Brutal but outstanding!Needed that ending to ease my tension thru the entire trilogy, well done。 When a book stays in your head it's a good one。 Brutal but outstanding!Needed that ending to ease my tension thru the entire trilogy, well done。 When a book stays in your head it's a good one。 。。。more

A whirlwind, to be sure。 However it was hard to tell where the beginning, middle, and end were placed, causing the book to go on。。。 and on。。。 and on。 The writing style was fascinating, as well as the whole idea of the plot。

😯 wow 😯 This trilogy shook me to my core。 I haven’t felt this much pain in such a long time。 These books took my peace on more days then I would like to admit。 That being said, I am so happy I found this series when I did because I could appreciate it。 I think as a teen there are pieces about life and the meaning of it that I would never understand years ago。 I feel like in the middle of our world going through it’s first pandemic in decades made me have understanding。 Something I don’t think I 😯 wow 😯 This trilogy shook me to my core。 I haven’t felt this much pain in such a long time。 These books took my peace on more days then I would like to admit。 That being said, I am so happy I found this series when I did because I could appreciate it。 I think as a teen there are pieces about life and the meaning of it that I would never understand years ago。 I feel like in the middle of our world going through it’s first pandemic in decades made me have understanding。 Something I don’t think I would have had before。 This trilogy all I wanted was the cure and people to lose their noise。 But once Todd’s noise was gone I couldn’t wait for it to come back。 The noise was one of my favorite things about this trilogy especially the horses 🐎 and Manchee。 I still miss Todd’s dog from book 1。 I honestly feel like his dog needed to have a memorial service。 Manchee was the homie to the fullest and I love that he got an encore in book 3。 My heart is so full and anxious especially since book 3 was 80% battle。 It was intense bloody and brutal but it was necessary to get where we needed to be。 Oh and F F F F Mistress Coyle I hated her since they met。 🤬🤬🤬🤬Also the mayor is worse than "he who shall not be named 👿” 🐍 he was such a savage through and through and his powers were ridiculous。 There is so much I have to say but because I was up all night I need a mental break。 One day soon I will come in and do this correctly but right now I feel like I’m going to 🤯 explode。 This was freaking awesome 👏🏽。Thank you to Candy 🍭 for making me stick with this one it was worth it。 。。。more

I started reading this book while thinking of watching the movie。Movie got bad ratings and after reading the entire trilogy, I am happy I did not watch it。The trilogy is in parts a little long, but overall awesome, especially the topic: everybody things they are doing their best for "their people" and it ends in war。 And you understand all the views and you have no idea how this dead lock will end。 I loved it :) I started reading this book while thinking of watching the movie。Movie got bad ratings and after reading the entire trilogy, I am happy I did not watch it。The trilogy is in parts a little long, but overall awesome, especially the topic: everybody things they are doing their best for "their people" and it ends in war。 And you understand all the views and you have no idea how this dead lock will end。 I loved it :) 。。。more

Here we go again。 。。。more

Great concepts but not the best storyline

Chaos Walking was interestingly abstract but managed to absorb me into the narrative of Todd and Viola, such a great read in my opinion!

I remember reading this when I was younger and it was absolutely the best series (better than divergent and the hunger games imo)。 It had me on tender hooks the whole time, I’d walk around with it because I just couldn’t put it down。 I remember literally sobbing for half an hour at the end of the last one because of how much I connected with the characters over the trilogy and think I’m going to have to re-read them again。。。

It was a good trilogy。。 but I hoped for a better ending。 The development of the characters was good and I really liked the main concept of "THE NOISE"。 It wasn't as good as other trilogies like Hunger Games or Divergent, but I would certainly give it a second read! Kept repeating to myself "just one more chapter, then sleep。" Seems like barely a moment later when I hear bird song and it's 5:00am。 After a nap, weights and breakfast, jumped right back into it。 Glad I had time off to complete the adventure with only a few more interruptions。 Kept repeating to myself "just one more chapter, then sleep。" Seems like barely a moment later when I hear bird song and it's 5:00am。 After a nap, weights and breakfast, jumped right back into it。 Glad I had time off to complete the adventure with only a few more interruptions。 。。。more

A Book you won't put down! The story。is as old as time。 Life and death , and survival。 But the people involved are different。。。the circumstances are different and the author who pulls it together makes it real for the reader! I loved this trilogy and I loved the characters but mostly I loved the authors storytelling! He is so clear despite the chaos!! I'm not sure what to say about this book。 It both seemed to drag and to fly as I read it。 I read the first two, but skipped to the end of the last one - I wanted to know what happened, but I didn't care how it happened。 The ending didn't really feel like an ending。 I'm not sure what to say about this book。 It both seemed to drag and to fly as I read it。 I read the first two, but skipped to the end of the last one - I wanted to know what happened, but I didn't care how it happened。 The ending didn't really feel like an ending。 。。。more

