Summary

New Jersey bounty hunter Stephanie Plum knows better than to mess with family。 But when powerful mobster Salvatore “Uncle Sunny” Sunucchi goes on the lam in Trenton, it’s up to Stephanie to find him。 Uncle Sunny is charged with murder for running over a guy (twice), and nobody wants to turn him in—not his poker buddies, not his bimbo girlfriend, not his two right-hand men, Shorty and Moe。 Even Trenton’s hottest cop, Joe Morelli, has skin in the game, because—just Stephanie’s luck—the godfather is his actual godfather。 And while Morelli understands that the law is the law, his old-world grandmother, Bella, is doing everything she can to throw Stephanie off the trail。

It’s not just Uncle Sunny giving Stephanie the run-around。 Security specialist Ranger needs her help to solve the bizarre death of a top client’s mother, a woman who happened to play bingo with Stephanie’s Grandma Mazur。 Before Stephanie knows it, she’s working side by side with Ranger and Grandma at the senior center, trying to catch a killer on the loose—and the bingo balls are not rolling in their favor。

With bullet holes in her car, henchmen on her tail, and a giraffe named Kevin running wild in the streets of Trenton, Stephanie will have to up her game for the ultimate takedown。

A sadistic killer of senior citizens and Kevin the giraffe!

I'm happy to say "20" is good。 I was a bit disappointed in "18", so I'm happy that we're back on track to a good storyline, unexpected perils for Stephanie, but Ranger can always be depended on。 Definitely a satisfying book。 ("19" isn't offered in CD form and lately that's my "book" of choice。) I'm happy to say "20" is good。 I was a bit disappointed in "18", so I'm happy that we're back on track to a good storyline, unexpected perils for Stephanie, but Ranger can always be depended on。 Definitely a satisfying book。 ("19" isn't offered in CD form and lately that's my "book" of choice。) 。。。more

The storyline for this one deserves 5。 But Lorelei King cost her a star in the audiobook version by pronouncing Schnapps with the snap A sound, not correctly as mop。 Just a vent, but it really hurt my ears, sorry。

This one was laugh out loud funny。 It was a reread for me as sometimes I want to read about characters who feel like friends。

I love spending time with Stephanie, Lulu and Grandma Mazur。 The Stephanie, Morelli, Ranger triangle is getting tiresome though

Cassie

Not a disappointment! Excellent read。

Quirky。 Fun。 Outlandish。 Enjoyed the characters more than I had in several books。 I think the timing was right。

Another good one!

These books are like popcorn, salty, light, and addictive。 There are always laugh out loud moments。 I would have liked a little more resolution from Morelli’s grandma on this one。

Nicky Nunney

Lots of action in this one, and a lot of comedic and funny things happen too。 Grandma Bella freaks me out though。

I've read all the books in the series so far up to and including this one。 This one is the second-best of the book so far and the second funniest。 For me book two was the funniest。 I've read all the books in the series so far up to and including this one。 This one is the second-best of the book so far and the second funniest。 For me book two was the funniest。 。。。more

Matt Haig left me tangled up in feelings and I needed a mindless read and the Stephanie Plum series is the go to for that。 There was something so off about this book that it turned me into a conspiracy theorist who wondered who the real author is or if Janet Evanovich took an opioid and muscle relaxer combo and crapped out this book。 Missing from this installment is the trademark humor。

Mary Bowlin

Typical Stephanie Plum, entertaining!

S。

This is not my favorite one。 Stephanie has a bit of an identity crisis。

Ankita Singh

This book, like the whole series, was as hilarious as ever, and I adored every moment of it, especially the ending。

Another in the long line of entertaining detective stories starring the trouble-bound Stephanie Plum & her host of cohorts。 I've not yet read any of these novels & been disappointed。 Evanovich always comes through, spinning a good yarn and giving us plenty of laughs。 The perfect read (all of them) when you want to have a leisurely read and be thoroughly entertained! Looking forward to #21! I like the series because Janet Evanovich makes me laugh like few authors can。 I enjoyed catching up on the adventures of Stephanie Plum and her side-kick, Lula。 I have 6 more books to go to see if she ends up with Joe Morelli or Ranger or maybe someone completely new。 I wonder how long the author plans to continue the series。 These books are quick reads and always lift my spirits。 Pick one up and you'll understand why they sell so well :-)。 I like the series because Janet Evanovich makes me laugh like few authors can。 I enjoyed catching up on the adventures of Stephanie Plum and her side-kick, Lula。 I have 6 more books to go to see if she ends up with Joe Morelli or Ranger or maybe someone completely new。 I wonder how long the author plans to continue the series。 These books are quick reads and always lift my spirits。 Pick one up and you'll understand why they sell so well :-)。 。。。more

Typical quick beach read。 Plum is tracking down mob boss to bring in, gets involved in finding killer of old women who leaves them in dumpsters and sights a giraffe running loose throughout。
