This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 True rating 4。5- I’m currently using this book as a spine for Social Studies and Earth Science grade 2。 My son loves this book， never complains when we read and learn from this book。 I especially like that it discusses internet safety， bullying， feelings， beginning finance， other cultures and religions。 My only complaint so far is the Exploring the World section。 It would be wonderful if the places were listed by county or geographic location in the index。 This makes it difficult to at a glance True rating 4。5- I’m currently using this book as a spine for Social Studies and Earth Science grade 2。 My son loves this book， never complains when we read and learn from this book。 I especially like that it discusses internet safety， bullying， feelings， beginning finance， other cultures and religions。 My only complaint so far is the Exploring the World section。 It would be wonderful if the places were listed by county or geographic location in the index。 This makes it difficult to at a glance see if the location we are learning about has a topic covered in the book。 For example while studying Europe （Germany） Neuschwanstein Castle is one of the places but it isn’t listed in the index under the country only the name of the Place。 。。。more

Ik ben zo enthousiast over dit boek！ En dat wil ik graag even delen。 Zoveel informatie zit er in dit boek， maar toch is de informatie beperkt tot twee pagina's per onderwerp waarin alleen echte cruciale punten gegeven worden （en toch ruimte gevonden wordt voor een beetje kindse humor。 Zo hebben ze bij het stukje over angsten niet alleen de meest bekende angsten neergezet zoals Arachnafobie， maar ook de angst om naar school te gaan）。 Van kleine dingen over jezelf en je familie， tot steeds groter Ik ben zo enthousiast over dit boek！ En dat wil ik graag even delen。 Zoveel informatie zit er in dit boek， maar toch is de informatie beperkt tot twee pagina's per onderwerp waarin alleen echte cruciale punten gegeven worden （en toch ruimte gevonden wordt voor een beetje kindse humor。 Zo hebben ze bij het stukje over angsten niet alleen de meest bekende angsten neergezet zoals Arachnafobie， maar ook de angst om naar school te gaan）。 Van kleine dingen over jezelf en je familie， tot steeds groter om je heen: alles wat invloed heeft op wie je bent komt hier in naar voren。 Hoe ben je gebouwd？ Wat zijn je emoties？ Hoe is je familie？ Wat zijn je gewoontes？ Zo gaat het boek ook over verschillende culturen， landen en wat je in die landen kan vinden。 Een gevarieerd boek。 Maar een hele mooie。 Waarom？ Omdat je familie kan bestaan uit kinderen die twee papa's hebben。Omdat mensen die pesten vaak niet weten hoe ze vrienden kunnen maken。Omdat je tips krijgt over het vinden van mensen （volwassenen！） die je kunt vertrouwen。Omdat dit boek je tips geeft dat je er niet alleen voor staat en hoe je problemen kan oplossen。En dat had ik niet verwacht van een encyclopedie over 'jou'。 Maar het is logisch， en het is zo simpel en goed omschreven （en dus ook vertaald！） dat ik wou dat ieder kind dit kon lezen。 Dus zoek je nog een leuk informatief boek waar je kroost van ca。 6 jaar en wat ouder zich lekker mee kan zoet houden， dan is dit echt een aanrader。 。。。more
