This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 OMG， what a cliffhanger。 I was glad it wasn’t their father but brother was the masked man。 Robin Hood was a little weird & kind of a jerk。 Finding out that the Masked Man’s son was the German boy was very interesting。 I loved how soon everyone from earth will know about the fairy tale world， but hate there is a war。 Alex & Arthur being in love made my heart melt， I wished Alex would have stayed like Mother Goose。 Bree is related to Brother Grimm & that is how she found out that the Fairy tale wo OMG， what a cliffhanger。 I was glad it wasn’t their father but brother was the masked man。 Robin Hood was a little weird & kind of a jerk。 Finding out that the Masked Man’s son was the German boy was very interesting。 I loved how soon everyone from earth will know about the fairy tale world， but hate there is a war。 Alex & Arthur being in love made my heart melt， I wished Alex would have stayed like Mother Goose。 Bree is related to Brother Grimm & that is how she found out that the Fairy tale world will soon open a portal to NYC & I bet a lot of chaos will happen。 I will have to find a way to finish the series。 The first four are at the Library but for now a great series， which are all five stars ✨ 。。。more

Nachdem der 3。 Teil der Reihe mit einem wirklich gemeinen Cliffhanger endete， startet dieser 4。 Teil relativ früh mit dessen Auflösung， aber nur um quasi sofort neue Rätsel zu offenbaren， die es diesmal zu lösen gilt。 Es bietet sich deshalb an， die Vorgänger gelesen zu haben， da die einzelnen Teile aufeinander aufbauen und sich die immer wiederkehrenden Figuren weiterentwickeln。Nachdem Connor und Alex， die inzwischen fast 15jährigen Zwillinge， das Geheimnis um den Maskenmann gelüftet haben und d Nachdem der 3。 Teil der Reihe mit einem wirklich gemeinen Cliffhanger endete， startet dieser 4。 Teil relativ früh mit dessen Auflösung， aber nur um quasi sofort neue Rätsel zu offenbaren， die es diesmal zu lösen gilt。 Es bietet sich deshalb an， die Vorgänger gelesen zu haben， da die einzelnen Teile aufeinander aufbauen und sich die immer wiederkehrenden Figuren weiterentwickeln。Nachdem Connor und Alex， die inzwischen fast 15jährigen Zwillinge， das Geheimnis um den Maskenmann gelüftet haben und dessen Pläne kennen， bleibt ihnen einmal mehr nichts anderes übrig， als alles dafür zu tun， dass er nicht zum Ziel kommt。 Dabei bewegen sie sich erstmals nicht ausschließlich im magischen Land sondern tauchen auch in andere Geschichten ein。 Das ist ziemlich reizvoll， denn es beweist， dass Colfer sich nicht nur auf die bekannten Grimm-Märchen versteht， sondern sich vielmehr wie selbstverständlich durch alle möglichen Welten von Märchen bewegt。 Er definiert hiermit die komplette Welt der Märchen und Helden-Epen neu und stellt die Möglichkeit in den Raum， dass unterschiedlichste Figuren durchaus in seiner Welt miteinander agieren können。 Aber auch wenn der Autor sich weiterhin in seiner erfundenen Welt bewegt， bekommt man den Eindruck， dass seine Aussagen mit jedem Teil tiefgründiger werden。 Es mag vielleicht daran liegen， dass Leser der ersten Stunde ebenfalls älter geworden sind oder aber auch daran， dass sich die ganz reale Welt weiterentwickelt。 So erwähnt er auf S。 78 "Allerdings ist die Anderswelt ein elender Ort， dazu verdammt sich selbst zu vernichten。。。" Diese Aussage ist zwar eindeutig interpretierbar， lässt aber durchaus den Schluss zu， dass Colfers Anderswelt eben wirklich der realen Welt entspricht。 Colfer bringt außerdem Themen wie das Älterwerden， partnerschaftliche Beziehungen， Politik， Respekt und vor allem Toleranz ein。 Ein Aspekt， der mir sehr gut gefällt und der dem Buch weiteren Tiefgang verleiht und es so von einem “normalen” Märchen deutlich abhebt。 Als nämlich Alex， ob ihrer veränderten Verhaltensweisen， zur Außenseiterin wird， ist nur Mutter Gans bereit ihr zu glauben und Alex’ Meinung und Überzeugung als eben diese anzunehmen。 