A light-hearted, fun read about the what if's of the ex's。 What if the one you were meant to be with was someone you had already been with but just weren't ready for yet? A good one to read when needing something light and fluffy before falling asleep at night。 A light-hearted, fun read about the what if's of the ex's。 What if the one you were meant to be with was someone you had already been with but just weren't ready for yet? I’m trying to start reading more and this book had me hooked from the very beginning。 The book is set in 1999 before technology and it was so nice to read and follow the life of Carly Cooper before social media and technology。 I also loved the humour in it。 I’m so glad I read this book and I am about to start the sequel straight away followed by all the other Shari Low novels。 Definitely give this a read, 5*!

Brilliant characters and a thoroughly enjoyable read, I loved it。 Great humour running through the writing。 I am now reading the sequel ‘What Now!’ and unlike many film sequels it doesn’t disappoint。

What If started decently for me。 I liked the casual and funny writing。 But along the everything got a bit repetitive and I felt that the author was trying too hard to be funny。 He’s been chucked more times than an Olympic javelin。They can’t decide on names for the babies。 We suggested ‘American’ and ‘Express’; at least then she’ll bond with them immediately。I mean if you read the sentences individually, they are definitely fun but when they are constantly repeated for 355 pages, not so much!I al What If started decently for me。 I liked the casual and funny writing。 But along the everything got a bit repetitive and I felt that the author was trying too hard to be funny。 He’s been chucked more times than an Olympic javelin。They can’t decide on names for the babies。 We suggested ‘American’ and ‘Express’; at least then she’ll bond with them immediately。I mean if you read the sentences individually, they are definitely fun but when they are constantly repeated for 355 pages, not so much!I also don't get why Carly was being chased for marriage by each of her boyfriends。 And that too not just ordinary men, all with Greek-God bodies, some with huge amounts of money, and all head-over-heels in love with Carly。 I mean she is shown as an efficient and wonderful night manager but apart from that, there are no personality traits that can bring not one, not two, but six men to be ready to promise forever at the altar。Overall, a good read but not can't-put-it-down types which is generally the case for me。 。。。more

I can't understand how this has over 4 stars。 The chapters were so repetitive and the characters were dreadful。 Almost dnf'd this book。 I can't understand how this has over 4 stars。 The chapters were so repetitive and the characters were dreadful。 Almost dnf'd this book。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 CONTAINS SPOILERSSadly I didn’t like this book very much。 I disliked the main character ALOT。 I found her to be very shallow, materialistic and fickle not to mention set a TERRIBLE example to other women or young girls out there of today’s day and age。 She was reckless, somewhat selfish (especially when deciding things without even consulting her ‘fiancé’s) and yet she couldn’t have the balls to say to any of them she was unsure or having doubts (aka be open and honest?) She fell in love at the drop of a hat, and it felt like she would have ‘fallen back in love’ with anyone from her past list who would have wanted her back regardless of the order。 I also HATED what happened to Sam’s character! It was such a shame。 The ending felt completely rushed too and far too silly for my liking。 For example Joe flying all the way there, attending her brothers wedding just to ask Carly for her advice on his relationship after only just re-connecting with her? Err。。。really? Couldn’t he have done that by phone? Perhaps it was for dramatic effect or for the laughs but I just found it unnecessary。 As for the person who she ends up with, predictable! I did wonder at the very beginning though as to why he wasn’t on her list to begin with? Seeing as he was her first boyfriend & someone she ‘shagged’ later in life too *rolls eyes* if she counted the guy who was her first sexual encounter on a holiday to Benidorm as possibly being ‘the one’ then why not Mark? Baffled me。 On a positive note though, there were some funny bits that made me giggle and it was a very easy take-your-brain-out kind of read to pass time。 I enjoyed the songs listed at the beginning of each chapter for that nostalgic feel and liked the friendship between all the girls。 It gave me Sex and The City vibes so if you like that sort of thing you’ll probably enjoy this。Sadly it just missed the mark for me。 。。。more

This is the first Shari Low book I read and definitely won't be the last! What a hoot! A woman going in search of all the men she left (some almost at the altar) - what a plot-line!! It was really light and easy to read, however the outcome of the book somehow seemed predictable。 I had a nice laugh every now and then though

Not for me Sadly it wasn’t what I thought it’d be。 I’m sure others will enjoy it。 Hopefully it’ll be a winner soon。

This book popped up on my Kindle suggestions and I figured it was light relief after reading several thrillers。The story follows Carly Cooper through her failed romances and her quest to see if she's accidentally passed up Mr Right。 While ultimately predictable, the writing was such that it kept you changing who you were rooting for the whole way through。 Even though deep down you know where it's headed, you still keep holding out hope for the success of whichever man is the focus of the chapter This book popped up on my Kindle suggestions and I figured it was light relief after reading several thrillers。The story follows Carly Cooper through her failed romances and her quest to see if she's accidentally passed up Mr Right。 While ultimately predictable, the writing was such that it kept you changing who you were rooting for the whole way through。 Even though deep down you know where it's headed, you still keep holding out hope for the success of whichever man is the focus of the chapter。 。。。more

Really enjoyed it。 Bit disappointed with how it ended (and the fact that it did end) but I would definitely read more from her。 I enjoy her style or writing and descriptive language。 Charming, funny and left me wondering myself and where the journey would take me!

Funny uplifting bookI liked this book as a funny and uplifting book after a heavy crime! Just a funny and easy read about the love life and dramatic romantic encountered that Carly has had over the years and those of her friends too。 I recommended this to my friends too and as over the too Carly and her lovelies are we felt we could relate to her!

My first Shari Low book, and not my last。。。Wow。 I loved this book! In 1999 I was 19, so I enjoyed all the pop culture references because they were relevant to me! Kinda like going back in time and remembering how things were。。。 has the world seriously changed that much in 21 years? 😱I loved this story。 I laughed a lot, snorted a fair amount, and giggled between gasps and clenched hands。 Boy, what an emotional rollercoaster of a story。。。 I'm pumped to read the next book!
