Very interesting progression of the building of HP。 A lot of it seems like it was a stroke of luck with good managing (I guess I just really hope that it was as stated in the book and not made to look pretty in the rearview mirror)。 From working at HPI as an intern, it seems like a lot of the ideals are still around from this book, so that is at least a good thing!

A great look at the principles that made HP a great company from the start until the time they retired。 An enjoyable read。 They had such an emphasis on quality, honesty, integrity, and their great products showed it, like their RPN calculators, their atomic clocks, and their HP Basic machines。 The depressing part is that since they retired, the company has gone way downhill。 It is a good thing that they both died before a string of bad CEOs ruined the company。
