Science tells us that babies develop best when they are spoken to, sung to, and read to。 Introduce your baby to a world of words and pictures with these 30 classic nursery rhymes from the Mother Goose collection and beyond paired with images of Chloe Giordano’s delightful hand-embroidered illustrations on cloth。

Even when they’re tiny, the sound of their parents’ voices helps babies make sense of the world and feel comfortable with new people and places。 This treasury gives you the opportunity to rediscover just how useful (and calming) these best-loved nursery rhymes are in one, handsome volume。

Bond with your baby and help them grow as you recite and sing these timeless rhymes:

The hand stitched illustrations are the best past of the book。 Otherwise, classic nursery rhymes don’t make for the best modern day story。 There is a lost in translation with the older nursery rhymes and some of the modern ones are more accurately songs like The Wheel on the Bus for instance。

The other half doesn't enjoy reading。 So I thought getting him to read this one to our ten week old would be a challenge。 But he loves reading it to her。 It's got all the classics and some I have never heard of。 The illustrations are lovely and the baby loves it。https://thebeautifulbookbreak。com The other half doesn't enjoy reading。 So I thought getting him to read this one to our ten week old would be a challenge。 But he loves reading it to her。 It's got all the classics and some I have never heard of。 The illustrations are lovely and the baby loves it。https://thebeautifulbookbreak。com 。。。more

This is one of my favorite random library finds。The illustrations are gorgeous embroideries that are truly unique。 Truly, the beauty on each page cannot be overemphasized and the book is worth reading just to look at the pictures。 Young readers like mine might not pay much attention or get much out of them, but as an adult I was awestruck by the intricacy。The rhymes and songs included are classics that most parents will recognize。 I did find myself realizing certain songs had way more verses tha This is one of my favorite random library finds。The illustrations are gorgeous embroideries that are truly unique。 Truly, the beauty on each page cannot be overemphasized and the book is worth reading just to look at the pictures。 Young readers like mine might not pay much attention or get much out of them, but as an adult I was awestruck by the intricacy。The rhymes and songs included are classics that most parents will recognize。 I did find myself realizing certain songs had way more verses than I knew about and noticed that some of the phrasing was slightly different than I remember。 This could be a regional difference since the author is from the UK。 I was grateful to be reminded of some rhymes and songs I had forgotten about and have since incorporated them into our song routine。 。。。more

I was sent a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review。This is the loveliest book with classic nursery rhymes。 The embroidery is fantastic and magical! I have to admit I could not help buy sing along to some of them as they were bringing back memories。What makes this book standout is the amazing embroidery illustrations。 You can find hundreds of books with these nursery rhymes, but it will be hard to find one as beautiful as this one。

My baby is used to watch most of rhymes in YouTube。 She loves colors and music。 I admit, I’m terrible singer。 I’m used to reading to her random things, sometimes, novels too but this was first time I sang her rhymes and I must say it was fun reading to her。She loved Twinkle Twinkle, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Humpty Dumpty, Old MacDonald, Are You Sleeping, and The Wheels On The Bus。All rhymes were cute and nice, some I knew and some were new to me。 They were short, took little time for me to finish。 I My baby is used to watch most of rhymes in YouTube。 She loves colors and music。 I admit, I’m terrible singer。 I’m used to reading to her random things, sometimes, novels too but this was first time I sang her rhymes and I must say it was fun reading to her。She loved Twinkle Twinkle, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Humpty Dumpty, Old MacDonald, Are You Sleeping, and The Wheels On The Bus。All rhymes were cute and nice, some I knew and some were new to me。 They were short, took little time for me to finish。 I didn’t read her everyday, like title suggests, I read all of them in one day。 😜 If you don’t remember all rhymes from your childhood and you want to sing to your kid with a colorful book and cute illustrations, I recommend this book。 It can be a nice gift for new mommies。As I was playing some rhymes on YouTube before I read this book, I could see some rhymes in this had lesser verses, some had only 1 verse。overall, it was good collection, with beautiful art and vibrant colors 。 It is best gift for new mommies。*** Note : Many thanks to publisher for providing e-copy via NetGalley, in exchange for an honest review。 *** 。。。more

I LOVE the gorgeous cover with the sweet innocence of images from beloved nursery rhymes。 Looks like an embroidered work of art。 And when you open the Table of Contents, it also looks like an embroidered sampler。My heart nearly stopped when I found this statement on the copyright page, "The illustrations were embroidered with thread and needle。" Wow--such a marvelous idea! Nursery rhyme lyrics are enhanced by a work of art—apparently embroidery done by the author—to be read, or more likely sung, to babies。It’s funny that the original version of “Baa Baa Black Sheep” contains words like “jumper” and “frock。” Definitely not written by an American。 Similarly, what’s an “Itsy Wincy Spider?”In “Hush, Little Baby,” it takes way too long to get to the good gifts。 Can we just skip over to Rover from the start? I’m okay with him not barking。The ship might have pretty things for baby and me, but it’s powered by slave mice。 Just say no to pretty things。Yeah, don’t sing “The Owl and the Pussycat” out loud。Here’s a problem: what if you don’t know the song? How can you sing it?Forget old Mother Hubbard; it was her dog that stole the show! Talk about playing dead! And playing the flute。 And riding a goat。 。 。 but how could it feed the cat when the cupboards were bare? (Oh yeah, she went to the market。 Never mind。) With all the things the dog could do, I’m surprised all it could say was “Bowwow。” 。。。more

This is an adorable book for children and parents who may have forgotten all of the words or verses to the nursery rhymes and songs they heard as children。 The illustrations look as though they are handmade fabric and appear even 3-D at times。 My only confusion and slight disappointment is that some nursery rhymes include lesser known verses and others do not。 Overall though, it is a great collection for young children and parents with very engaging illustrations。 I was provided a free digital A This is an adorable book for children and parents who may have forgotten all of the words or verses to the nursery rhymes and songs they heard as children。 The illustrations look as though they are handmade fabric and appear even 3-D at times。 My only confusion and slight disappointment is that some nursery rhymes include lesser known verses and others do not。 Overall though, it is a great collection for young children and parents with very engaging illustrations。 I was provided a free digital ARC copy from NetGalley for my honest and unbiased opinion。 。。。more

Yes, this is a simple nursery rhyme book, as there are many on our shelves already, but trust me and buy this -- for your collections, as a baby shower book 。 。 。 the illustrations (which are, in fact, fabric and hand embroidery pieces) are so unique and make the whole process of reading this volume feel cozy and warm。 This is surely by design, and pursuant to the titular goal: "read to your baby every day。" An easy task with such a beautiful book。I received a complimentary e-ARC from NetGalley Yes, this is a simple nursery rhyme book, as there are many on our shelves already, but trust me and buy this -- for your collections, as a baby shower book 。 。 。 the illustrations (which are, in fact, fabric and hand embroidery pieces) are so unique and make the whole process of reading this volume feel cozy and warm。 This is surely by design, and pursuant to the titular goal: "read to your baby every day。" An easy task with such a beautiful book。I received a complimentary e-ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review。 。。。more

A bunch of story/song with rhymes for young ones。 I grew up as a French Canadian so those English nursery song/lullaby are nothing I can't relate to with childhood memories or stuff like that。 I still find those good enough, but it's really more of a sound things, some rhymes can make some children/babies react differently from others。 I would say if you like those little songs and you don,t know some by heart or want to discover new one this book might be worth looking at!
