At last a book which doesn’t patronise children or insult their intelligence。 My youngest son has severe dyslexia and one of the gifts that this brings is an extra boost to his imagination which is off the scale and innately surreal。 He thinks and memorises in pictures, so visual stimulation is important to him, but sadly children are often discouraged to daydream。 As a preschooler he loved Narnia and Lord of the Rings, yet his school reading books at age 8 are still painfully dull at best and demoralising at worst。 He has often asked us to read him books aimed at adults at bedtime, as although he can’t read yet and is desperate to, his mind wants adventure beyond the usual kids books。 This book is genius, as it feeds any child’s naturally fantastic imagination。 My boys love the detail in the drawings, the detail holds their attention - and there isn’t a dull moment in the story。 The app is magical, the characters burst out of the pages! I’ve lost count of the number of times my tech loving and book loving boys have used it。 Can’t wait for the next book! 。。。more
Karen Schafer,
Fabulous interactive read with my children。 The pages come alive with colour and movement and it really helps capture their imagination。
Sarah Evans,
Last night we read this book for the first time。 I have read many many many books over the years to my children and this is the first one we have read where the imaginative drawings literally come alive by using the app。 Absolute genius。 The children (9 & 5) loved the story and looking at the pictures as they move。
