The action, the fight, the way Asta never give up。。。 Oh my God, this is chef's kissThis volume opens a question that I actually didn't remember I had, so it's being an awesome experience remembering all the mistery that dragged me to Black Clover The action, the fight, the way Asta never give up。。。 Oh my God, this is chef's kissThis volume opens a question that I actually didn't remember I had, so it's being an awesome experience remembering all the mistery that dragged me to Black Clover 。。。more

Love the emperor。 I feel like he treats Aster like a friend which makes it more fun to read。

So BC is a new favourite? I guess so! Who would have thought? I just wish for my own well being that this series won’t go full Demon Slayer-mode and introduce characters that are taken from me way too soon。。。 Tabata - don’t you dare touch Leopold!

It’s nice to read where the anime begins and to relive it again。

I don't know about anyone else, but I am just going to say how much I LOVEEE Fuegoleon! This manga picks up right where Vol 3 left off with the bodies attacking, and it's just non-stop action the rest of the way。 We are first introduced to insidious members of the Eye if the Midnight Sun, Yuno pushes past his limits and creates a new form of his power that sticks with him the rest of the series, we get a taste of what the Magic Knight captains and elites from the different squads can do, plus we I don't know about anyone else, but I am just going to say how much I LOVEEE Fuegoleon! Also, as a fan of the Food Wars anime, it warmed my heart to read the notes in the back about how close Tabata is to that writer, and how they share ideas and conversations about manga at late night pub meetings! The little tidbits you can get from manga artists amazes me sometimes。 。。。more

Now THIS is what I'm talking about! Great action and an engaging build to a bigger plot。 The fight is still pretty drawn out but at least this time it has been interesting。 Now THIS is what I'm talking about! Edging a bit closer to a 4 now。 Not there yet, but I'm digging this。 There's a huge attack on the capital by a group of evil wizards。 So they call upon the knights to try and stop them from destroying everything。 But mid battle they get taken out of the playing field and it's up to Astra and the youngins to defend the city。 Leaving it to some funny battles, some brutal ones, and a ending that did leave me a bit shocked。 The action is clear and easy to follow, the build up to the moves is cool, a Edging a bit closer to a 4 now。 Not there yet, but I'm digging this。 There's a huge attack on the capital by a group of evil wizards。 So they call upon the knights to try and stop them from destroying everything。 But mid battle they get taken out of the playing field and it's up to Astra and the youngins to defend the city。 Leaving it to some funny battles, some brutal ones, and a ending that did leave me a bit shocked。 The action is clear and easy to follow, the build up to the moves is cool, and the pacing is quick。 The thing is, it's a typical shonen and it knows it。 It has the main character saving the day but it somehow is entertaining。 I'm hoping with a shocking defeat to a character we'll get into a dark territory and give the villains some meat。 But for now, it is still fun to read。 A 3。5 out of 5。 。。。more

Seeing the captains in action with some of their squads is exhilarating。 I love that a royal like Fuegoleon and Leo have accepted Asta as a rival rather than think he’s joking like everyone else。

Me learning more about Fuegoleon: OMG, I love this character! He's so awesome and strong and cool and fatherly and I LOVE HIM!!!Me after a finishing the volume: FOR FUCK'S SAKE, TABATA, WHY AM I NOT ALLOWED TO HAVE NICE THINGS?! WHY?!?!?!?!But in all seriousness, this was a great volume mostly because, once again, the characters and the fights were AMAZING。 While I still don't like much of the higher-up magic knights, it was super cool seeing their magic in action。 They may be one-dimensional assholes for now, but at least they can put their money where their mouth is for the most part。I have to say, I hold a lot of respect for Yuno。 It would have been so easy for Tabata to have him focus more on competing with the nobles rather than Asta, but seeing him still recognize Asta as his one true rival and put all of his effort into becoming stronger to surpass Asta is awesome。 Also, him acknowledging that while he put in an intense amount of effort to get stronger, he still needs Asta's help shows what a mature, self-aware kid he is。On a completely unrelated topic, Charmy is fucking amazing and speaks to me on a personal level。 I honestly hope she gets more screen time because her magic is so fucking interesting and I want to see more of it and how she uses it。 Oh, and Leopold is loud and hilarious and I fucking love him。 Love my little lion cub。However, if there's one complaint I have to lodge, it's that the villains are easily the most cliched and uninteresting bad guys I've seen in awhile。 Look, I get that everyone and every thing in this series is cliched, but at least I can find some positives to negate that。 Here, the only positive I can give is that their magic is really cool。 That's it。 While I want to feel sorry for Rades for what he went through, it's damn near impossible for me to do so when all he does is so over the top evil。 Also Asta and Fuegoleon pretty much shut him down from the start, so yeah, a tragic backstory's not gonna make up for all the bullshit he's done。Despite that, I'm more curious about the Eye of the Midnight Sun and their motivations as well as their reasons for wanting to destroy the clover kingdom。 Hopefully they make up for the terrible villains introduced so far。 Anyways, this was a great volume and I had a blast。 Can't wait to see where that cliffhanger goes! 。。。more

Some notes:- Never mess with Charmy's food or you'd definitely get it。 Lmao。 She's adorable。- Fuegoleon Vermillion is such a great captain!Wise words from Fuegoleon:"Being weak is nothing to be ashamed of。 Staying weak is!!""If you understand what you need to do, then get it done quick!!""Even if you possess phenomenal abilities and polish them to their fullest, without a just spirit, they're nothing but violence!! There is no one who will acknowledge something like that!!!" This manga really knows how to do cliffhangers。Fuegoloen。 I really like Captain Fuegoleon’s character。 Love how Captain Fuegoleon woke Noelle and reminded her what should be done。 And little Leo being such a cute baby boy。 Enjoyed the fight scenes here。 It’s just a shame we didn’t get to see more of the rest of the captains。 But glad to see them。

The "feminist" misandry begins。 Ughhh other than that this volume was exciting。 There were full page spreads of side characters looking badass。 New character makes lots of impact but gets gravel injured。 Fast paced and lots of excitement。 The "feminist" misandry begins。 Ughhh other than that this volume was exciting。 There were full page spreads of side characters looking badass。 New character makes lots of impact but gets gravel injured。 Fast paced and lots of excitement。 。。。more

There really wasn’t much story progression or character development at all。 This was pretty much one long battle between the terrorists and the Magic Knights。Characters (3/5): As mentioned above you see a ton of new characters in this volume from all the different bands of Magic Knights。 While our favorites do show up quite a bit, they are surrounded by a million other characters that aren’t well developed at all。 It was too much, too fast and hard to follow。Setting (3/5): The whole story takes place in the capital of Clover Kingdom。 It was an okay setting but pretty typical fantasy。 Writing/Drawing Style (3/5): While this continues to be one of the better drawn manga series, I really thought this was a bit scattered。 We are jumping between multiple groups of Magic Knights that we haven’t met before and it gets very confusing at times。 There isn’t a ton to read here because almost the whole story is one big confusing battle。My Summary (3/5): This was my least favorite volume of this series yet, so far I have continued to buy this because my 13 year old son really enjoys them。 I guess if you enjoy shounen with a ton of chaotic fight scenes and new magic moves shouted out on every other page you will really enjoy this。 I thought both the story progress and character development were really lacking。 I also thought the fight scenes were hard to follow at points。 I have volume 5 to read, so I plan on reading it, but not sure I buy any more of these after that point。 。。。more
