The Celestine Prophecy contains secrets that are changing our world。 Drawing on the ancient wisdom found in a Peruvian manuscript, it tells you how to make connections between the events happening in your own life right now - and lets you see what is going to happen to you in the years to come。

A book that has been passed from hand to hand, from friend to friend, since it first appeared in small bookshops across America, The Celestine Prophecy is a work that has come to light at a time when the world deeply needs to read its words。 The story it tells is a gripping one of adventure and discovery, but it is also a guidebook that has the power to crystallize your perceptions of why you are where you are in life。。。and to direct your steps with a new energy and optimism as you head into tomorrow。

This book has a similar concept to The Alchemist where the reader follows the protagonist’s journey, and through their journey, discovers the keys of living a more enlightened life。 I think this book is excellent in delivering insights through the format of a fictional story。 It makes reading a self help book more exciting for those who read them often, while also making this information more palatable for those not seeking a step by step inspirational book。 I throughly enjoyed the insights disc This book has a similar concept to The Alchemist where the reader follows the protagonist’s journey, and through their journey, discovers the keys of living a more enlightened life。 I think this book is excellent in delivering insights through the format of a fictional story。 It makes reading a self help book more exciting for those who read them often, while also making this information more palatable for those not seeking a step by step inspirational book。 I throughly enjoyed the insights discussing playing into the dramas around you, learning your life purpose through your parent’s contributions into your upbringing, and the use of tools such as manifesting, intuition, and mediation to reach a higher frequency。 The Celestine Prophecy had potential to be a 5/5 but feel down to a 4 due to the rushed ending and lack of better writing。 。。。more

The characters are engaging。 So much so that as the story progressed I discovered I didn't want to put it down。 The characters are engaging。 So much so that as the story progressed I discovered I didn't want to put it down。 。。。more

Me lo devoré。 Me gustó que esté contado como un cuentito。 Son cuestiones espirituales complejas pero la forma del relato hace que sea muy ameno。 Me ayudó a comprender muchas cosas, y a poner en palabras otras que viví。

The insights were extremely thought provoking, but the story itself was weak, formulaic and lackluster。

Inspirational *and* entertaining!

This was my second reading of this book。 I loved the idea behind the story, but felt that it moved from a believable view in the early chapters, to really quite daft towards the end of the book。 I found the writing style frustratingly lacking in skill which is a shame。 In the right hands this could be an epic read。

Grandma INSISTED that I read this book。 Sent me a copy from Amazon。 It was 246 pages, a short read so why not? It took me a little over 3 hours to finish and it was。。。。Info dump the book。 Every character has some prophetic inspirational shit to say every time and it was always multiple paragraphs long so It was hard to read and stay focused。 Not gonna lie I skipped over a lot of the paragraphs。 They were so boring and wordy I just didn’t understand it。 You know in movies when a smart or scientis Grandma INSISTED that I read this book。 Sent me a copy from Amazon。 It was 246 pages, a short read so why not? Idk but it really weirded me out and just seemed super gross。 Like I get what they’re trying to say(I think) but it was such a weird way to write it and so off putting。 But the book is basically a self help, no such thing as coincidences, universe and energy realization book disguised as a weird sci-if pRoPHeCy~ adventure in Peru。 Just a strange book。 Sorry grandma you lost book recommendation privileges。 F O R E V E R。 。。。more

Was recommended by an acquaintance but I was not a fan of this book。 The author usually explicitly states how the main character is feeling instead of showing this through his actions。 He gives his advice through a fictional religious text, and attempts to lend credibility to this fictional text by having fictional academics fawn over the text。 A better way to lend credibility to the advice would be to have decent arguments for it so the scientists can at least have some justification for apprec Was recommended by an acquaintance but I was not a fan of this book。 The author usually explicitly states how the main character is feeling instead of showing this through his actions。 He gives his advice through a fictional religious text, and attempts to lend credibility to this fictional text by having fictional academics fawn over the text。 A better way to lend credibility to the advice would be to have decent arguments for it so the scientists can at least have some justification for appreciating the religious document as much as they do。The adversary in this book is completely unnecessary, shallow, and does not add anything other than contrived, uninteresting suspense。 It feels like filler。The author also frequently makes use of straw men to bolster the appearance of his own advice。I don’t necessarily think the ideas aren’t worth considering but this is not how concepts ought to be presented。 。。。more

I must admit I just couldn’t bring myself to finish it。 Might be helpful to some, but not my cup of tea。 Awkward writing style and too much emphasis on magic happening at the turn of the 21st century。

I loved this book as a young man and am reading it now almost 22 years later。 It is really interesting to look back and see how this book shaped a lot of the philosophies I have in life。

