Summary

When a playboy falls for a nerd, chemistry results in an explosive reaction!

Playboy Maya catches studious Nemugasa cheating on a test, and to ensure his silence, Maya blackmails Nemugasa into doing whatever he wants! But is this merely just a ruse so Maya can spend more alone time with him?

Maya and Nemugasa are now officially lovers, but it’s the summer of their third year of high school, meaning even more studying for college entrance exams。 Their relationship is reduced to stealing kisses at lunch and the occasional sleepover。 Stressed out and desperately wanting some alone time, the couple winds up having a massive—even dangerous?—misunderstanding! Things only get worse when the two eventually end up attending separate colleges and can no longer see each other every day。 How will Nemugasa handle Maya’s continued popularity with the ladies? And what will Maya do when Nemugasa makes a new friend at college?

I really love the art in this series。 I also love Akira, and sometimes Jutta when he’s causing careless havoc (not so much when he tries to “take Akira’s favorite things” though)。 So even though Nemugasa is kind of boring and I can’t get past the fact their relationship was founded on blackmail, I continue reading。

Finallyyyy finished this。 This volume really tries to pretend the first volume didn't happen lol。 They had cute moments and Maya looks really good with his new hairstyle, but god Nemu is so annoying。 I was mostly bored/uninterested with this。 I didn't really like it until Jutta's story which was so toxic, but I want more。 I would read these books if it was focused on Jutta and the teacher。 Finallyyyy finished this。 This volume really tries to pretend the first volume didn't happen lol。 They had cute moments and Maya looks really good with his new hairstyle, but god Nemu is so annoying。 I was mostly bored/uninterested with this。 I didn't really like it until Jutta's story which was so toxic, but I want more。 I would read these books if it was focused on Jutta and the teacher。 。。。more

The second bound volume of the series encapsulates volume three and four of the series which is a great deal of smutty YAOI for the price。 That, in itself, would be a five star recommendation。 Include in there Yonezou Nekota's gorgeous Maya, going from blonde punk, to serious dark haired college exam prepper, and Nemugasa finally coming to the realization on just what an awesome catch he actually has on his hands。 Blushes abound through the book, and of course Nemu's tighty whites make their app The second bound volume of the series encapsulates volume three and four of the series which is a great deal of smutty YAOI for the price。 That, in itself, would be a five star recommendation。 Include in there Yonezou Nekota's gorgeous Maya, going from blonde punk, to serious dark haired college exam prepper, and Nemugasa finally coming to the realization on just what an awesome catch he actually has on his hands。 Blushes abound through the book, and of course Nemu's tighty whites make their appearance too。 We're introduced to a new character, Okino, the twinkiest twink that ever twinked, and the shambles of his love life。 We also revisit Jutta, still back in high school and his attempted rape of Akira's former love interest, Sanada Sensei, the physics teacher。 Yes, there are going to be triggers in this work for some, but it's also packed full of all the feels and the UwU。 。。。more

I definatly enjoyed this book more so than the first。 Watching the boys grow into men and struggles of growing up。 It was a fun time but still really dirty!

This reread is the best decision I've made in a long time。 Volumes 3 and 4 are where my heart just takes off for this couple。 Their maturity and growth into couple goals in this omnibus is a joy to watch。 Maya truly understands Nemu in a way that Nemu can't even comprehend。 And it's such a believable change from volume 1 Maya to volume 4 Maya。 The transition is believable, well paced, and well thought out。 I definitely commend the mangaka。 Can't wait to continue on this reread。 This reread is the best decision I've made in a long time。 Volumes 3 and 4 are where my heart just takes off for this couple。 Their maturity and growth into couple goals in this omnibus is a joy to watch。 Maya truly understands Nemu in a way that Nemu can't even comprehend。 And it's such a believable change from volume 1 Maya to volume 4 Maya。 The transition is believable, well paced, and well thought out。 I definitely commend the mangaka。 Can't wait to continue on this reread。 。。。more