Warning: This review contains spoilers if you have not read the series。So, first, this is an absolutely MINDBLOWING series。 I personally loved it, and it quickly became one of my favorite trilogies ever。 I fell in love with the characters, and I actually sobbed my eyes out when the dog died。 Ness is a master author。 He knows just which heart strings to pull in order to make you fall in love with the book, the characters, the settings, everything。 However, it is a very confusing series。 It is the Warning: This review contains spoilers if you have not read the series。So, first, this is an absolutely MINDBLOWING series。 I personally loved it, and it quickly became one of my favorite trilogies ever。 I fell in love with the characters, and I actually sobbed my eyes out when the dog died。 Ness is a master author。 He knows just which heart strings to pull in order to make you fall in love with the book, the characters, the settings, everything。 However, it is a very confusing series。 It is the kind of thing where you know which side you're on, but you don't know if that's the one you should be on。 The characters are each on separate sides, yet they stay with each other, which creates a very confusing sense of loyalty。 The series creates very mixed feelings。 Despite that, I would recommend this book to any one who loves science fiction, fantasy, or just a plain, good old story。 。。。more

A heartbreaking, beautiful story with incredible character development, world building and a narrator whose voice is so strong it’s unforgettable。 My personal favourite books of all time。 The first book is a little slow, but the second and third instalments will blow you away。 Please don’t miss out on this trilogy。

I'm gonna be honest I tried at maybe at around 40%。 Its a nice rainy day and I wanted something to go along with my French vanilla cappuccino while I listened to the storm outside。。。the "improper language" that kept happening。 examples being "preparayshuns" creachers" etc just was not doing it for me to cozy up to。 I don't feel like working that hard to figure what the character is saying for an entirety of a whole book。 I got to about pg。 18 when I realized a small headache was beginning to set I'm gonna be honest I tried at maybe at around 40%。 Its a nice rainy day and I wanted something to go along with my French vanilla cappuccino while I listened to the storm outside。。。the "improper language" that kept happening。 examples being "preparayshuns" creachers" etc just was not doing it for me to cozy up to。 I don't feel like working that hard to figure what the character is saying for an entirety of a whole book。 I got to about pg。 18 when I realized a small headache was beginning to settle in。 I saw the trailer for the movie and I am definitely intrigued by the concept of this book but I just can't with the grammar。 I understand its to be at the characters yadda yadda but I just don't feel like workin for it。。。maybe ill pick it up again。。。? but honestly probably not 。。。more

Finished book 1 - wow!Even though I really enjoyed the world, the plot and the characters I'm going to have to leave it at book 1。 I don't know how I'll feel about the movie (if I go see it), but there was such an interesting cause and effect in this book/series。 I enjoyed the writing style - the voice was VERY clear and unique from other books I've read。 It took some adjusting to, but I quite liked it。 Finished book 1 - wow!Even though I really enjoyed the world, the plot and the characters I'm going to have to leave it at book 1。 I don't know how I'll feel about the movie (if I go see it), but there was such an interesting cause and effect in this book/series。 I enjoyed the writing style - the voice was VERY clear and unique from other books I've read。 It took some adjusting to, but I quite liked it。 。。。more

It's about a world with no woman where all the living creatures can hear each other's thoughts through Noise。 A place a boy named Todd lives with his surrogate parents。 And the world suddenly changing when he follow a patch of silence in the swamp。It's been ages since the last time I read series。 But this trilogy got me hooked! For those who ever read Patrick Ness books knows how well he craft his characters and storyline that makes the reader running, laughing, and weeping with them。 It's about a world with no woman where all the living creatures can hear each other's thoughts through Noise。 A place a boy named Todd lives with his surrogate parents。 And the world suddenly changing when he follow a patch of silence in the swamp。It's been ages since the last time I read series。 But this trilogy got me hooked! Patrick Ness knows how to just punch you in the heart。I was reading an article about Chaos Walking being an unreleasable movie starring Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley, and it mentioned that the movie is based off of a trilogy written by Patrick Ness。 I knew I'd heard of Ness before and looked him up, finding that he wrote A Monster Calls。 Wow that book destroyed me, emotionally。So naturally, I had to read Chaos Walking。 This is such a dark trilogy。 There's so much hurt and anger and hatred。 The em Patrick Ness knows how to just punch you in the heart。I was reading an article about Chaos Walking being an unreleasable movie starring Tom Holland and Daisy Ridley, and it mentioned that the movie is based off of a trilogy written by Patrick Ness。 I knew I'd heard of Ness before and looked him up, finding that he wrote A Monster Calls。 Wow that book destroyed me, emotionally。So naturally, I had to read Chaos Walking。 This is such a dark trilogy。 There's so much hurt and anger and hatred。 The emotional punches don't come quite a hard as they do in A Monster Calls, but they are still there and they still hit the mark。I can't even begin to try to explain the books without going into a 10-page explanation, so I won't try, but I really don't see this story translating well to movie。 I don't think it'll work。 So much of the story has to do with thoughts, memories, emotions, and you can't visually explain that。 I imagine a movie version of this story would be as disappointing as the movie version of The Host (Stephanie Meyer) turned out to be。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 The first book of this trilogy gets a solid 4 stars from me, maybe 3 or 3。5 for the second book, but if I’m being honest I’m only giving the third book a 3 because of the first two books。 Without those I’d struggle to give the final installment anything higher than a 2。 The last book so so repetitive and full of boring filler。 The relationship between the two main characters doesn’t seem to progress much at all from the end of the first book through the rest of the series。