I read this novel when it was first released and remember liking it。 Given where I am in my personal journey, as well, as our still being in the middle of a pandemic, I thought it a good time for a re-read。 The underlying story, rooted in adventure, is pretty thin and the Insights themselves are intended to be psychologically and spiritually universal and therefore, aren’t especially unique or cerebral。 That said, I completely understand why this book became such a phenomenon。 Redfield wrote it I read this novel when it was first released and remember liking it。 Given where I am in my personal journey, as well, as our still being in the middle of a pandemic, I thought it a good time for a re-read。 The underlying story, rooted in adventure, is pretty thin and the Insights themselves are intended to be psychologically and spiritually universal and therefore, aren’t especially unique or cerebral。 That said, I completely understand why this book became such a phenomenon。 Redfield wrote it at a time when we were a few years away from entering a new millennium and there was a deep need for an ‘awakening’。 A similar phenomenon is happening now in the pandemic。 Many are looking for a deeper, more meaningful way to live。 The Celestine Prophecy hits a sweet spot – it is designed to help readers live a more meaningful life (think: user-friendly, self-help book) by presenting steps in a linear, digestible way。 It’s not so much that the material is eye-opening per se, but rather that it’s well-organized and articulated with just enough of a story to keep you turning the pages。 。。。more

Celestine prophecy was a great book。 I feel like I could have written it because it seemed to touch on many insights(pun intended) I have learned recently。Here are my top four。1-Everything is energy。 Not only is everything energy but energy vibrates, the higher the vibration, the higher the consciousness。 In the book, when they discover the ninth insight as the soldiers are closing in on them, they reach this level of consciousness。 They are vibrating so high that they are pure light and the sol Celestine prophecy was a great book。 I feel like I could have written it because it seemed to touch on many insights(pun intended) I have learned recently。Here are my top four。1-Everything is energy。 Not only is everything energy but energy vibrates, the higher the vibration, the higher the consciousness。 In the book, when they discover the ninth insight as the soldiers are closing in on them, they reach this level of consciousness。 They are vibrating so high that they are pure light and the soldiers cannot see them。 This made me think of God himself。 The term "God is everywhere we just cant see him" could refer to this concept。 That God is energy vibrating at a level that we cannot see。 God and experiences with God are nearly always described in blinding light terms。 When they reach this level of consciousness, they also see the energy and the makeup of others, the higher they vibrate the more they can see。 Almost as tho they can see the code of the matrix as they evolve (pun intended)。 Evolution in the book is described as gaining more consciousness, and it has been said that we are only trying happy when we are evolving。 When we are growing。 Maybe it is because as we evolve we get closer to the source。。 God。。 As we vibrate at higher frequency we get closer to God。 The book 3 magic words also talks about this。 Interesting observations: In the movie the Matrix, When Neo is approaching the source, he is blind, but can see the world in bright light。 You see this as he takes steps。 The oracle guardian is Seraph, who is rumored to be a guardian angel。 When Neo sees his code, it is a bright light, not green not the matrix code。 Also, in the book, it talks about food and the energy it provides。 And how when we pray before meals, it is to prepare our bodies for the energy。 Everything is energy, and that is why those that learn to control it can control the physical world around it。 I believe deeply that the world around us we meant for us to live with as one。 2- In the book, we are reminded over and over again that there are no coincidences, everything happens for a reason。 There is a message in every interaction and every event。 Good or bad, there is a message for you if you stop and listen。 3- In the book it speaks of Jesus as teacher more so than as someone here to save us。 He meant to teach us how to raise our consciousness to a level to be with God! To return to the energy source。 Our lives are a wave of the same ocean as everyone else。 We share the same water, when our bodies die, our wave just returns to the ocean but the water that made up that wave is still there。 4- In the book, the church wants to outlaw the insights much like the Church suppressed Jesus and his message。 Because he put the power back into the hands of the people。 When they asked Jesus how to pray, he told them to go to a corner and pray。 He didn’t tell them to go to Church。 When he wanted to preach, he took the people to the mountains, when he wanted to baptize people, the took them to the river。 Never did Jesus take them to a church but to nature, where the energy of God was surely flowing。 The people need to look inward to find grace, because they have the same energy that makes up God。 For God is within us。 It makes you wonder about the bible and the role of the church in keeps people away from God instead of bringing people to God。 More to come。。 But it was a great read。。 。。。more

Great philosophical and human reminders but I had a rough time getting past Mayans in Peru?? And why the forced prolonged chase premise?

The storytelling sometimes seems a bit too simple but I liked the quest-like story。This is really a good introduction to spirituality and the author uses intuitive analysis of interpersonal relations to introduce a deeper reflection on the topic。Definitely worth a read if spirituality or interpersonal relations are of interest

This is the book that taught me it’s okay to not finish a book。 Prior to this book I insisted on finishing everything even if I hated it。 And I finished this book because of that rule。 Then I never forced myself to do that again and my life is infinitely better。 Just wish I had given up on that rule one book earlier so I could have tossed this garbage too。