This one was MUCH better than the first two for me。 The stories were both great, but where volumes one and two were so explicit and the situations were edgy this one seems to have found a maturity and simplicity in their growing relationship emotionally and physically。 I probably won’t seek out the rest if I can’t get them from the library, but I do wonder where the story goes。My Response: When I returned Don’t Be Cruel (#1 & #2) to the library, I was pleasantly surprised they had this one on t This one was MUCH better than the first two for me。 The stories were both great, but where volumes one and two were so explicit and the situations were edgy this one seems to have found a maturity and simplicity in their growing relationship emotionally and physically。 I probably won’t seek out the rest if I can’t get them from the library, but I do wonder where the story goes。My Response: When I returned Don’t Be Cruel (#1 & #2) to the library, I was pleasantly surprised they had this one on the shelf so I grabbed it。 Sadly, it’s the last one I think the library has, but I haven’t looked at all the digital options yet。This one was much more to my taste than the first two volumes。 It was much more loving and nurturing and much less focused on blackmail and rape/sex。 There were still a few blush-inducing scenes, but they were more loving and caring than in the first anthology。 I was able to successfully read this without closing it and quickly putting it in my bag。Click here to continue reading on my book blog The Oddness of Moving Things。 。。。more

Still angsty! Still good! Continued character growth! (IDK how I feel about Maya's new hair style。。。。) I also don't know how I feel about Nemu's mom??? Haha it's not like she's in it much。 And if those are the only two complaints I can think of off the top of my head, that's pretty decent。 It's still dramatic and sexy and all sorts of other good stuff。 :) And their relationship is healthier than it was in the first volume (which is not saying a lot, tbh!)。 But they still have a long way to go。No Still angsty! It took me a lot longer to read this book than I originally thought it would take。 I'm not completely invested in this story。 If it wasn't for the fact that I bought the entire series, I probably would have stopped at the last book, but knowing that I spent over £100 to get all the books has me thinking that at the very least, I need to read them once。 I can unhaul them after that if I want to。I don't remember much from the first half of the story that I read in January。 I didn't feel like I nee It took me a lot longer to read this book than I originally thought it would take。 I'm not completely invested in this story。 If it wasn't for the fact that I bought the entire series, I probably would have stopped at the last book, but knowing that I spent over £100 to get all the books has me thinking that at the very least, I need to read them once。 I can unhaul them after that if I want to。I don't remember much from the first half of the story that I read in January。 I didn't feel like I needed to reread the beginning of the book to get the rest of the story。 I was surprised to see how the story developed though。 I was expecting the main couple to go through more trouble, especially when graduating high school to university and getting into college。 I feel like this manga either skipped over that or all of the problems happened in the previous volume and I've just forgotten because it's been two months and two colds since then。The only thing truly keeping me going in this series (other than the potential to lose the money I invested into the series), is the main couple。 I like them enough to continue onwards。 They had the most unhealthiest of starts, but they have developed into a cute couple that communicates。I would be lying if I said that I'm looking forward to the next volume, but I am intrigued to see where the story will go。 If this story wasn't in manga format, I wouldn't like it though。 Being able to quickly read this book is another reason why I like the series enough to continue。 If it was a novel, I probably would have DNFed the book。 。。。more

This 2- in -1 Edition, contains Vols。 3 and 4。 In these volumes, we get to see the continued growth of Maya and Nemugasa。 Maya grows from an aggressive, hot-headed, delinquent into someone who actually thinks about his future 。。。。。。。 thanks to Nemu 。。。。。。。 Nemugasa starts to open up more and starts to communicate his feelings, along with some growing insecurities。 Two different personalities that complement each other 。。。。。。。。。。。。 such a cute yaoi couple。

