absolutes Meisterwerk von Süskind ！！！ a book I read about 3 times。。。 first time I read it in grade 10 for a presentation， which fascinated me even then but ever single time I read this book， I realized something new about it。 Grenouille is one of the best anti-heroes created， he is very complicated， as he is both the victim and the offender。 He is both a villain and a genius。 In this book one can also see how the circumstances in which one grows up completely shapes one's future。 Grenouille， who absolutes Meisterwerk von Süskind ！！！ a book I read about 3 times。。。 first time I read it in grade 10 for a presentation， which fascinated me even then but ever single time I read this book， I realized something new about it。 Grenouille is one of the best anti-heroes created， he is very complicated， as he is both the victim and the offender。 He is both a villain and a genius。 In this book one can also see how the circumstances in which one grows up completely shapes one's future。 Grenouille， who never received any kind of love and was passed around orphanages in his youth， craved to be loved， which made him create that perfume in his sick and twisted way。 Another thing that is absolutely fascinating is how Süskind conveys smell。 Whenever he describes a new place or a new person， one can immediately "smell" whether its good or bad。。。 。。。more

4。8/5。 The heck is this book？？？ And that ending 😵😵😵。 Need time to come up with a reviewThis book is dark， slightly depressing， filled with deaths and a feast for perfume lovers。 Literally， a book that left a huge imprint in my memory and one that will not fade away easily with time。 This story talks about scent， the magnificence， so tangible yet intangible， as if scent or odour is a physical being manifested in various ways from the imagination of our antagonist Jean- Baptiste Grenouille。 I love 4。8/5。 The heck is this book？？？ And that ending 😵😵😵。 Need time to come up with a reviewThis book is dark， slightly depressing， filled with deaths and a feast for perfume lovers。 Literally， a book that left a huge imprint in my memory and one that will not fade away easily with time。 This story talks about scent， the magnificence， so tangible yet intangible， as if scent or odour is a physical being manifested in various ways from the imagination of our antagonist Jean- Baptiste Grenouille。 I love the fact we follow an anti-hero， an odourless human being who doesn't care about anyone， not prone to social interaction， physically and olfactorily dismissived by everyone because his presence is a mere nothing to all of them。 All because he does not emit any odor。 What a fascinating read！ The ending got me， my god what a horrible and tragic ending befitting the story。His fascination for scent due to his innate and heightened ability of smell caused him to be obssessed with making and creating the perfect perfume transcends ordinary and ascend to the divinity。 He lives by scent through his nose， he appreciates beauty olfactorily not by sight。 Grenouille was a creature who inhales his surrounding， navigated his ways by scent and not by his eyes。Each prose that describe scents from the magnificent and intoxicating to the most repugnant and pungent stench were delicately described with minute details。 The beauty of the storytelling lies on the most descriptive details of scents written that enrapture me throughout the book。 The translation for me was exceptional although could be hard to get through the first time and also not reccommended for beginners。 Its a slow process to fully immersed in the writing but it fully captured me till the end。 Read the book if you are curious what kind of scents human exudes， what kind of human will do anything in his capability to obtain the perfect， flawless odour。 Read it if you are curious。 TW: graphic violence and murder， explicit scenes， animal cruelty 。。。more
