Chapter 1 opens with Sam and Remi going to Meet S。 Julien Permutter， world authority on marine history。 Permutter asks about the reason they cane to see him which leads to a flash back to Sam meeting Remi。 Most of the book is the back story of Sam and Remi and their first adventure。A very enjoyable read。

So in this book we get the back story on Sam and Remi Fargo; how they met， their first adventure， how they got rich， why they live overlooking the sea， how Sam got spy training， why Selma works for them， how they ended up married。 It's a little sappy， and that background is about 80% of the book。 Then we leap to the present where they finish the adventure they started 25 years ago。 It's a good story in a new part of the world。 The thrilling conclusion was rushed， a lot。 But overall it is a good So in this book we get the back story on Sam and Remi Fargo; how they met， their first adventure， how they got rich， why they live overlooking the sea， how Sam got spy training， why Selma works for them， how they ended up married。 It's a little sappy， and that background is about 80% of the book。 Then we leap to the present where they finish the adventure they started 25 years ago。 It's a good story in a new part of the world。 The thrilling conclusion was rushed， a lot。 But overall it is a good entertaining and engaging story like we expect from Mr Cussler。 I liked it。 。。。more

The book Wrath of Poseidon is an adventure fiction novel by Clive Cussler and it is part of a series with the same characters。 Wrath of Poseidon is about a treasure called Poseidon's trident that is lost thousands of years ago。 When Remi flies to Greece for a diving trip， she and her friend are kidnapped by people who thought they witnessed the murder that they committed。 When Sam gets a weird call from Remi， he becomes suspicious and decides to fly out to Greece to see what is going on。 When he The book Wrath of Poseidon is an adventure fiction novel by Clive Cussler and it is part of a series with the same characters。 Wrath of Poseidon is about a treasure called Poseidon's trident that is lost thousands of years ago。 When Remi flies to Greece for a diving trip， she and her friend are kidnapped by people who thought they witnessed the murder that they committed。 When Sam gets a weird call from Remi， he becomes suspicious and decides to fly out to Greece to see what is going on。 When he gets there he notices that Remi and her dive friend are missing and have been kidnapped。 He is able to locate where Remi and her friend are being held and is able to break them out。 They then go on the island that is owned by the same person who kidnapped Remi to find evidence to prove that he is guilty。 They find explosives and figure out that they are smuggling drugs and they think they have enough evidence to prove him guilty but they have to use the explosives in order to escape。 Soon after this， they are told that the kidnapper and head of the drug running company has been arrested。 Ten years later when the kidnapper is released from jail he has two goals， to find the treasure and to kill Sam and Remi Fargo。 Sam and Remi then return to Greece for one final showdown， when they meet up with the kidnapper， they are able to defeat him and give him life in jail。 I rated this book a 5 out of 5 because of the constant action。If you liked any other book from the Fargo series then you will like Wrath of Poseidon by Clive Cussler。 。。。more

The Fargo’s are my favorite characters Cussler writes， and this was a really good book。 I love the backstory and how Sam and Remi met。 Greece made for a great backdrop too。 I love Cussler adventures because he always sends you someplace exotic。 This one felt different from the rest， mostly because the majority of the book is a flashback， but it really feels like you’re there watching all the events take place。 Cussler is very cinematic in his writing， and I always enjoy his books。

Interesting story with much ancient Greek history along with a look at current island culture。 I found the amount of inane dialog to be distracting and somewhat boring。 The overall lack of testosterone in the story makes this first Sam and Remi story （for me） my last。 More sensitive readers will likely love it。
