Summary

VICTORY COMES AT A PRICE。

Mare Barrow learned this all too well when Cal’s betrayal nearly destroyed her。 Now determined to protect her heart—and secure freedom for Reds and newbloods like her—Mare resolves to overthrow the kingdom of Norta once and for all… starting with the crown on Maven’s head。

But no battle is won alone, and before the Reds may rise as one, Mare must side with the boy who broke her heart in order to defeat the boy who almost broke her。 Cal’s powerful Silver allies, alongside Mare and the Scarlet Guard, prove a formidable force。 But Maven is driven by an obsession so deep, he will stop at nothing to have Mare as his own again, even if it means demolishing everything—and everyone—in his path。

War is coming, and all Mare has fought for hangs in the balance。 Will victory be enough to topple the Silver kingdoms? Or will the little lightning girl be forever silenced?

In the epic conclusion to Victoria Aveyard’s stunning series, Mare must embrace her fate and summon all her power… for all will be tested, but not all will survive。

It took me a little more than 2 years to finish this book。。。 Anyways, I don't feel like saying much。 I'll just comment on how ironic it is that Cal was raised and educated to be a king yet he was unable to make a choice, this was extremely frustrating。 Besides that, the ending between Cal and Mare was pretty open, but I don't feel like reading their novella。 I'll review a short summary to get closure。 It took me a little more than 2 years to finish this book。。。 Anyways, I don't feel like saying much。 I'll just comment on how ironic it is that Cal was raised and educated to be a king yet he was unable to make a choice, this was extremely frustrating。 Besides that, the ending between Cal and Mare was pretty open, but I don't feel like reading their novella。 I'll review a short summary to get closure。 。。。more

Finally, I have finished the RQ series。。。 Such a disappointment!! ( I've used this word while reading this series more than I've used it in my entire life) I spent so many hours reading this huge and shitty series, fooling myself that maybe the ending will throw something shocking, but NO! All that I can say about this ending is that it was: Anticlimactic! I should have known better! Bc from the very beginning it was clear that I will come out with nothing but a very huuuuuge dissatisfaction! Finally, I have finished the RQ series。。。 Such a disappointment!!

Disappointing。 The series started average and then went down the drain。 Full of long drawn out descriptions, unnecessary information, indecisive characters and whiney teenagers。My main issue is with the writing。 Soooo much pointless information to weed through to get to the point。 There are times when there are paragraphs of rubbish inbetween conversations and when you finally get to the next speech mark, you've forgotten what was being said。 😒 Instead of filling the chapters with so much unnece Disappointing。 The series started average and then went down the drain。 Full of long drawn out descriptions, unnecessary information, indecisive characters and whiney teenagers。My main issue is with the writing。 Soooo much pointless information to weed through to get to the point。 There are times when there are paragraphs of rubbish inbetween conversations and when you finally get to the next speech mark, you've forgotten what was being said。 😒 Instead of filling the chapters with so much unnecessary crap, why didn't we get more on the new Norta or Cal and Mare finally coming together? Or even how the silver families to react to the changes that are about to happen? 🤦🏽‍♀️For some reason, at book 3 the story started to go in a different direction and things started to feel forced。 It was also at this point that it was decided that trash like Evangeline and her brother deserved redemption even though they're scum of the earth。 And Mare just decides to forgive and forget???? Give me a break。Then I had to sit through Iris's boring chapters。 😒 Why?? She's so irrelevant, especially once Maven was out of her life。 She and her people are also scum who deserved an unhappy ending。Mare and Cal are probably my least favourite MC's。 Cal cared more about being king than doing what was right, he was a hypocrite and refused to make a decision on ANYTHING! Mare is selfish, thoughtless and goes back and fourth on the same things constantly。 But their main issue was concerning the crown, so why were they still indecisive when that obstacle was finally out of the way? Just a bunch of dramatic teenagers。 Not recommended for anyone looking for a storyline that isn't annoying and actually makes sense。 。。。more

I think I'm satisfied with the ending actually。 (view spoiler)[ My only complaint is how dirty they did Maven to -it feels like- make us like Cal more。 Nonetheless, however horrible he was in this final book, he still has my heart。 (hide spoiler)] I think I'm satisfied with the ending actually。 (view spoiler)[ My only complaint is how dirty they did Maven to -it feels like- make us like Cal more。 Nonetheless, however horrible he was in this final book, he still has my heart。 (hide spoiler)] 。。。more

The Red Queen series is a TRAP!! 😂 Once I picked up the first book, I could NOT stop until I finished the last one。 And the last two books are 500 and 660 pages, so it's a commitment for sure。 However, it's never boring and absolutely worth it。 War battles, politics, human rights and equality--this book has surprises and twists all over the place。 I fell in love with Evangeline in this book, as we learn the depths of her passions and no longer see her as a total villain。 What got me stuck on thi The Red Queen series is a TRAP!! 😂 Once I picked up the first book, I could NOT stop until I finished the last one。 And the last two books are 500 and 660 pages, so it's a commitment for sure。 However, it's never boring and absolutely worth it。 War battles, politics, human rights and equality--this book has surprises and twists all over the place。 I fell in love with Evangeline in this book, as we learn the depths of her passions and no longer see her as a total villain。 What got me stuck on this series though was the story of Mare and Cal, of course。 I want to bottle up their love story and wear it as a necklace。 。。。more

But the way he died was…Disappointing。 3) I was sad to see that she didn’t pick anyone in the end。 But, I always to appreciate a good “I don’t need a man to be happy” lady。 She wasn’t Team Maven or Team Cal, she was Team Mare。 Anyways, I’m going to pretend that this book doesn’t exist like many readers because of the ending, and also because I didn’t like it。 Overall, 3/5 stars。 。。。more