~4/5In the first volume of this series, we get some more angsting over not getting a lot of time together。 We also get some parental drama, because Nemugasa's mom doesn't approve of Maya on first sight。 (We don't get any coming-out plot yet, though。) I liked seeing how it was solved, though。In the mix of all this, there's the underlying theme of both Maya and Nemugasa worrying about their appearance。 Maya starts worrying if he looks too much like a thug, taking out his earring at one point, and ~4/5In the first volume of this series, we get some more angsting over not getting a lot of time together。 We also get some parental drama, because Nemugasa's mom doesn't approve of Maya on first sight。 (We don't get any coming-out plot yet, though。) I liked seeing how it was solved, though。In the mix of all this, there's the underlying theme of both Maya and Nemugasa worrying about their appearance。 Maya starts worrying if he looks too much like a thug, taking out his earring at one point, and even going so far as to dye his hair。 Later in the book, we get to see Nemugasa worry whether his clothing choices are good enough, and if he should be more stylish, since he's never really thought about it before。 It's interesting to see them both wonder and worry, and how they both just want to look good for the other。In the second volume, they've graduated high school! Suddenly they're in the real world。 Maya has a job, and Nemugasa is still in school, though he feels more alone and without friends。 Nemugasa makes a gay best friend, but Maya gets jealous。 It's super cute, and I actually liked seeing their fight and how they made up。We also get to stray from the main couple for a bit, to see what Jutta is up to, and how he's tormenting one of his teachers。 He gets what he deserves in return, and I hope to see him be put in his place a little more。I seriously love this series。 It's hot and sweet and adorable。 I can't wait to read more。[Read more at my blog, Geeky Reading!] 。。。more

I found this book to be rather boring, to be honest。 The main characters spend very little time together and the bulk of the book consists of them going to school and studying or working apart from each other。 For a large part of that time they aren't even thinking of each other。 It is literally a book about going to class and studying and working a part-time job。 Not the least bit entertaining。 I read half of it and then put it on the shelf for several weeks before picking it up to finish。The s I found this book to be rather boring, to be honest。 The main characters spend very little time together and the bulk of the book consists of them going to school and studying or working apart from each other。 For a large part of that time they aren't even thinking of each other。 It is literally a book about going to class and studying and working a part-time job。 Not the least bit entertaining。 I read half of it and then put it on the shelf for several weeks before picking it up to finish。The second half was as bad as the first。 The lovers plan a trip together to make up for lost time, but then the cliche "third wheel" enters the scene and ruins everything。I reviewed volumes 1-2 and remarked they are cliche; this one is no better, but it doesn't have the added benefit of angst or romance to pad the snoozefest of the main plot。Worst of all is the return of the seme's cousin, recurring character Jutta。 Jutta shows up and tries to break up established relationships by raping the partners of his family members。 Not only is that annoying but it's disgusting。 In the last book he tried to steal his cousin's boyfriend and break up the primary relationship of the book。 In this book he discovers his older brother is still hung up on a former lover, so he rapes the ex-lover just to take something from his brother。 I hate Jutta and I hate what he does and I wish the author would drop him from the series because all he does is menace and terrorize the other characters, and an otherwise fairly fluffy romance series doesn't need a villain this dark。 It makes no sense and breaks up the atmosphere of the rest of the characters and their interactions。I am curious about the fates of the main characters but I just don't know that the series is worth following further。 。。。more

4 out of 5 starsI really liked Volume 3 and 4 more than Volume 1 and 2。 Maya and Nemu are far more mature, both in terms of their relationship with one another, and in general。 Also, no one was forcing themselves on anyone, which is problematic on an extreme level。 (Aside from the side story at the end about Maya's cousin, Jutta, and his teacher, but that is technically not part of these two volumes specifically)。Also, we are graced with the presence of black haired, Maya, who is a gift from god 4 out of 5 starsI really liked Volume 3 and 4 more than Volume 1 and 2。 Maya and Nemu are far more mature, both in terms of their relationship with one another, and in general。 Also, no one was forcing themselves on anyone, which is problematic on an extreme level。 (Aside from the side story at the end about Maya's cousin, Jutta, and his teacher, but that is technically not part of these two volumes specifically)。Also, we are graced with the presence of black haired, Maya, who is a gift from god。 Paired with Yonezou Nekota's evolving art style, which has made her characters a lot less pointy-faced, and far more anatomically correct, this series has really become a treat for the eyes。 In more ways then one, if you know what I mean。All in all, I really adore this series, and I can not wait for the release of Volume 5。 。。。more

I honestly wish that volume 1 and 2 never happened。 If it weren't for the non-con scenes in the previous volumes one could actually think Maya and Nemugasa have a more or less normal relationship which actually seems to go somewhere!
