In addition， I enjoyed the changes that Dina makes to the inn to keep her guests happy。 I love the surprise at the end with her chef， too。I am waiting for more stories that will include her brother and sister， too， that will hopefully lead to the discovery of what happened to her parents。Great series！

Picking up immediately after the conclusion of One Fell Sweep （book 3）， and running parallel in time with Maud’s book （Sweep of the Blade， book 4） Sweep with Me takes readers back to Gertrude Hunt， the magical Inn for space travelers， where werewolf Sean is now an Innkeeper at Dina’s side。 Together they prepare for Treaty Stay， the oldest Innkeeper holiday， as well as an inquiry by the Assembly for a closer look at how they run their Inn。I initially read this book back in January 2020， and like Picking up immediately after the conclusion of One Fell Sweep （book 3）， and running parallel in time with Maud’s book （Sweep of the Blade， book 4） Sweep with Me takes readers back to Gertrude Hunt， the magical Inn for space travelers， where werewolf Sean is now an Innkeeper at Dina’s side。 Together they prepare for Treaty Stay， the oldest Innkeeper holiday， as well as an inquiry by the Assembly for a closer look at how they run their Inn。I initially read this book back in January 2020， and like most Ilona Andrews titles， I had to go in for the audiobook as well。 I continue to love this series so much， and my re-read only confirms that this is an amazing， well-crafted world。 The story is involved and creative， punctuated with hilarious wit， heart-filled banter， and harried adventure。 I adore Dina and Sean together， solidifying their relationship and working as a team to secure the Inn and their future。 Narration: This is the second Innkeeper Chronicle story narrated by Ms。 Naudus， and it’s been a long enough time since last hearing the previous narrator that it wasn’t jarring to me。 The story is told from Dina’s first person POV， and the story narrator is her voice。 Ms。 Naudus alters dialogue for each character， creating new voices for each unique being。 Her voices for Sean and Dina are similar， but distinct。 Overall， I enjoy her voice which is soothing and comforting， just like Dina。Sweep with Me is a wonderful novella and a gift to Innkeeper Chronicle fans。 Dina continues to grow and come into her prime as an Innkeeper， with Sean at her side， loving her and the Inn。 This is one of my absolute favorite series， and I look forward to more tales from Gertrude Hunt。My Ratings:Story: ANarration: B+ 。。。more

Ilona Andrews are awesome， there is no one better。Sweep With Me was another delightful reading experience。 You just cannot put an Ilona Andrews creation down。 Ilona Andrews deserves their status as best selling authors。

The Innkeeper Chronicles original trilogy didn't end on a high for me， I found it to be the weakest installment of the 3 books and it introduced a new character （who will eventually have their own book）。 I was not a fan of that。 I thought this novella is 3。5 and not 4。5 but even if I know a small （albeit expected） spoiler of book 4， I can now say I'm looking forward to it。 I wasn't sure if I want to read the book but I don't think I'm strong enough to skip a book by a favorite author of mine。 My The Innkeeper Chronicles original trilogy didn't end on a high for me， I found it to be the weakest installment of the 3 books and it introduced a new character （who will eventually have their own book）。 I was not a fan of that。 I thought this novella is 3。5 and not 4。5 but even if I know a small （albeit expected） spoiler of book 4， I can now say I'm looking forward to it。 I wasn't sure if I want to read the book but I don't think I'm strong enough to skip a book by a favorite author of mine。 My dislike for Maud's arc certainly lessened even if my question marks about her didn't。 Sweep with Me made me remember how much I like the world setting in this series and enjoy reading about all those unusual guests。 It's Treaty Stay celebration and they can't say no to anyone who asks to stay at the Inn。。。 which can only lead to a big mess。 It's another story about Dina， Sean， and the weird guests。 It was so very fun and heartwarming read。 I enjoyed that we saw more of Orro， how I want to taste his cooking honestly！！ His part of the story was hilarious and cute。 I will always be a fan of the side characters IA writes。 I'm also now wondering more about the Drífan （will she have her own book？？ I'd be interested in that！）。 The space chickens *cough* were also a nice addition。I don't believe this series ended yet because we still don't know what happened to Dina's parents。 The books are really entertaining however and while will never be a match for KD nor HL （and let's be honest， these are so much better than most UF out there）， I'm sure I'm going to enjoy them because of IA style and humour。 I'm glad the romance wasn't heavy because I don't feel anything for Dina and Sean as a couple and we focused more on the side characters。 Overall， a light novella that made me want more stories in this freakish world。 I can easily see it as a long series of separate stories （and who knows， maybe we'll see more of The Edge's characters）。 I certainly hope she continues with it once we resolve Dina's arc with different characters。 Just like Kinsman's universe， KD， and HL， I always want to see more of these worlds （they're so fun and interesting） but also meet new characters。 。。。more
