Summary

Midoriya inherits the superpower of the world’s greatest hero, but greatness won’t come easy。

What would the world be like if 80 percent of the population manifested superpowers called “Quirks”? Heroes and villains would be battling it out everywhere! Being a hero would mean learning to use your power, but where would you go to study? The Hero Academy of course! But what would you do if you were one of the 20 percent who were born Quirkless?

Midoriya has learned a few tricks from Gran Torino, but some things just have to be experienced to be understood。 Even though he’s not ready, when the League of Villains attacks in the town of Hosu, Midoriya rushes to help Ida, who is engaged in a life-or-death struggle with Hero Killer Stain。 Stain has some very particular ideas about heroes and their place in society—and he means to purge every hero he can find!

Aside from the sports fest and Endeavor internship arc, the final practical exam is one of my favorites!!! I don't really care for the Stain arc so I'm happy to be done with that, but now I'm really getting into some of my favorite bits and the art is impeccable。 Aside from the sports fest and Endeavor internship arc, the final practical exam is one of my favorites!!! Some solid fights and lot of character development! What I Liked- UA Kids vs Hero Killer : I still don't understand why they should be punished and I don't like the implications of it too- Shoto opening up slowly, even making friends! : Did you see how he was defending Ida to the Chief lol- One For All - All For One backstory : Although interesting, it didn't leave as much impact- Students vs Teachers : I really love the concepts this school comes up with- Deku vs and Bakugo : DEKU - SHOOT - The Some solid fights and lot of character development! What I Liked- UA Kids vs Hero Killer : I still don't understand why they should be punished and I don't like the implications of it too- Shoto opening up slowly, even making friends! : Did you see how he was defending Ida to the Chief lol- One For All - All For One backstory : Although interesting, it didn't leave as much impact- Students vs Teachers : I really love the concepts this school comes up with- Deku vs and Bakugo : DEKU - SHOOT - The best part of this volume lolWhat I Didn't Quite Like- Naive and easy explanation of the origin of One For All- Calling it Katsuki Bakugo : Origin but having one damn chapter on him 。。。more

There's a lot to this volume! And I finally surpassed where I was in the anime, so I'm getting into story I haven't seen before。Stain is such a creepy villain, so it's nice to see how they overcome him。 I like that we got the backstory of All for One (I was very curious)。 And I love seeing Midoriya and Bakugo teaming up for once。 There's a lot to this volume! We get some training in as Midoriya can finally somewhat control his power。 The fight with Stain was great and I hope we see some aspect of that character again。 Now with a summer camp arc coming along, the battles to pass the exam are in there way。 Bakugo needs some growth, I love him and his personality being very different from what you see as a rival, but boy needs anger management。

Back for more My Hero Academia, and by now, everyone should know that I have very little negative to say about the series。 The characterization is incredible, especially considering the massive cast。 The plot is really well constructed, blending nicely the real school fears of final exams and relationships with the high stakes, high action world of superheroes。 And most importantly, it's just a hell of a lot of fun。 My only real gripes about the story this time are ones I've said before。 Having Back for more My Hero Academia, and by now, everyone should know that I have very little negative to say about the series。 The characterization is incredible, especially considering the massive cast。 The plot is really well constructed, blending nicely the real school fears of final exams and relationships with the high stakes, high action world of superheroes。 And most importantly, it's just a hell of a lot of fun。 My only real gripes about the story this time are ones I've said before。 Having watched the anime first, I feel a little spoiled。 We got to see a lot more of an in-depth look at each student's internship, including the amazing rescue operations Tsuyu Asui got to undertake。 Very little of that was present in this volume, and I'm sad about that。 Also, as many other reviewers have pointed out, the title is incredibly misleading; this is not an origin story for Bakugo。 The final chapter of the volume does delve into his beliefs, but overall, this is a volume dedicated to closing things out with the Hero Killer arc, finishing out Midoriya's internship growth, explaining the origins of One For All, and bringing in the final exam。 Still those gripes are incredibly minor, and lead to one single thought: I WANTED MORE。 Horikoshi is such a talented storyteller, and the world he created is not only massive and well-constructed, it's an absolute joy to explore。 I also love that Midoriya got to punch Bakugo finally; that jerk earned it。 。。。more

This volume was mostly exposition。 It covers the aftermath of the fight with Stain, the Hero Killer and then it's mostly explaining the origin of the villains trying to kill All Might。So, not the most entertaining for me。 I am curious about the cliffhanger it ended on, though。 If I ever met Mineta, I would kick that perv in the face, to be honest。 This volume was mostly exposition。 It covers the aftermath of the fight with Stain, the Hero Killer and then it's mostly explaining the origin of the villains trying to kill All Might。So, not the most entertaining for me。 I am curious about the cliffhanger it ended on, though。 If I ever met Mineta, I would kick that perv in the face, to be honest。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 En este tomo finaliza el arco de Stain, al igual que comienza uno de los mejores que es donde Horikoshi fue un genio, como para hacer que Katsuki y Deku pelearán contra su ídolo。Y nos muestran como es que Katsuki también está unido y admira a All might。

This was sensational 🔥❤️

There were a lot of little bits and pieces in this volume that didn’t make it into the anime, which was so interesting and fun!

Christine

As a fan of Stain, I’m sad that he ended up not being main villain。 As the students continue with their studies, Deku and Bakugo are forced to team up to defeat All Might。 This leads to Bakugo refusing to team up with Deku。 This volume is frustrating for many reasons, but the main reason is Stain leaving the picture and Bakugo treating my baby Deku like garbage。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Maybe the first "lull" I've hit in a relatively high series。 It's not bad by a stretch, but the fallout from Stain's string of murders takes up a majority of the book。 And only at the end does it pick up a bit more。 I enjoyed it, but it took me longer than usual to get through this one。 Also, chowing down on the Invincible compendium in order to watch the new Amazon series monopolized my reading time。 Maybe the first "lull" I've hit in a relatively high series。 It's not bad by a stretch, but the fallout from Stain's string of murders takes up a majority of the book。 And only at the end does it pick up a bit more。 I enjoyed it, but it took me longer than usual to get through this one。 Also, chowing down on the Invincible compendium in order to watch the new Amazon series monopolized my reading time。 。。。more

What can I say? Awesome。Bakugo's sure is a complex character, everything about him is kinda complicated and that makes me have mixed feelings about him。 But overall I like him! 3。5 starsThis was a much quieter volume than the ones preceding it but it sets up a much more ominous tone for what's to come, and I'm excited to see how everything unfolds。 3。5 starsThis was a much quieter volume than the ones preceding it but it sets up a much more ominous tone for what's to come, and I'm excited to see how everything unfolds。 。。。more
