“This world is full of magic if you choose to see it。”That wasn't enough！ Here's another。。。 “As writers， we have the profound privilege and responsibility to create a new world when the current one takes a turn for the worse。”Okay， that's enough。5 stars。I was seriously debating to give it 4 stars， but the nostalgia was too much and so it's a 5 star。Plot"In the highly anticipated conclusion to the Land of Stories series， Conner and Alex must brave the impossible。 All of the Land of Stories “This world is full of magic if you choose to see it。”That wasn't enough！ Here's another。。。 “As writers， we have the profound privilege and responsibility to create a new world when the current one takes a turn for the worse。”Okay， that's enough。5 stars。I was seriously debating to give it 4 stars， but the nostalgia was too much and so it's a 5 star。Plot"In the highly anticipated conclusion to the Land of Stories series， Conner and Alex must brave the impossible。 All of the Land of Stories fairy tale characters--heroes and villains--are no longer confined within their world！With mayhem brewing in the Big Apple， Conner and Alex will have to win their biggest battle yet。 Can the twins restore order between the human and fairy tale world？"The plot was obviously very well thought out。 There was a lot of interconnecting lines which I didn't notice until I sat down and thought about it。 But I prefer the other books over this。 The conclusion left me a bit angry because even though it would make the most sense， I felt it was overused。WritingThe writing style never changes and that's very surprising。 Over time， even the way you write changes but it was very similar throughout the series。 I also noticed that funny phrases were very rare and when Conner made a joke， I didn't find it funny。 It helped convey the panicked and tense theme better。 With the wittiness level gone down， the writing wasn't as engaging either。 The wisdom in the lines was still there。 “You don't have to be trapped inside a mirror to be trapped in the mirror。 Think about all the people who stare at their reflections and dislike what they see。 Think about all the people who base their happiness solely on what they look like。 Think about all the people who don't enjoy life because they don't enjoy their appearance。 If you ask me， the mirror imprisons us all。”I also noticed a LOT of italicised text。 There was one on literally every page and it became really annoying。CharactersI didn't feel connected to any character except Red。 Not even Conner。 Red stayed pretty much the same and she also showed exactly how nasty goats are supposed to be treated。 I really loved seeing her going out of her way to save Froggy。The other characters were very tense and down in dumps which I didn't like。 I thought it would be better if Conner tried to be a little cheerful。The book deserves a 4 star but I CANNOT bring myself to change my rating。 。。。more
