Alex and Conner know they are no match against the Masked Man's legion of villains, but they realize that they may be in possession of the greatest weapon of all: their own imaginations! So begins the twins' journey into Conner's very own stories to gather an army of pirates, cyborgs, superheroes, and mummies as they band together for the ultimate fight against the Masked Man。

This was my least favorite of the series so far。 Less laugh-out-loud moments, little to no romance, and very little was accomplished to further the plot。 Alex and Conner gather an army for the duration of this book; I didn't feel like a whole book was needed for this purpose。 This was my least favorite of the series so far。 Less laugh-out-loud moments, little to no romance, and very little was accomplished to further the plot。 Alex and Conner gather an army for the duration of this book; I didn't feel like a whole book was needed for this purpose。 。。。more

This book was a page turner with a new surprise just as you were coming to terms with the last。 This book was amazing as it provided comfort and acceleration。 This book was one I couldn't put down and I am so happy I read it。 This book was a roller coaster; at the beginning I couldn't wait to see how it would all unravel although at the end I found myself turning each page slower as if to saver the last few pages。 This book was a page turner with a new surprise just as you were coming to terms with the last。 This book was amazing as it provided comfort and acceleration。 This book was one I couldn't put down and I am so happy I read it。 This book was a roller coaster; at the beginning I couldn't wait to see how it would all unravel although at the end I found myself turning each page slower as if to saver the last few pages。 。。。more

Another great adventure! Meeting new characters from Connor’s stories was a great concept。 Idk where Chris comes up with all of this, but it’s definitely working! I loved this book! I don’t think I read a book faster than I read this one! I just couldn’t put it down! And then that CLIFFHANGER!!!! Can’t wait to see how the series ends in the next book!

I loved that in this book, I got to actually go into Connors's book。 I got to see what he's like, what his thoughts are, and overall get to know him better。 I loved that in this book, I got to actually go into Connors's book。 I got to see what he's like, what his thoughts are, and overall get to know him better。 。。。more

In my opinion this feels like the black sheep of the series。 Just feels like a setup for the finale and is pretty forgettable。6。5/10

each book is a masterpiece。 anyone who loves fairytale and fantasy should love this booksAside from the random cuss word (come on, Chris, these books are for kids), all of the Land of Stories books are awesome。 We listen to them when we make the 6 hour drives to see Grandparents (which is often!), and it keep my 5, 12 and 10 year old's attention。 As soon as I turn it off, they are asking to turn it back on again。 ♡♡♡ High five for an awesome book series that can work for a variety of ages and ge each book is a masterpiece。 anyone who loves fairytale and fantasy should love this booksAside from the random cuss word (come on, Chris, these books are for kids), all of the Land of Stories books are awesome。 We listen to them when we make the 6 hour drives to see Grandparents (which is often!), and it keep my 5, 12 and 10 year old's attention。 As soon as I turn it off, they are asking to turn it back on again。 ♡♡♡ High five for an awesome book series that can work for a variety of ages and gender! 。。。more

All the previous books felt so Alex-centeric。 So it was so refreshing and APPRECIATED to get some well deserved Conner content。 This book continued to explore Alex and Conner’s relationship and did so in great depth, and I live for the moments where they hype each other up。I just have so much love for this series。

This was so fun to read! The adventures and the humour was top notch。 I found myself actually laughing at the jokes!! Up until now, the jokes in the other books just made me cringe intensely。 This however made me laugh。 I had a great time。 The ending was a blur of events and Alex is enchanted and made evil。。。 again and that made me mad because I love Alex way too much。 My love for the characters only increased。 I can see an amazing climax coming so I'm extremely excited to read the finale book!!!

This is probably my favorite Land of Stories book so far。 First, Connor's stories are awesome。 Starboardia is probably my favorite, but I liked all of them。 It's too bad we can't actually read them。。。Second, I loved how Charlotte (their mom) is developed much more in this series。 They spend much more time in this world and there are a lot of emotional scenes about how they're just teenagers。 We got to see old characters developed and meet new ones。 The numerous characters doing independent thing This is probably my favorite Land of Stories book so far。 First, Connor's stories are awesome。 Starboardia is probably my favorite, but I liked all of them。 It's too bad we can't actually read them。。。Second, I loved how Charlotte (their mom) is developed much more in this series。 They spend much more time in this world and there are a lot of emotional scenes about how they're just teenagers。 We got to see old characters developed and meet new ones。 The numerous characters doing independent things (view spoiler)[like Morina or the Masked Man (hide spoiler)] never got confusing, and of course it all came together for a dramatic finale。 Thankfully the next book is already out so I can see what happens next!!! 。。。more

When the twins and their friends enter worlds crafted from Conner's imagination, finding allies no one else could have ever dreamed of, the race begins to put an end to the Masked Man's reign of terror。 Can the twins finally restore peace in the fairy tale world?"The plot was super engaging and I felt drawn to it。 I found the stories that Conner and Alex travelled into more engaging live。 WritingLike always, it was ~Funny "'What would you do if somebody just cam up and told you you were a character in his story?" Alex asked。'I would punch him in the face for making this so hard!'"~Wise (why is it always so wise) “Approval is just a shortcut to self-worth, but sometimes we have to find things out on our own。 Sometimes if we want something bad enough, we have to inspire ourselves to get it。 Sometimes we have to be our own superhero。” ~Engaing~MordernCharactersThere were a lot of characters so I'll just go over my overall view。As I said, the characters grew tremendously。 Each story the twins visited added to the already growing list。 The characters were usually okay but a lot of times they weren't complete。 Chris Colfer became the victim of his own writing。 Or so I thought。 Until th characters started gaining depth and coulour。 They became interesting to read about and it was nice to read little from their point of view after Alex and Conner just recruited somebody。 It was like a break。 It feelt good to read this and I was sucked in with every word。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Mostly following Conner into his short stories, this book was so fun to read。 Especially since I really wanted to read them, and get to learn who was based on who。 In my opinion it was probably one of the best books in the series, maybe even one of the best books I have ever read。

After wishing spell this one is my favorite book so far in the land of stories series。 Actually its "The most enjoyable book of the series"。 Along with moments of joy, action, suspense there are a lot of mother - son bonding and emotional moments which I and my kid enjoyed and shred tears together。 Can't wait to read the next and last book。 After wishing spell this one is my favorite book so far in the land of stories series。 Actually its "The most enjoyable book of the series"。 Along with moments of joy, action, suspense there are a lot of mother - son bonding and emotional moments which I and my kid enjoyed and shred tears together。 Can't wait to read the next and last book。 。。。more

So Colfer has brought us all on adventures in the Land of Stories, in the Otherworld, and in the literary worlds - where else could he possibly bring us? Did not enjoy as much as the rest of the series and did not like the cliffhanger at the end。 There were good parts, but this book was all over the place。 Got too intense at the end for my 10 year old (was reading aloud to her) so I finished it up without her。