Niemand sonst hinterfragt Alex’ Verhalten。 Vielmehr wird sie pauschal verurteilt， weil sie nicht mehr in das Bild passt， welches von ihr erwartet wird。 Und so ist es auch Mutter Gans， die Alex dazu bringt ihre Ziele weiterhin zu verfolgen， anstatt sich zu verstecken。Liebgewonnene Figuren aus den Vorgängerteilen sind natürlich auch wieder mit dabei， haben diesmal aber nicht den Stellenwert wie in den Teilen davor。 Der Fokus liegt weiterhin auf Alex und Conner。 Aber wir lernen z。B。 an Rotkäppchen eine gänzlich neue Seite kennen。 Zwar ist Rot nach wie vor einfach egoistisch und nervig， aber diesmal auch mutig。 Das erste Mal ist sie wirklich bereit für etwas zu kämpfen， das ihr wichtig ist。 Darüber hinaus übernimmt sie Verantwortung - auch nicht gerade ihre Paradestrecke。 Ich bin sehr gespannt， ob sie diese neuen Eigenschaften dann auch im nächsten Teil beibehält oder ob dies am Ende doch nur auf ihren Egoismus zurückzuführen sein wird。 Bei den neu eingeführten Figuren musste ich besonders über Robin Hood lachen。 Colfer räumt an dieser Stelle so gründlich mit dem Helden auf， dass es absolut erheiternd ist。 Darüber hinaus ist seine Wortwahl in diesem Zusammenhang einfach nur herrlich。 Völlig unpassend für ein Märchen， aber so treffend in der Situation。 Zitat S。 276: "。。。 gegen Robin Hood wirkte selbst Rotkäppchen wie eine Havard-Absolventin。" Und eben diese Gegensätze verfolgt er häufiger。 Sie regen manchmal zum Nachdenken an und manchmal sorgen sie einfach nur für einen wundervollen Lacher während des Lesens。 Auch in der Anderswelt geht das Leben weiter， werden aus meiner Sicht Grundsteine für den nächsten Teil gelegt。 Bree Campbell stellt Nachforschungen über ihre Herkunft an und findet erstaunliche Dinge heraus。 Ich finde die Erklärungen wirklich gelungen und glaubwürdig und darüber hinaus wundervoll spannend erzählt。 So könnte es sein。 Mir waren die Abschnitte， die diese Welt und Bree betreffen， allerdings etwas zu knapp gehalten。 Immerhin ist dies ein recht großes Thema und ich erhoffe mir für den nächsten Teil， dass dies etwas ausführlicher betrachtet wird， vielleicht noch weitere spannende Aspekte hervorkommen。Ich mag Colfers Art zu erzählen！ Man kann seiner Geschichte gut folgen。 Er bringt Wendungen ein， die nicht vorhersehbar sind， spinnt rote Fäden， die mehrere Enden haben und somit Situationen an unterschiedlichen Orten zulassen。 Dies ist alles wohldurchdacht und auch， dass alle losen Enden - bis auf den einen， der letztlich in dem bösen Cliffhanger endet - am Ende wieder zusammen laufen。 Allerdings hat es mich diesmal etwas gestört， dass der Mittelteil sehr lang war。 Die Wanderung durch die unterschiedlichen Geschichten gestaltete sich irgendwann als recht zäh und ich hatte nicht den Eindruck， dass Connor und Alex ihrem Ziel dadurch näher kommen würden。 Natürlich brauchte Colfer diesen Mittelteil um Einblick in die anderen Geschichten zu verleihen， dennoch war mir dies etwas zu langatmig gestaltet。 Das wirklich spannende und temporeiche Finale war mir dann wiederum etwas zu kurz。 Man hatte den Eindruck， dass Colfer nun alles etwas fixer herunter erzählt hat。 Insbesondere die Auftaktstory wurde sehr schnell und sehr kurz aufgelöst und hätte vielleicht mehr Potential gehabt。 Alles in Allem ist dieser 4。 Teil eine gelungene Fortsetzung， die mich diesmal jedoch nicht 100%ig überzeugt hat。 Ich mag den Ansatz， weitere Figuren in die Geschichte zu involvieren， Colfers Märchenwelt so vielfältiger zu machen und Möglichkeiten zu schaffen， die es so vorher nicht gab。 Darüber hinaus nutzt er seine Möglichkeiten， Botschaften an seine Leserschaft zu senden， die sicherlich nachhaltig sein dürften。 Ich kann das Buch empfehlen， allerdings sollte man leidensfähig sein， wenn es um den Cliffhanger geht und der nächste Teil nicht sofort zur Verfügung steht。 。。。more
