Summary

A first word-and-picture board book that helps children develop essential vocabulary in two languages--English and Spanish

Your child will learn all about the body and the things it can do - from eating breakfast to running and dancing - and will
enjoy poring over familiar objects laid out on a simple white background。

Ideal to introduce children to their first Spanish words both at home and at school。

My First Board Books feature a simple point-and-say layout that builds confidence in children through repeatability and encourages preschool vocabulary and language skills。 The board book format is durable and easy for young children to hold and carry on their own, and they're designed to hold up to the rough handling that comes with being a toddler's favorite book to read alone or with a parent。

My daughter found this at a little free library。 She loves it。 We can spend 20 minutes reading and talking about it。 I do wish it had more diversity in it。 It came out in 2000! The baggy overalls pulled me in so strongly that I bought some for her at a thrift store。

It was a good read。

Probably more for an older crowd。 My daughter seemed too young to truly enjoy how much good information this book went through。

My first and last kindle children's book。I don't want to review this book。 Why am I being forced to review it before I can read it? My first and last kindle children's book。I don't want to review this book。 Why am I being forced to review it before I can read it? 。。。more

Although the pictures featured a nice variety of babies, some of the pages didn't seem to fit within a 'body' book。 I can't agree with the direction of some of the language, either。 One page tells me to "feel some soft sand"。 But there is no sand to feel。 With much of the rest of the book I could point with my children to the body part。 We don't have sand lying around。 But, problems aside, this is a great next step to "Heads, Shoulders, knees and toes"。 Although the pictures featured a nice variety of babies, some of the pages didn't seem to fit within a 'body' book。 I can't agree with the direction of some of the language, either。 One page tells me to "feel some soft sand"。 But there is no sand to feel。 With much of the rest of the book I could point with my children to the body part。 We don't have sand lying around。 But, problems aside, this is a great next step to "Heads, Shoulders, knees and toes"。 。。。more

As a concept book, My First Spanish Body Board Book = Mi Primer Libro del Cuerpo, includes photos which are appealing to children between 0-12 months。 The child’s knowledge, vocabulary and narrative skills are promoted with the labeled photographs throughout this book。 This book, not only supports the development of language development through practices as of reading , talking, and playing but it also enables child to discover the world through tactile exploration (reaching and grabbing objects As a concept book, My First Spanish Body Board Book = Mi Primer Libro del Cuerpo, includes photos which are appealing to children between 0-12 months。 The child’s knowledge, vocabulary and narrative skills are promoted with the labeled photographs throughout this book。 This book, not only supports the development of language development through practices as of reading , talking, and playing but it also enables child to discover the world through tactile exploration (reaching and grabbing objects or playing with hands and toes), and to develop fine motor and gross motor skills。 。。。more

not bad, but driving me crazy。

SAS really likes parts of this book more than others。 It's definitely grown on her。 In the beginning she didn't care about it, but then just a few parts, then most of it now keeps her interest。 SAS really likes parts of this book more than others。 It's definitely grown on her。 In the beginning she didn't care about it, but then just a few parts, then most of it now keeps her interest。 。。。more

Fun pictures of babies and some of the things they do。 It would have been nice if there was a front and back 'my body' page。 Fun pictures of babies and some of the things they do。 It would have been nice if there was a front and back 'my body' page。 。。。more

On the hardcover shelf。

Beckett

Beckett likes to look at all the other babies。 Some of them have on really weird outfits。

We read this at the library。 It is one of the last books in this series that we hadn't seen yet。 I was a little let down by this one。 Instead of really focusing on the different body parts, it went through them very quickly and then covered actions and clothes and stuff。 I didn't like that。 I was expecting maybe several pictures of eyes or a whole two page spread to cover the arm and hand。 We read this at the library。 It is one of the last books in this series that we hadn't seen yet。 I was a little let down by this one。 Instead of really focusing on the different body parts, it went through them very quickly and then covered actions and clothes and stuff。 I didn't like that。 I was expecting maybe several pictures of eyes or a whole two page spread to cover the arm and hand。 。。。more

My 4 month old daughter isn't really interested in it yet, but I am sure as she is several months older she will start to like it。 It's a great book for teaching your children about our different names for facial features, also teaches baby senses, faces, and types of clothes。 My 4 month old daughter isn't really interested in it yet, but I am sure as she is several months older she will start to like it。 It's a great book for teaching your children about our different names for facial features, also teaches baby senses, faces, and types of clothes。 。。。more
