3。5 stars。 Skipped parts of the book because they didn’t apply to starting a nonprofit business。 Part II, marketing, was the most helpful and interesting for me personally。

These genres are usually not my cup of tea。 However I did find a lot of useful information, and a handful of stories engaging (though I would have preferred more in-depth)There were so many things repeated throughout the book and that irks me。 I was also highly expecting revelations and secrets regarding the business/entrepreneurship world but found none。 I would recommend it to those who are looking for some motivation to break free of the nine to five cycle。 But don’t set your expectations too These genres are usually not my cup of tea。 However I did find a lot of useful information, and a handful of stories engaging (though I would have preferred more in-depth)There were so many things repeated throughout the book and that irks me。 I was also highly expecting revelations and secrets regarding the business/entrepreneurship world but found none。 I would recommend it to those who are looking for some motivation to break free of the nine to five cycle。 But don’t set your expectations too high 。。。more

If you're super early in your entrepreneurial journey and don't have much business experience, this book might be 4 or 5 stars for you。 There's a lot of ideas and examples on how you can make some money at just about anything。 There are some important business concepts which will help you understand how to market and talk about your business better。However, I found it to be way too many side hustle ideas that never really translated into decent money nor with a plan to get there。 If you're just If you're super early in your entrepreneurial journey and don't have much business experience, this book might be 4 or 5 stars for you。 There's a lot of ideas and examples on how you can make some money at just about anything。 There are some important business concepts which will help you understand how to market and talk about your business better。However, I found it to be way too many side hustle ideas that never really translated into decent money nor with a plan to get there。 If you're just starting out or you need a bit of inspiration, there might be something here for you。 There just wasn't enough substance to keep me engaged as someone who already had a business background 。。。more

A great book to learn that it's not a matter of money when starting your own business, and even more important, not every business need to become a unicorn or a big company。This book is a must for any wannabe solopreneur aspiring to be independent and build his/her dreams。 A great book to learn that it's not a matter of money when starting your own business, and even more important, not every business need to become a unicorn or a big company。This book is a must for any wannabe solopreneur aspiring to be independent and build his/her dreams。 。。。more

The book is important for anyone who is looking for a way to start。 By stating two essential elements freedom and value。 You will learn that by improving and aiming at the value you are actually going to build a successful long term business。

The first part of the book was a bit more helpful for me; however, I never really felt he produced the meat to back up the title。 There was not enough “how to” start up a business for $100, how to reinvent the way one makes a living, how to do what ones loves, or even how to create a new future。 Super disappointed。

Mallory

Fun, idea-packed book with stories of real people。 I do prefer when Chris narrates his own books unlike this one。 The audio was somewhat quiet and hard to hear through headphones

This was a great book, very relatable due to the given examples and great to use as a guideline if you want to start a business but still don’t know how or in what。 However sometimes I was missing some in depth explanations and you just have to extract the information from the examples。 All in all, I would recommend this book。

Quite interesting。 Nice to see that there many example of people who became an Entrepreneur by accident。 Perhaps something for me to think about in the future。

Did not finish。Admittedly, the audiobook format probably didn't help this book get to me。 It made it seem even more redundant。 Nevertheless, while I can appreciate that it is true enough to its summary and promise, the $100 Startup just feels like it's trying to turn an itemised list into a full book by insisting on more or less related examples and repeating itself。 Not a /bad/ book persay, but I think one gets the whole value out of it by just reading the chapters' key points。 Did not finish。Admittedly, the audiobook format probably didn't help this book get to me。 It made it seem even more redundant。 Nevertheless, while I can appreciate that it is true enough to its summary and promise, the $100 Startup just feels like it's trying to turn an itemised list into a full book by insisting on more or less related examples and repeating itself。 Not a /bad/ book persay, but I think one gets the whole value out of it by just reading the chapters' key points。 。。。more

Mostly a book to draw inspiration from as it covers many start-up stories (very superficially); could have been condensed into a blog post。
